Review Tom's Asian Grill - Charlottetown

Came to try Tom's Asian Grill for the first time after my friend told me to try... I tried their Singaporean Fried Noodle which was full of curry flavour! The noodles were very tasty and os the cheapest asian restaurant with good food in the island. Highly recommend whoever is reading this to try!!

Very friendly and clean, the food was great. Highly recommend the Taiwanese fried chicken. It was very crispy and delicious!

Very good, authentic Asian food! I was very happy to find this cute little place in the heart of downtown Charlottetown. The owners were really sweet and attentive, very eager to make your experience here a satisfying one. I enjoyed my grilled pork shoulder over noodles so much that I returned the next day. The wood-year mushroom with peanuts appetizer was unique and delicious as well! This is the best Asian place I found in Charlottetown.

Friendly service and price are reasonable. It’s a great place to go!! We enjoy those Satay grill and Shrimp sticks. The wood-year mushroom with peanuts appetizer is tasty if you love spicy and chill flavor. 👍👍

A very good example to pay for FOOD you not EAT I shall be very honest , this will be my first ever negative review for any restaurant. I suggest this place to my work colleagues for our christmas lunch but this pick came out as terrible pick. We ordered everything on Chef recommendation Chicken Fried Noodle , Chicken Wings , Chicken Fried rice , some small bowl of noodles lacking characterstic with sesame seeds on top. Chicken was stale, tasted sour and dry but the reason given to us was due to sauce and vinegar which I sincerely doubt and suspect as I have had same dishe at other Chinese restaurants in downtown but they do not taste anywhere close to what we had. I give due credit to the lady (must be owner) very humble and also offered a free replacement meal which also didnt turn out to be good, was boiled salmon served on noodles with black pepper. Surprisingly, meal offered as free was charged. We ended up paying for meals we did not had. May be we were at wrong place at wrong time.

I don't usually give 5 stars, but this place was wonderful! It was quiet, quick service and the food was phenomenal! So delicious! It didn't show up on the map, and I was actually headed somewhere else but I'm glad I changed my mind and gave this place a try! I'm only in town for a week, but I'll be back here several times before I go!

Food is lacklustre and very NON-Asian. All the food was prepped hours before serving, including meats. Satay’s were dried and bland. Peanut sauce was bland using blanched tasteless nuts. Rice was over cooked. All sides, garnishes and appetizers are soaked in vinegar without any other seasoning. Who prepares wood ear with only vinegar? Tom’s does. Portions are not large are indicated by others. If a pending $12 on a plate of noodles or rice is your idea of value, then you don’t understand restaurants or food. Every aspect of the food was undeserving of all previous reviews as every dish was not executed well, small portion size, bland, prepared hours in advance and the pretentious menu descriptions are offensive when you finally get the fried and cold food. 2 stars for accommodating service and pleasant atmosphere. Don’t go for the food.

I have never sent food back before in my life, but after one bite of the pad thai I could not eat it. Don't get me wrong, I love a good pad thai, even a mediocre one would be fine. In response to this, the lady told me "well other people like it". We still had to pay for it. Will not be back.
