Superb food. Have had take out at least a dozen times and the food has always been exceptional. Coconut Naan and an paneer always meet the mark. The fish curry is also brilliant. Based on food alone, Spice Hut Comox comes with a high recommendation.
Delicious!! My partner and I love coming here for the fantastic curry dishes (the spice level can be customized to your preference) and the AMAZING garlic naan that we can never get enough of. It's become comfort food for us, and it's reasonably priced with generous portions. The Comox location is cute and intimate, with friendly staff and short wait times. They're also open late, which is rare for the Valley! Love it! 👍

This restaurant has a nice view and a Flowering tree just outside the front window. Our server was very friendly and outgoing, and helped us choose our dishes since we aren't very familiar with Indian food. We chose this restaurant because they label Gluten-free and lactose-free dishes on their menu.
We ordered a 'hot' (Very spicy) karahi chicken (tomato and peppers) and a 'medium' (still quite spicy) Palak chicken (spinach). Be warned, 'hot' is a tongue-burning, tear-inducing level of spiciness, but I found that unlike my last experience at an Indian restaurant, my tongue could recover a bit between bites with adequate water (our server kept me well-supplied). The medium is still satisfyingly spicy but didn't slow me down as much between bites.
What I enjoyed about the Karahi is that the flavour still shone through the spiciness - the peppers and tomato were excellent.
Since we're dairy-sensitive, the chef reduced the cream on the Palak, but the coconut milk was creamy enough, and tasted good.
In both dishes, they did not skimp on the chicken - there was a perfect balance between meat and veggies and sauce. The portions were generous and we left very satisfied.
Food was delicious and hot and was big portions. Was ready for pick up when they said it was. Definitely will be eating take out from here again
Got take out lunch tandoori prawns and tandoori chicken both were very good they come with rice and salad. The salad comes with Italian dressing I thought this was an Indian restaurant. Don't Indians have a dressing of their own? We also got garlic Naan which was very under cooked . I think we will try the food again and hope it is good.
Really enjoyed my chicken masala. Friendly staff. Great naan bread.
Spice hut not only has the best food but also the best most kind servers and take out girls ever!! It’s so sad to see someone make face accounts and make fake reviews. Such a waste of time. Those of you who have been to spice hut truly do know that the best people work there! They go above and beyond. Do not believe those nasty comments cause they are so far from the truth!!
Always a treat ordering from this restaurant. Very friendly staff, which work quickly to get you seated, or to give you your order. I live out of delivery range, but the drive into town is well worth it :)
