Review Joey Coquitlam - Coquitlam

Luan Reisdoerfer Cardoso
That was our first time at Joeys Coquitlam. I chose it to celebrate my birthday party with friends. Everything went smooth and Riley was the best, making our night amazing! He brought the most impressive birthday dessert I've ever received and rates amazing. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone at my party had everything they needed. The only thing I have to point out is that the dishes are quite small for their price when compared to similar restaurants. I've ordered a delicious T-bone (picture) for $52. Otherwise, nothing to say. We're most certainly come back in the future!

Service was outstanding, nice and friendly. Brought water to the table without asking, informed us on the most popular things on the menu and made sure to tell us about happy hour deals. Our server enjoyed chit chatting and making us feel comfortable as our food came. Food was fresh, delicious, and hot. Crispy Chicken burger and chili chicken was 10/10 ( best fries iv ever eaten from a bar/pub)

Our waitress was wonderful. She was very helpful and super nice. Food taste delicious. Ribs were warm when came out. Prawn and lobster ravioli tasted amazing. Apple pie was to die for. Crust so crispy and the filling had lots of flavour. This is my first time at Joey Coquitlam and the best tasting Joey I have been so far.

Went here for father's day lunch. The server was very kind and attentive. But more importantly, my dad really enjoyed himself here with the 14oz NY strip + beer. He rarely says this but said he would go here again.

Came in for a snack and a couple of drinks to finish off the Canada long weekend. Most of the food here is pretty good (4 stars and up) but it's the service that is outstanding! The dayshift manager was friendly, professional and made me feel welcomed right away. My server, Marley T, had a friendly personality, positive and social which definitely made the whole dining experience exceptional! Attentive with a sense of humor, she is probably one of the best server and I dine out a lot. Notes: Yam fries I prefer a lil bit crisper but still tasted good so I did not send it back. The Moscow Mule.. is not a Moscow Mule.. Tasted like a Citrus Soda with a slight ginger kick. Should name it "Twisted Moscow Mule" would love a classic Moscow Mule though. Bellini is amazing I don't mind the brain freeze

Always had wonderful experience at Joey's but not today. We both ordered the steak and ravioli for the first time and they looked good when they arrived...although I didnt expect the steaks to be sliced in the kitchen. But it seems that they never rested the steaks before serving. All the juices fromthe meat came out and now the steak and ravioli are swimming in water. The ravioli sauce became watery and the steaks were dry. So I asked for some sauce (peppercorn sauce) and got a small servinb for each us. When we got the bill, the 2 tiny servings of sauce were $4.50 each. Wow! A heads up when we asked for the sauce would have been nice. The place has nice ambience and good service but the food quality was lacking. The steaks were dry and bland. And the pool of juice in the middle of the plate was an amateur move. Disappointed.

Good quality food, steak was on point with the sauce, loved it. But my mom has ordered a medium but had gotten a medium rare. Either miscommunication or undercooked.

Great experience here! Still one the best spots for not only top-notch food and drinks, but also for the great atmosphere and the excellent service. Nothing beats a Super Sonic Gin & Tonic on a hot day! Josh was very friendly and accommodating to my requests. He even packed a complimentary dessert for me to-go when he knew I was in a rush to leave for my movie and wouldn't have enough time to enjoy it. Have visited twice in the past 2 weeks and will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

We celebrated our anniversary at Joey's Coquitlam and had wonderful appy, meals, drinks and desert. Our server, Nicole was fantastic and brought us mini bellinis as a treat! Thanks Nicole!!!! The calamari is to die for....crunchy with just enough chew. Perfection! The lobster ravioli was delicious and my 500 salad was amazing! Finished it off with a molten lava chocolate soufflé. Perfection on a plate! Afterwards the bar mgr, Lindsay, came by to chat. Overall a great taste and service experience. Thank you Joey's Coquitlam.

