Spent 6 days in Parksville at a resort just around the corner from the log store and disappointed in myself for only eating there once. My son and I had side ribs, pulled pork sandwich and the sausages wrapped in bacon and it was the best bbq I've spent money on that didn't come from Prairie Smoke and Spice in SK. The pulled pork sandwich we used their vinegar based sauce and it blended perfectly with the smokey pulled pork and the ribs we used their Texas bbq sauce and it worked great. The true champion was the sausage wrapped in bacon, we originally ordered 1 each but had to go back for seconds they were so good. You can tell from talking to the owners that they do bbq right and for the right reasons.

Stopped by at the suggestion of a buddy who lives in the area. I wasn't disappointed. I had the bbq pork brisket sandwich with a side of coleslaw. Very tasty and quite a few sauces for me to add. I had the Alabama sweet chili sauce. Excellent!! I have one more day left in the area. I'll be back for lunch tomorrow.

This was the second time I have tried them. Last time I had the pulled pork and thoroughly enjoyed it. This time I tried the brisket, which was excellent, and a recent addition to the menu... a lamb chop. The chop was amazing! It was so tender I didn't need a knife, the meat just fell off the bone. I would have had 2 but they had only 1 left. Found out that you can call ahead and they will hold your order. Oh yeah, they are great people too.

Very quick and easy to get your food. The brisket sandwich was $14 and does not come with a side. I would say the amount of sauce is scant for the sandwich, next time I would ask for two. $33 for two people to eat and it was *just* enough. The meat was very tasty and the bun was fresh. The potato salad was creamy and had pickles! My fave. I would go back and try the pulled pork next time.

The best smoked beef brisket and beanless chili around. Food has great flavour and is fairly priced. The only downside is there is no shaded tables or chairs to eat at. Won't be disappointed.

I have mixed feelings about this place but am giving them the benefit of the doubt. I usually judge bbq on their brisket. It should have great bark, be moist, flavorful and the fat should be melt-y not chewy. The bark isn't very flavorful, it's not that moist and the fat is chewy. But! The rest of the stuff they have is great. I'll try the brisket again soon, maybe it was just one off day.
