Review Lobster On The Wharf Restaurant - Charlottetown

This place is just wonderful especially on a bright sunny day. The patio is on the pier and you can over look the water while drinking an ice cold beer! I had the lobster and it was fantastic! The staff was so friendly and polite, I truly felt like a valued customer. There a wee bit of parking out on front. The deco of the place feels like a rustic and wooden cabin that's by the ocean. A magical atmosphere to say the least. Probably one of the best highlights in food on my first trip here. Stay safe out there people and be kind to one another!

First experience sitting down for a whole lobster, was very cool. A beautiful view on the deck of the big cruise ship in the port, and my partner and I watched it leave as we enjoyed our meal. A lobsterita and dark & stormy were our very tasty made drinks, and we had two 1lb lobster dinners each with a Caesar salad. Salad was a bit lacking but everything else made up for that. Staff was lovely as well :)

Excellent experience! I was easily able to make a reservation and when I arrived, I was quickly seated. It was raining a bit outside so I didn’t get a chance to sit on the patio, but I’d imagine it’d be really nice. Dave was our server and he was friendly. We ordered the clam chowder, crab dip, and lobster roll. The seafood was very fresh! I would have preferred the bread to be toasted a bit more for the lobster roll, though I’d still recommend regardless.

Words cannot convey how much we loved this restaurant. The staff were super hospitable, friendly, and knowledgeable about the Island. The food, an unforgettable experience. The lobster mac n cheese is heaven in a bowl. So, good we went for dinner on night 2 at the same restaurant! Enjoy this tourist season! Kudos to a great place to visit on PEI

Food was average, expensive. The chowder was decent enough for tourists. This is without doubt a tourist trap restaurant. I would not go into the boring details of the food, rice was inedible, vegetables were average, fries were from Costco, and the lobster was meh- but man did we have one heck of a server. She was awesome! Thank you! Four stars- because of her. For food: two is generous.

When we first arrived they asked us of we wanted inside or outside and went off to see if there was a spot on the deck and then sat us. The staff at the front was very friendly and helpful. The overall atmosphere was very quaint and seemed very clean. We ordered a couple drinks and then the food. We waited almost 35 minutes for the food to arrive. The lobster poutine was phenomenal and the cream sauce on it had a very interesting taste with a slight kick of spice. The chowder I personally wasn't a fan of for reasons I can't even put my finger on. The taste of the cream wasn't a taste I was a fan of and different then any other chowder if ever tasted. I had come because of seen a picture of the chowder in another review and there was big chunks of lobster in it (not sure if someone posted a wrong picture from another place) so i didn't look at the menu for what was in it but not one piece of lobster which to mea seafood chowder should have lobster.. Especially at a restaurant called lobster on the wharf. Overall it was a nice restaurant, great views, great staff.

It was our last stop for the day, dinner. We made a reservation for 20:00 thinking the place would be crowded, but it wasn’t, and even then the service was slow. At least the waiter was friendly. The restaurant itself is nicely located, right by the water, with big outdoor seating. We opted inside since it was a windy day. We ordered the lobster roll and steamed clams. The roll came with two sides, which were nice, but the roll itself was lacking lobster meat. Overall taste was just okay for the price. The clams were nice and plump, tho they were a little fishy.

Very good place for fresh seafood. Location is awesome, right beside the water. Very warm decoration and ambiance. Our waitress was kind and professional. Food was amazing, I recommend that place at 100%.

What a nice place! Eat inside, on the outdoor patio, or on the upper balcony. The patio and balcony overlook the harbor. A great view. The servers are very attentive and friendly. The owner helps with the everyday duties like busing tables and checking on guest's needs or wants. A down to Earth place. The food is fantastic.

Where do I begin? Well, in no particular order: • The staff is amazing and friendly. The manager, Jeremy, is exteremely professional and always working hard to make your dining experience the best it can be. • The food is always fresh and melt-in-your-mouth fantastic. • The beer and wine selection are both above par and always changing. • The view from the back is worth the 21hr drive from Windsor, ON (where my husband and I are currently living.) If you EVER get a chance to visit Charlottetown, PEI - LOTW is a must-visit. Do yourself a favour and experience this restaurant in all its East Coast glory.

Would not recommend this place far too expensive we wanted to go for lobster and the places we wanted to attend were not open for the season yet, service was only okay, location is great, portions were very small, Lobster dinner for 2 (that’s 2—2lb lobster) with side salads etc came to $240 no drinks, just water!!!

Amazing. Best lobster we've had in PEI & New Brunswick travels. The lobster roll was delicious; crab and lobster dip duo was rich and tasty. Our server Pat was great and the view from the back dining room is awesome. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Had a wonderful Sunday evening meal here. Good quality meal for 3 people each having large lobsters. Thank you to Clay, our waiter who we had a wonderful conversation with and we wish him the best of luck finishing his degree!

The place is extremely well located on the water and the food is very good so is the service but it is very expensive place for example 1.5 pound lobster for 45 dollars is way too much.

We were travelling the East Coast for our honeymoon and had heard Lobster on the Wharf was a great place to eat...unfortunately this was an extremely inaccurate statement!!! Our waitor completely ignored us. He would look in our direction and then just pass by our table entirely without a simple how is the food or may I get you some more to drink. He had no problem speaking to the other customers he was serving, however seemed annoyed by our presence there completely. We sat with dirty plates in front of us for almost 15 minutes, however he was able to remove 1 single plate from the table beside us. The food wasn't even all the great either. We spent $118 on two entrées and 2 beers however it didn't seem like authentic PEI seafood...just seemed like it was pulled out of a box and microwaved!! I wouldn't suggest this resturant at all!!! Customer service is terrible and food is mediocre :(

This is really an overpriced place, as a turists I guess I paid for my ignorance. Yet the view from the patio is really good.

Our server was fantastic. Calamari was very delish. Rest of the food was gross. Wouldn't recommend this place. So many better places in PEI to eat

The food was delicious and the view was beautiful...and our server Dave was just awesome...not to mention how helpful and funny he was.

LobsterOTW 1 hr10min from sitting down to dinner on table. Not server's fault. Lobster overcooked/inedible, tasted bad, and was sent back. Crab cakes very average. Ribs very good. Overall a huge disappointment!