I have been coming up to Vancouver every year for Christmas for the past 5 years. And my final night dinner is always at Joey's Coquitlam. 5 years going they have never once let me down. I have also been to 1 or 2 of their other locations and same thing. The food is always excellent ( 5 stars ) and the service is tip top. I would recommend Joey's to anyone who has the chance to go there. Great food, excellent staff and just a nice overall atmosphere.

Just had the best experience with Joey's Coquitlam with my husband! Lexie was our server, and Matt came and chatted with us for a bit, and honestly it's been a long time since I've been to a restaurant that gave that much care and attention to us. This meal made my swanky Vancouver birthday dinner look like garbage! Very pleased. Joey's Coquitlam took a really bad day of mine, and finished it with something wonderful, and lovely, so I thank them greatly for that! Highly recommend.

Both our meals were delicious! Started with the Tandoori Flat Bread....soooo good. I had the ravioli that was in some kind of creamy lobster sauce with prawns...was awesome, and my boyfriend had a peppercorn steak, which he loved. The chocolate lava cake was amazing too. My only criticism would be that the portion of my pasta was quite small. That being said, best meal we've had in quite a long time.

Amazing experience! We came to celebrate 60th Birthday for my neihgbor. Everything from booking the table to leaving the restaurant was impressive! We were wowed by the staff yelling Happy Birthday Maria as soon as we walked in. The requested table reserved in a semi-private area was perfect. I love the little sign on our table “Happy 60th Birthday Maria”. Following with a complimentary champagne. Wow! The staff was very nice and friendly, the food was amazing and not to mention another complimentary drink and a cake for the birthday girl. I definitely recommend ! Thank you for everything

JOEY Coquitlam is the best! Impeccable service, great atmosphere, and delicious food. Never disappoints. On March 9, we had a large party of 30 people and our service was phenomenal. I was a bit nervous due to group size, especially with most guests mingling and moving around for a large portion of the evening (semi-private lounge). The managers and servers worked around us seamlessly, food/drinks arrived in a timely manner, and everyone was so helpful. Extremely impressed. Also, Sian (Manager of Events) was excellent during the planning process, answering all questions, working out the details, and assisting where needed. You guys made that night stress free so everyone could simply enjoy. So efficient! Highly recommend!

Ariana our server was AWESOME! We typically start off with the Mushroom Soup which is surpassing excellent, my mum who doesn't eat that much remarks that it's a meal in itself, and ... yeah. Dad had the ribs, she had the hand-pressed burger which she really enjoyed, and I had the Butcher's Sandwich with Onion Rings. I frequently also indulge in the Rainbow Roll (Sushi), but ... one has to make difficult choices, because everything is just so delicious! If I had one complaint, it would be that the sound levels are a bit too high for my mum, who has hearing aids, and so I could wish it was a bit quieter, even in the secluded dining area, but ... absolutely our Go To place for so many reasons!

Horrible service. I ordered a steak, and it was very thin -like your average steak with beer at a pub night. I ate it and didn't bother complaining. The manager came to the table to collect the payment, and while I was running the card through the machine, she asked me how my meal was. I replied honestly and said " it wasn't anything special, I ordered the steak and it was thin and tasteless like a $14.99 pub steak with a beer". She replied, "normally I would welcome you back but I feel that this isn't the right place for you", right after I paid the bill with the tip. I was appalled. I will never go back there. A bad steak can be forgiven, but unbelievable rudeness will not.

We were yesterday my husband and myself to celebrate Christmas Eve. The service was really really good, the server was really nice. The food was amazing mis tacos were yumieeeeee, I ❤fish tacos they are the best. My husband got a hamburger and it was really tasty. I really like this place. Happy Hollidays everyone 🎅🏻🎅🏻☃☃☃

It's a beautiful restaurant with good ambiance & great food. Service is great. Been there few times... always good. I just wish they could add few more dishes to the menu

Just would have loved our server to pay more attention to us. When your drink order is finally taken as your entree arrives and you don’t get your drink for some time until after you’ve finished eating, it’s disappointing.

