I'd give 4.5 if i could. Really good dolsot bibimbap and pork bone soup! Only 3 simple side dishes (kimchi, potato, sprouts) but they were very well done with great flavor. Service was efficient.

I go to Waba when going for movies after at Coquitlam Cineplex. If you show them the movie ticket, then you can get an appetizer of your choice for free!! I always chose croquette for the free appi, and it's quite good! I'd say their seafood pancakes are also good :)  good place to try if you happen to be in the area.

One of our favourite Korean restaurants. This is a gem! The food was delicious and for great value. We always get the pork bone soup (Gamjatang) that always comes boiling in front of you with pork meat that falls off the bone. The soup is very flavourful and hearty. You can ask for mild if you do not eat spicy food. Another favourite is the Galbi short rib which came in a large portion; it was also very flavourful. The service was excellent. Although the restaurant was quite empty every time we visited, the food sure does not disappoint!

Don't know why the overall rating is so low when the majority of the reviews are positive. Great food and nice decor. We ordered the japchae, sweet & spicy fried chicken, and spicy squid & pork bulgogi & all 3 dishes were yummy. Seems like they changed owners recently (which makes having 1 server understandable). They were accommodating of food allergies. Would come again!

Edit: Came again and ordered pork and kimchi bulgogi. Even as a person who normally does not like kimchi much, I found their kimchi delicious!

This Korean restaurant has been running for a year. It is close to Coquitlam SilverCity. They have many parking stalls outside the restaurant which is great!

Atmosphere/ambiance:
Great! It is not too noisy that I could sit, eat and chat with my friend. We could take as long as we wanted. The restaurant or waitresses never rushed us. The interior design is above average that my friend and I felt comfortable and were like eating at home.

Service:
The customer service was great. They asked for tea or water once we had arrived. I told a waitress that I got a special deal on the Yelp app. It was a free appetizer once I had checked in. The free appetizer was either breaded scallops (5 pieces) at $3.95 or fried squid rings (5 pieces) at $6.95. I picked the fried squid rings as it cost more. Haha..

Food:
My friend couldn't eat spicy food. The pork katsu noodle soup was supposed to be hot and spicy, but the restaurant could make us one without spicy soup. Nice! The bowl of soup and noodle was quite big and the deep fried pork katsu tasted great. The herbed pork bone soup was excellent as well. The food that we ordered was not too salty. Sometimes we had to drink a lot of water due to high sodium and MSG. We had leftover that we had to pack them home.

Pricing:
Their prices are reasonable. The food is not expensive comparing to Jang Mo Jib in Burnaby and downtown Vancouver.

I would give them a "LIKE" here. :)

Went here with my wife and kids for lunch. I was worried because the place was empty, but the service was great. The place is very clean and the food was really good. We had never had korean food before but was surprised how much we liked it. The 4 of us ate for about $40. I have since recomended this place to friends

I gave up eating rice for a bit so I was a bit hesitant going to a Korean restaurant for lunch. I got the beef bulgogi and they had the option of having it with noodles instead of rice. It was very tasty. The sides they gave with the meals were also very good. I’m not a huge fan of kimchi but their in house kimchi was delicious. The balance of spice and tang was perfect and the ddeokbokki was a good pairing with the kimchi. Also the simmering sweet soy sauce potato (gamjajorim) was a surprising treat that went well with my bulgogi. Overall a good experience and if I’m ever in the area again I would definitely go back.

We would go back there if in the neighborhood. Good food, service, decent price. Took a bit longer than expected for the food to arrive after ordering, but not terribly bad since they put side dishes out. A few vegetarian options. Would have liked stone to be hotter to crisp up rice for the hotstone bibimbap.

Pretty good food, prices are average maybe even a little high but otherwise not to bad. Small shop. Interior decor looks great but a bit of maintenance will help it a lot more. It looks like some of the stickers on the curling are peeling off and want to fall. Otherwise the decor looks great! Food is just as great!

Loved the pumpkin croquette as suggested by the owner over the potato one and glad I listened. Bean paste soup which I don't normally ordered was wonderful.

Cute little hole in the wall. It's also connected to a bowling alley. The servers are very friendly and the food almost taste like its homemade. I really like the stone bowls and the tofu soup. They were very careful with our allergies which is awesome. I definitely would recommend and come back.

The food was fabulous! We did the dinner for 2 or more. Just two of us. Enough leftovers to take home a whole meal for the hubby.

Tried their fried chicken (half deep fried and half spicy) and it was okay. The staff was super friendly which made the whole experience from good to great. I would visit again and try other menu next time when I bowl. Food taste: 3/5 Service: 5/5
