Review Redwater Rustic Grille - Charlottetown

The food is consistently lacklustre. This time, I ordered the "Prime Beef Burger" with the soup. The beef was anything but prime. It was thin, dry and obviously prepped in the morning, chilled and then barely warmed before serving. The soup was possibly the most neutral dish I've ever had as it was 1° from either great or terrible. The bread was stale and then obviously frozen as the outside was crumbling dry while the inside was nearly fresh. Redwater seems to cut every available corner while pricing as if they don't and using pretense to demand higher costs, which makes it offensive as a customer and deserving of the lowest rating. We had early dinner reservations and were told we had to wait to be seated while the restaurant was 90% empty as they "needed to get our table ready". The server was unprepared, didn't know the the soup (how do you get a serving job without the ability to walk in the kitchen and ask what the soup and specials are immediately when you arrive on shift?) or offer any specials, recommendations or offer to assist us in any way, yet consistently had a lingering presence which bordered on abusive due to the lack of personable care. It was almost as if he knew the food was not great and was unhappy that his tips depend on the quality of food coming out of the kitchen and couldn't bring himself to relate to us. Anyone who rates this place 5 stars obviously doesn't understand food or the restaurant business. There are far better places to eat in Charlottetown. It's sad when a Maids burger and Swiss Chalet bread is fresher..

Always a good meal. One of the best semi-formal dining rooms in Charlottetown. The menu is not large but has something for everyone. Definitely not a pub. Service is polite, helpful and efficient.

Horrible… they’re trying to be too fancy for the food they serve. The menu has nothing to offer for the average person, and way too over priced. Found a hair in my seafood chowder and they put ranch on my pizza. Not happy… staff was great and restaurant was clean. Food just tasted awful.

Got the Burger Love. Burger was very, very dry. The hassleback potato was incredibly undercooked. There is no reality where that bun is brioche. What a waste of money. Only reason I’m giving it 3-stars is because normally the food is good, but this was an absolute disappointment and not worth even half what was paid for it - literally threw half of it out.

The burger was sad $21 came dry and burnt in the edges. Forgot our friends order fries were undercooked. Your paying premium prices for the decor and downtown location food not so much.

Excellent food and service! My son has food allergies and they went above and beyond to make him a safe and delicious meal. I would 100% go back!

Food was ok but service was terrible. The waiting time was super long, we asked a blonde waitress how long would it take and she immediately asked if we want to cancel the order, meanwhile the order was going to be ready in 5 minutes. I just felt like she wants us to get out the restaurant in a “polite way”. Don’t know if that has anything to do with being Asian.

Food was excellent and enjoyed every bite. Drinks were flavourful, and effective haha. Shout out to our server Toro for the great service.

I have been here multiple times and have never been disappointed! Service is great and the food is wonderful, especially the steak and flatbread. Redwater has turned into I spot I would recommend.

I took tour groups to have dinner here, a few times, and the food and service was superb! Definitely a hidden gem!

Certainly not a welcoming spot for children! Better step up your game for tourist season. My niece came for a surprise visit this week, and stayed at the Holman Grand. She took her 15 month old baby down for breakfast. Yes, 15 month olds are messy. And perhaps a little loud, but pretty adorably so- a very sweet baby but apparently not so to a waitress who was disgusted with the mess and certainly let her displeasure be known to my poor niece who on top of an overpriced breakfast had to deal with rude service .

My wife and i enjoyed Winter Dine here this evening, both food and service were great!

Our first "date" and then our wedding anniversary meal. So this also has sentimental meaning. But the food always tastes awesome. And the wait staff is so quick and polite.

Was here for nacho week. The nachos were very tasty but there was not much kimchi salsa and the price was pretty crazy for what they were. And my upstreet beer was $9 which I also thought was a bit outrageous.

Red pepper dip is amazing, so is the steak! Service is top notch

Amazing place to eat :) My fiance and I go there every time we want to have a nice dinner out and the service/food is always (always!!) fantastic.