Amazing food!!! Great service! Thank you for always being awesome and exceeding our expectations every time Thabk you Nicole and Georgia for making our evening very special tonight

I've always liked Joey's but a little disappointed during this visit. I'm a Celiac and ordered the GF Butter Chicken which was more like Butter Vegetables. I think I found 4 or 5 tiny pieces of chicken in my meal. What the heck, no GF beer either!
Ranee Rebecca Bernstein
The level of service was outstanding as we sat down within seconds of walking in to the resturant. The food was truly outstanding coupled by the level of service was amazing. Coquitlam is my favorite Joeys location.
Shannon Rusnick
I have to admit, these days you don’t expect too much from a restaurant so you aren’t disappointed....but this place was actually exceptional tonight! I can’t remember the last time I was somewhere that had such great service and attention to detail from their servers. They were so polite and professional - it was a very pleasant surprise to see there are still places like this around.
Josh Rockwell
It was a pretty good restraunt. The biggers may be a little to big even by a human standards, but they taste really good. I highly recommend it.
Lisa Marie
It was my first time ever at a Joeys. We went for my work Christmas party. The menu was very limited, It was so overpriced and mine and my fiancés meal was over salted! Very disappointed. I would personally never chose to eat here again.

Had a great family birthday lunch. Server was great, food was delicious

• belongs to chain restaurants
• food is good, getting pricier as inflation happens
• its a good place for meeting someone, drinks with friends
• appies were good, nicely plated
• the service was just ok last time I went here, not the best that I experienced
Shannon Blanchard
My husband and I have gone to Joeys regularly for years. we recently went with a large group for a Christmas party. Each time we go to Joey's, we order filet mignon with the mushroom jus. When my steak arrived it was half the size it should have been, 4 oz tops. I sent it back, the manager came back insisting it was 7 oz. Pointing to the gentleman next to me who ordered a New York steak, telling me not to expect my steak to be the size of the New York steak. The manager was politely insulting. Treated me like a moron. I precook my meals each week, measuring out my protein portions, I know what 7 oz looks like. WE WON'T BE BACK!
Foods, desserts, ambiance, services, prices and everything are reasonably good (in all branches I have already tried: Burrard, Cuquitlam, and Burnaby). If you are happy with Other franchised restaurant like The Keg, Earl, Cactus club, ..., You might like here as well.
Everything expectedly good though nothing is very special in all franchised restaurants!

This place was awesome. Free champagne will waiting. Great service. Great food had the butter chicken and they add a nice tough by inculding some veggies and sort of a rice pilaf. The chocolate molten cake was really good. I'd recommend this if anyone is traveling to Coquitlam or just lives in area and wants a nice place to dine!

Eating at Joey Coquitlam was like dipping into our retirement fund and getting enough food for 2 but ordering for 4. Four adults went to eat and no appetizers 4 entres, 2 beer, and one $12.00 glass (4oz) of wine. Total bill $156.23 Not only were the entres of modest quantity, the pasta entre of Raviolli contained only 14 modest size raviolli in dish. Filled 1/3 of bowl it was served in. It was so ridiculous we asked the waitress and she told us that is the number they put in bowl. Cost $23.50 although it was lobster ravioli (did not see any lobster cheese in Raviolli).

Excellent service, professional servers. Food tastes great and trendy. Nice Ambience also modern and well decorated restaurant. Little bit pricy side compared to portion of food. End up sent more money than I expected.
Carly
Horrible food and horrible service! Manager was told about the steaks we had ordered that we're ice cold and did nothing to the bill and seemed to shrug it off. The re make steaks were OK still not hot and my filet was full of tendons the manager then asked how it was and I said I couldn't eat the steak as I couldn't cut through it with the tendons he then asked "well was everything else ok?" I had to laugh because yes I guess the semi warm vegetables were decent I could of made better ones. Overall a very big disappointment. I even emailed to tell someone who Mayen cared about how horrible it was and no one would take accountability. I will not return.

