Review The Wild Fig - Coquitlam

Came here for the Dineout menu. Food was good in general. If it could be a tad hotter, especially the soup, it would even better. Service was excellent. Would definitely repeat, especially the happy hour menu. Entrance through the hotel lobby. Use the hotel parking where you can register in the hotel front desk without paying.

We decided to try the dine out experience at this place and it happened to be a live performance on that night. It was definitely an EXPERIENCE! I believe the band was called The Coco Project? The female lead was belting out vocals so effortlessly. We were mind blown. Awesome performance, good food, and good service. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO DINE IN WHEN THE BAND IS PLAYING!

Had the pleasure of taking my parents here to celebrate mum's birthday tonight and we had a lovely dinner. Parking was easy and since it was underground and had direct walking access from parking to the Wild Fig Restaurant we didn't have to walk out in the cold. You write your license plate down at the front desk inside and can park for free when dining at the restaurant. The seating environment was grand and peaceful and we were seated by the fireplace. We were served by a very kind and thoughtful gentleman named Isham, who also prepared our fruity and delicious mocktails! We learned also that we had visited after a two year closure and recent reopening just on December 1 with a new chef, Paolo, and an updated menu. We had been here before and enjoyed the food, service, and seating environment and can say we left happy once again! I particularly enjoyed the tasty beets in my colourful 'wild fig salad', and the aromatically roasted brussel sprouts and creamy mashed potatoes in my lamb shank. The shoestring fries were also a big hit with both me and the parents and were fried to perfection. The curb to a French fry craving we needed! Thank you to the staff who wished mum a happy birthday, prepared a little birthday dessert and sang to her with enthusiasm as well! I captured a beautiful moment of her big surprised smile for years to cherish but to her wishes agreed to blur out her face in the photo to respect her privacy 🤗. Thanks Wild Fig and those who helped make tonight a special birthday for mum and an enjoyable evening for us. 💕

my family and I ate here because we were staying at the executive plaza hotel. we arrived at 8:15 and were informed they were closing at 8:30 but the chef said we could come in, so we did. our waitress was very nice. I ordered the calamari for an appy and it was the best I've ever had. my brother and I had the chicken cordon with veg and potatoes, it was pretty good. my dad had a steak and he said it had no flavor and my mom ordered the ribs (that she didn't eat) and she said they were bland and cold. the waitress took my mom's meal off the bill which was nice. for the food being so expensive, I don't think the quality was there. giving 2 stars because of the tasty calamari and the waitress being nice. wouldn't eat here again though

After many months of staying at home…at the wild fig right now attending an event. JENNIFER our server was awesome!!! So friendly and efficient, did not forget about us even when it got busy!!! Listening to live band (they are great by the way “the executive5”) and we were reminded to wear masks while dancing and mingling. Vaccine card check at entrance. Overall an excellent experience.

Used to come here on weekends before the pandemic. Missed it a lot during the period when they were closed. This morning I made a reservation for their valentine’s special, then got a call from Linda in the afternoon asking if we would want to pre-order what we like from the menu. This is really impressive and showing how much they care and how well they are organized. Must give them five stars just for the service!!

My friends and I had made an 8:30pm reservation on Monday to try their dine out menu, upon arriving we had found out the restaurant was closed and the online booking system had made an error. Jennifer was quick to find a solution that enabled both the kitchen staff and guests enjoy their night. Although they were closed she still took our party in and placed our orders, never rushed us and always checked on us to ensure we were having a good time. Jennifer was extremely kind and made sure we had what we needed, she even explained their drink specials thoroughly and answered all our questions. Not once did we feel rushed or unwelcome, Jennifer even offered to take our group photos and for that she really turned a possible catastrophe into something wonderful. Would definitely recommend Jennifer as your server as she really cares about her guests. Thank you Jennifer and team for taking us in and making our night special, will definitely be back!

My partner and I came here for dinner 2 weeks ago. It was one of the only spots nearby that offered $1 oysters for happy hour. We got there right before it ended and were able to order the oysters. The service was very good and staff were lovely but there were only 3 of them and it was extremely slow. We were there for almost 3 hours. Food was good, not the best but I would definitely come back and give this spot another try.
