Review Mr. Sushi - Charlottetown

My go to sushi place. Not the best but can satisfy cravings. Their soy really don’t taste light to me though. Their Tteok-bokki and kimchi soup aren’t my favorite. Just order sushi, rolls, maki, sashimi. They’re okay. 👍🏻

The best local Sushi spot downtown! Talented sushi chefs prepare your order fresh behind the counter while you enjoy the view of downtown streets from the large windows covering the front of the restaurant.

This place is absolutely horrible, It was 8:40pm and I came in to ask whether or not my family could dine-in and the lady ( waitress or boss) told me that we can with such a very rude attitude, I don't know why they treated me like that or it could be because tonight is a rainy day I looked soaking wet with a slipper on which doesn't look so high class that's probably why they don't want serve me equal as others. I normally do not write review on any restaurant and I could've let it slide but this restaurant's customer service is bad that makes me mad. They came over my table 3 times with intentions to ask us to leave because they're going to close soon, why are they allowed us to dine-in at 8:40 pm and expect us to leave at 9:20? They could've politely decline us for dine in the beginning instead try to sell their food and kick us asap??? Not just only that the way they put food on our table is seems like we begging them. Please do not come if you don't to ruin your dinner or date.

I don't usually post reviews but I felt compelled for this one. I've eaten a lot of ramen in my day and theirs is the worst I've ever had. They advertise three or four different ramens, I ordered the Tempura ramen. They served instant noodles, with broth made of instant noodle powder, with some tempura served on the side. They literally took two Spicy flavoured instant noodle packages, put tempura on top and served it. No home made broth, no home made noodles, they just Spicy flavored instant noodles served with tempura. It was awful. They should be ashamed for calling that Ramen.

Great service but the worst sushi I’ve ever had. Very small and tasteless rolls. Veggies inside were not fresh.

The sushi was delicious, however i diddnt have very good service at all. 2 of us got our food at the beggining, and the after an hour we got one other persons food, after another half hour we got another. And the last person at my table never even got her food. When we tried to ask where our food was, the waitress just walked away. It got to the point where after another 2 HOURS of waiting, we had to go to the front desk and ask for a discount, which they refused to do.

Very good sushi, miso soup, and Gyozza. The service was fast and efficient. Very good prices too.

Nice place. The service is super efficient. My food came within 5 minutes of ordering it and within 10 minutes of walking in... Albeit my order wasn't super complicated- all veg items, but still I was impressed. I started with miso soup. I was unsure what the circular floating bits were. The consistency was someone like a water soaked wafer. I asked what it was (just incase) and its dried tofu. New for me but I dig it! I got the Takagi as well, two prices. Pretty standard and not as sweet as some. I don't want it super sugary anyhow and enjoy the egg flavour. Some places go overboard board with the sweetener. Finally, I got the yam avacado dragon roll. It's good, filling. The end peices are two-biters which I'd rather avoid as it makes for awkward eating. I stuck to drinking water and it was topped up as I went which I always appreciate. So- all in all pretty decent sushi. Pretty mid level quality. I would rate it 5 stars, only I find the prices high for what it is. My bill was $24, have had very comparable meals for $15. I don't blame them- there isn't a lot of competition. If there was, you wouldn't see a $12 California roll.