Party of 9 for an Anniversary celebration

First Impression: I made reservations online and received a follow up call. The online reservation form asked for details of our party and if there was a special occasion and how they can make it special. The hostess, the General Manager and Rachael were super friendly and attentive.

What we ordered: Ahi Tuna Club, grilled rare, bacon, sweet pepper relish, onion rings, Steak and Sushi, Steak and Prawns, Filet Mignon, Bombay Butter Chicken, with aromatic almond basmati rice and grilled naan, Rainbow Roll, ahi tuna, salmon, crab, avocado Siracha aioli and Yam Fries.
Drinks: Super Sonic Gin and Tonic, Peach Bellinis, Cokes, Coffee from JJ Beans, Peppermint Teas,
For dessert: one of each Raspberry Chocolate Soufflé with Vanilla Ice Cream and Individually Baked Apple Pie, oat almond topping, Canadian Maple Ice Cream. The ice cream is spun daily, flash frozen with liquid nitrogen.

Everyone enjoyed what they ordered! I loved my Ahi Tuna Club. It was a perfect balance of flavours. The Ahi Tuna was grilled rare, the bacon was crisp and smoky, which complimented the sweet pepper relish and onion rings. It's my new fave! There are so many items on the menu that I want to eat! Definitely be back over and over and over again!

Service: Excellent, attentive, caring. Really made our 3rd anniversary special with a few special touches. Everyone was treated to complimentary frozen lemonades--so refreshing! Additionally for both John and I, a small bottle of champagne! Very impressive!

Ambiance: Vibrant and trendy! I was amazed at how big the restaurant was! I didn't realize till we were leaving how busy the restaurant had gotten because our big round table was on the quieter side of the restaurant.

Much better quality than we expected. We were pretty satisfied/impressed with the flavorful meals. Very busy on weekend. Had to wait about thirty minutes to get a table. Prices are a little much for what you get. $15 for one sushi roll?
Lex
Just an "ok" restaurant. The service was sub-par and the food was dece. I was not a huge fan of the calamari or the sauces that it came with. Also had a mojito and it was just plain bitter. I don't recommend.
Marv Wang
Have been here a couple times, and this time is during a dinner with a friend, and ordered, an appetizer and my friend ordered a steak i think, and yes, the price is definitely okay, and her steak, can't remember which one she ordered but it definitely tasted alright, the firmness the juiciness of medium rare is all correct. and the simple seasoning should all there is to it. overall it's decent place to go for, like all other joeys as well. decent but nothing that i crave much from the place. great service as well *thumbs up.

Food is fine. I went on a Weekend and had to wait. Three of us had come together. Told the hostess we need a table and are ok to wait. After waiting almost 40 minutes we were guided to the bar. We said we want a table but that's all we were given. Anyway, the food is fine. Tad expensive. I will not be coming back coz of the whole experience. they could do better.

