any place that serves non greasy fish and chips is a winner. the clover family does it right. great stuff. hi marnie! miss you. ππππππππ
Definitely can't go wrong with endless fish, chips and pop for only $11.99! I also recommend a side order of their fried prawns, for $2.99 again you can't go wrong and I remember there being at least 6 large pieces. This place really takes care of its customers, and you can tell by the taste of the oil they fry the fish in, it's definitely fresh oil and they do a fine job frying it, the batter is nice and light and very crispy. The initial plate comes with around 5-6 pieces of the fish and fries which might be good for some people already. The servers are very nice and always asks if you need anything else. If you don't bring a large appetite, that's okay too as they have a different special each day of the week, very reasonably priced.
Don't get rude about the extra tartar sauce. Don't you guys be so rude about a little extra tartar sauce after I've dropped $60 on halibut please lol.. come on... not to mention it should get drained a bit more so there's not a big bite of GREASE... stay on your game and you're doing a good job. I wouldn't recommend any other fish but the halibut... the cod was pretty gross/fishy and the value is more on the halibut, especially if they offer coupons (they barely do any longer). Also, do not skimp so much on the take-out fries please!!
The AYCE is a great deal and comes with free refills of pop. I really like the fish, the batter is really light and the fish is moist and juicy.
Staff was friendly and happy to see me despite coming in close to closing. The fish was well battered and crispy. I found the shrimp overcooked but liked the hit of dill in thei tartar sauce.
Great place for fish and chips or even chicken and chips. Best fries and breading on the fish/chicken around the area.
Go for AYCE. The AYCE is great here and includes pop/tea or coffee. You can order just fish without fries and have plate after plate. The fish served at AYCE are smaller, thinner pieces than if you ordered off the menu, but they are cooked fresh and come to you piping hot. Tartar sauce here is also quite tasty and servers are pleasant.
While shopping in Coquitlam, I took advantage of the trip and went for something "different" which ended up being fish and chip at C-Lovers.