Always a great spot for lunch or dinner. Good service and good food as well as a fun atmosphere. Love the sushi cone and lobster grilled cheese.
Alpaca Lunch
For starters, we ordered the yam fries and ahi tuna tacos to share. For the entree, Mamallama, Baby-Paca and I ended up ordering the steak frites, my older sister got the lobster and prawn ravioli. The yam fries came sprinkled with grated Grana Padano (a cheese that tasted like parmesan) and were delicious with the aioli that it came with. The slight tang from the lemon made the aioli less heavy than other mayonnaise-based sauces. I love the decadent earthy aroma of truffles. Truffles just makes (almost) everything taste better. For the tuna tacos, the seared rare ahi tuna was served on a flat little deep fried tortilla with coleslaw, and a light wasabi aioli. The shell was crisp without being oily or greasy and it was nicely salted. The tuna was complimented well by the coleslaw, which had an acidic ginger dressing. You could tell that the vegetables in the coleslaw were fresh as the sweetness in the cabbage comes through. The only downside is that the aioli didn’t have that kick you’d expect from the wasabi. It only tasted faintly of wasabi, it wasn’t spicy at all. Eating it was also a little messy because the taco shell was piled pretty high with coleslaw and the shell crumbles on you. As for our steak frites, the CAB prime sirloin was topped with parsley butter, with a side of rocket greens and fries. Baby-Paca and I added blue cheese butter on the side (additional $3 each) as the flavor of the parsey butter is kind of mild and lacked a bit of sodium, we preferred something stronger with more richness. The steak came like we ordered it, medium rare. It was juicy and pink on the inside, but it was still a little chewy. Prime sirloins are known for being the most flavourful cut of meat, but it is also not the most tender cut of meat. The steaks were considerably small (5oz) compared to the steaks we’re used to seeing, but honestly, for $20 it’s still a good deal and the portion on our plates were definitely enough to fill us up. The rocket greens (arugula) were wilted by the balsamic dressing and had a shiny sheen to it that put me off slightly, but it was tasty without that bitterness that usually accompanies arugula. They were also super generous with the fries, which I enjoyed. Some people may prefer them more crispy, but I like the mushy kind of fries (they were kind of like Mc Donald’s mushy fries but less salty).
Rory Barr
Food was very good but the prices are high. The restaurant tends to be very busy on Friday/Saturday so you are often seated in the bar. I found the interior space to be very loud, to the point of having difficulty carrying a conversation.
Johnchwy
BBQ Ribs. The portions they give you for this meal(plus no toast) is small compared to Boston Pizza or The Keg, as well almost 25% more pricey than the other two restaurants, plus you get a garlic toast or bread to go with your meal. So unless you want to try it out, my suggestion is to go to the other two.

Just Good. This was a nice place, menu didn't have anything fancy - pretty common. Not a fan of the entrees but loved the appetizers. Lettuce wraps and ahi tuna tacos are a must have here, I also enjoyed the beach salad. The drinks are amazing and I liked the atmosphere, very cozy. Will definitely come back for drinks and appies
Ladybug
The food and service was pretty good. I think I would go back.

I have been back and the food is still really good. They have a fusion menu right now. I had the steak and sushi and really enjoyed it.
Tim AY
Consistsntly good food and excellent service from the top down. Cant go wrong with joeys ever.
OvO
Joeys. Crispy mash and Bellinis are a definite must here. Steak, butter chicken and flatbread is also pretty decent.

My wife and I went one night to Joey coquitlam, my wife ordered a pasta dish with a side order of prawns, they came completely RAW! They comp'd us for the prawns but still charged us for the pasta, then the manager on duty came over and fed my wife a bunch of crap about how she wants our number so that we can come back and have a meal on the house, its been 2 months and we still haven't heard anything...we're not holding our breath on hearing anything from them lol, but won't be going back,

Good good good. I went there for the first time and we got GREAT SERVICE! It was quick and friendly. I ordered the Lobster grill cheese which was very good but nothing that special. My boyfriend ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and that was SO good. It was almost a clear sauce but delicious in flavor!!! I I also ordered a tempura roll thing just one and it was decent. The soup on special Moroccan chicken was decent I wouldnt order it again

Excellent Services, Terrible Soup. Went there for lunch on Wednesday w. colleagues.

I ordered a Mushroom Cheddar Burger w. their Moroccan Chicken Soup (the only soup they have for the day). One of my colleagues ordered Lobster Grilled Cheese Sandwich, also w. the Soup. So funny that her soup was very different from mine (hers was with more chicken, less spicy, less color....)

I have to say that my soup was really terrible - extremely greasy and salty, very spicy you could see a thick, orange colored layer of oil on top of the soup. It looked like a bowl of 'sauce' than 'soup'! I could only 'sip' about 1/4 of it and had to stop. So disappointed! I had not filed any complaint though because I did not want to ruin the overall atmosphere of this lunch gathering.

The Burger was good. Overall service was excellent!

Felt really thirsty afterwards.

May still go again to try something else, but for sure, I will stay away from their yucky soup!
Sammy
Subpar food. Overpriced drinks. Good service. Haven't been to this location for a little over a year. No wonder. In fact, I'm done eating at Joey's period. It used to be good a couple of years ago, and earlier. But no more. Just like Earls, the food has become bland, boring, and just plain subpar. Our entire table was disappointed with our food last week. None of the dishes were prepared properly. Bland tasteless burgers, that were basically beef taken from the package and thrown onto the GRIDDLE...not a Grill! Why aren't they grilled like everywhere else? Burger patty had no seasoning whatsoever, and was overcooked to the point where it was dry with black crusts. Sucked! And do away with the poppy seed buns already. STUPID idea. I'm sorry, but if burgers at any local pub are way better than Joey's, then something is definitely wrong here. How can you f*** up a burger?

The only good thing was that the service was good. This location needs some serious renovations to the bathrooms. Sinks from the 1980's. The entire atmosphere of the dining area, is pretty average at best. Every Canadian based chain, is usually quite a disappointment. Joey's doesn't change that.

Service was fantastic! Food cooked to perfection. Blue cheese butter flavorful without being overly strong. Prices comparable to other restaurants in this category, but food and service make it good value. Will be back!

Joey's Trip. Went with 4 friends from the UK and were escorted to our seats by 3 Canadian beauties. Nadine (be still my heart) our server (with a Northern Territory goddess's physique) proved herself attentive, deliciously flirtatious, and empathetic to our seemingly never-ending orders of rum and coke high-balls.

The decor reminds me of an updated version of a hip retro-70s Vegas casino.
Service was great. Men must love this place because all the waitresses wear short black dresses and heels. Quite different from U.S. waitstaff.

Next time I'm in Coquitlam, I'll be back for more high-balls and touchy-feely antics. And maybe tequila body shots off of 6 star tattooed, Nadine.

Excellent!. Joey coquitlam has amazing desserts!! My favorite is molten lava cake. I often visit just for the dessert. yummy.
Brian
Didn't like it. The food was ok. Regular price. Menu is really small, not many choices. Small portions. No non alcoholic drinks on menu. Not even coffee. No sugar at table for coffee. But mainly very little choice of food and dessert. Will not go back. Service was good and was seated quickly

Great food but a bit of a wait. My husband called and requested a reservation for same night dining which the restaurant confirmed and issued a time. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time and were told that it was actually a "call ahead" and not a reservation and that there could be a wait of up to 30 minutes (even though there were plenty of empty tables and no lineup??). I questioned why we were told to be there at a specific time then if we were in the que for a table instead of having a reservation as the person on the phone told us we had. The staff could see that we were a little frustrated so they decided to seat us right away after all (imagine that?).

Once we got past the whole "reservation" vs "call ahead" issue the evening got better. There was a wait for drinks and the entrees due to a large group ordering ahead of us but the servers were really great at keeping us informed on why it was taking so long. The chef even brought out one of the dishes due to the wait time on the food.

The food quality was fabulous! I think it's one of the better meals I've had out in a very long time. Had we not experienced the slight frustration upon arrival the restaurant would have received a perfect review.

Joey coquitlam. Came here for late night drinks and appies. first time back since the name change so it has been a long time. then again, i'm not sure when the name change took place lol.
this time around, i was really impressed with the service, atmosphere, and presentation of the food. we just had the seared tuna salad and a baked pizza-ish foccacia with olives, some kinda sliced cured meat, and arugula on top. a+ for presentation. can't say the same for the taste. salad had wayway too many ingredients in it (mixed greens, 3 sauces, tuna, peanuts, mango, mint, crispy noodles, avocado, tomato, carrot, the list goes on and on). dressing was kinda bland but the ingredients were super fresh so we still really enjoyed it. pizza part of the foccacia was crispy, cheesy, and delicious. however, the sliced meat was soooo gamey (gross) and olives were soooo salty. drinks were nice and strong.
must recommend the service again. our server had good suggestions, great timing for drink refills and was genuinely cheerful.
great place for date night or get together with friends
would like to come back and try other things on their menu
one thing i don't like is how it is so obvious that they hire based on physical appearances (men and women). shame on you!
Vancity Chick
Love it! Food was very tasty and well priced. Decor and atmosphere is really nice. Waitress did a good job and didnt have to wait to long for the food. Overall a good meal!
Adam
Loves it. Service is excellent. Food is fantastic. My faves: Butter Chicken, Burgers soooooo good with Mushrooms and Cheddar and the Lobster Ravioli. Basa awesome as well. Im really impressed with the quality of the food. Have been many times and consistency is there as well. Enjoy!

Best in Class. Great food. Great chefs. Its a good sign when you look around at the kitchen staff and they are clean organized and professional. This company is one of the top 100 places to work in Canada due to thier commitment to training. Joeys is pumping out Red Seal chefs which is more that any other "chain" can say. I'd rather a chef or cook who wants a career in culinary preparing my food over some 18yr high school student who doesn't care at all about food hitting my table. keep up the Great work Joey.
Kelso
Busy at times, but nice patio!. It can be hit and miss, but overall a great choice in the area. The patio is great!

Make sure you sub your side for the crispy mash.
Spoonmaster
Lousy. Like the locations in Bentall and Burrad....subpar all the way.

One of my all time favorites. Always good service, very dependable food. We always order the same things, pesto flat bread, tuna club and apple pie. Portions are decent and we always leave happy.
Bryan Mark
Very nice!. Finally went to Joeys after wanting to for quite a while. Was very impressed with the restaurant on all fronts - building etc. was very nicely decorated, servers very easy on the eyes and the food was excellent. I had the california chicken club and it was fantastic! Definitely will be coming here again for more than just the food! ;)
Jade
This place is not clean!. I was waiting to place my drink order when I saw one of the servers fishing out ice cubes with her fingers and putting them in water glasses!!! She then came to my table and set one down in front of me. I told her I would not eat here ever again and told her why. She didn't seem to think that using her nasty fingers to fish out ice cubes was a problem. Gross!!!!! Imagine what goes on in the kitchen! I will never eat or drink here again!
Steve
Eye candy place that's not really a place for kids, I guess they dress that way so u spend more money. Food was typical north American
Vbaker
Skinny fries. Love the bowl of skinny fries you can get a side, hope they never get rid of them.

Sexy atmosphere and ladies - wear sunglases. Well, if you're feeling sexy you can get yourself down to the Joey (the sort of place free love originates - come on, food, drinks, young servers in short skirts and heels) to chug on your wine next to sexy waitresses. As we all like to do from time to time. this is great food at even greater prices. Their simple main meals will set you back much less than similar rdtaurants, with a choice of steak, soups, salads, drinks and so on,
Just wear sungl;asses coz even if the lady I was with was flaunting the eyes will wander

Always Good. One of my favorite places to go! Excellent food and drinks. Great ambiance as well! What else can you ask for?
Fatt C
Great food great service! Had awesome time. We had kids with us andvthey tailored the menu to help accommodate us. Had Marco as our server and was great. Repeat is must
Bachelor Pad
Truly excellent. Joey's offers steaks and Oriental food, including salads, hot food including tempura, and an assortment of salads. The restaurant apparently caters more to the local crowd than visitors. It suited us just fine. The selection is fairly broad.
The atmosphere is upscale casual and the young lusty ladies in short skirts make me tip a good 20% easy each time. I agree that a bunch of jock sockets visit here but who cares? they can't tip as much as I do so I get all the attention and I can put together a sentence. This restaurant is truly excellent.

Cool place to hang out.. Cool Restaurant!

Get the Apple Pie. I haven't been to Joey's in a couple of years, but back then the ahi tuna taco appetizer and the freshly baked apple pie for dessert were worth the visit alone. The Coquitlam location looks nondescript and kind of shady, but inside there is a nice modern decor, comfy chairs, and, oh, those tacos. One of the best, most accessible, Asian-Fusion places.
Kosherish Dave
Eye Candy. More for the eye than the palette. If looking at provocative very young, pretty girls in heels is more important than the food then this is your place. The food can be tasty and creative. My biggest beef (weak pun warning) is that there seems to be extreme protein rationing. Very difficult to get a satisfying meal without carbing up.
Matt T
Great just great, best in the area I would say
EverydayShopper
A great standard !. Went in for a late afternoon lunch. Got the calamari, it was alright. More batter than squid. Beef Dip was my main, I had it the last time and I really liked it. Lots of thinly sliced beef, lots of gravy, comes with horseradish mayo and shoe string fries. Couldn't leave without having their bellinis. Great lunch!

Great menu.... Just stopped in for lunch, the menu is pretty much the same for both lunch and dinner. We both agree, don't think there is anything bad on the menu. Always consistent. Only down side is the wait time around dinnertime.

Didnt know they are this good. What a great place! I can't write enough good things about the food, the service, the atmosphere - the ladies. The concept is fabulous. I took a lady friend several times and we are never disappointed. This is a great place to also bring friends from out of town. You're always sure to strike up a conversation with others at the bar or patio or restaurant.
It's hard to decide what to order because everything is so good. I love the way the menu changes with what's fresh and in season. I ask the girls politely because my girlfriend might ask questions. This area had been starving for this restaurant and now everyone knows how great it is. Almost as good as the cactus Club girls but not bad by any means.

Joeys' is a typical dark restaurant with loud music and girls (usually attractive) in black short dresses as your servers. I only come here for late nights or when I crave for the sashimi tuna salad and apple pie. I would prefer lunch over dinner since I am limited to enjoying only a couple of dishes here.

Surprisingly, there was no avocado here, but instead aged cheddar, smoky bacon, and spicy mayo on a Portuguese bun.

For my meal I ordered the ahi tuna club. This is my favourite item at Joey and something I have had on a few different occasions. The sandwich is made with a thick slab of grilled rare tuna. The tuna is really meaty and it makes a great protein for the sandwich because it is so tender. It is also filled with thick cut crispy bacon and panko breaded onion rings. Both of these items add a nice crunch to the sandwich. Onion rings on anything automatically make it good. I like that the sandwich is filled with arugula instead of just lettuce. Sandwic

We just can't stop ourselves from ordering the Sushi Cones when we go to a Joey restaurant. These are so much easier to eat than the Japanese ones made with nori.

The Joey chain of restaurants is one that most people around my age thought was super-cool at one time, an impression probably rooted in their locations’ cool modern interiors and food that is more polished than your average Earls or White Spot. I’m sure we’ve all been to our share of high-school “please-dress-nice” birthday parties at a restaurant just like this. I don’t visit Joeys much anymore; I feel like I can find many restaurants at the same price point with better food and more personality. What’s weird is that the branding of the chain has changed pretty frequently, from the somewhat “family restaurant”-feeling Joey Tomato’s, to Earls-soundalike Joey’s, to the minimalist JOEY.

Although not the first choice of the day, my friend wanted to try out Joey's, and luckily I've been wanting to try it for a while now too. I'm a bit confused though, did Joey Tomato's turn into just Joey, and open up a bunch more locations? I know the Coquitlam location used to be called Joey Tomato's and I went there back in highschool or early university, and when I got there today, there was still a door labelled Joey Tomato's Head Office or something. Anyway, if you've been there before, the outside doesn't look like a restaurant at all, inside is a totally different story, looks pretty nice, but still the same overall atmosphere that I remember from years ago. Maybe it's the dimness. Going in, it took me a while to figure out what to order because nothing really appealed to me that much. The waiter said he can bring a taste of an appy if we want to try things. My friend wanted to try the Ahi Tuna Tacos, but didn't want to order it because I

I had the Burger pictured above, but subbed the skinny fries for a caesar salad instead which came first as an appy. I did steal some of my buddy's skinny fries though. The Caesar Salad was a great start. As usual, I requested for extra cheese and sauce.
