Review Buono Mangia - Charlottetown

My girlfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful time time at Buono Mangia. They Make the pasta fresh everyday all day 2 order. This is not your typical mom and pop Italian restaurant, restaurant, it's better.

Best Italian food on the island!!! Fresh homemade noodles, their lasagna is to die for! Make sure to make a reservation as the restaurant has limited seating. Can't wait to go back 🙂

This is a small Italian restaurant that definitely requires a reservation. The menu is a standard menu with one or two specials. The food was well presented in a timely manner and cooked well. We had appetizers and main courses and one of the four of us had dessert. Nice selection of wines to go with dinner. The markup on wines seemed to be a little lower than at other restaurants. Large parking lot and the restaurant is accessible.

Best authentic Italian pasta dish in town. Wouldnt go anywhere else for pasta. Fettuccine carbonara is my favourite but lots of fantastic delicious options. Family favourite and always our go to for date night. I will take pictures next time but always forget as it is so delicious. This restaurant is a must try. Service is excellent!!!

Amazing food!!!!! Staff extremely friendly. Overall EXTREMELY pleased with this place. Clean and relaxing environment. Worth every penny spent. Will go again when in PEI.

Was looking forward to eating here for a year. We had a party of 5. We got placed in a separate room with little decor but that didn't matter because we were so excited for the room. We ordered the bruschetta- it comes in only 4 pieces but we have 5 pieces. The sever said we could have more but it was extra....not a problem- we just took the 4. It was warm and had no balsamic on it- quite plain and little taste. Then we ordered the special chicken pasta, Ceasar salad, 2 Fettuccine Carbonara and a sausage pSta meal. Unfortunately, there was little taste to the carbonara dishes. Very bland and plain. The sausage pasta dish was good. The Ceasars salad was fair. The special chicken dish was plain and bland. The portion sizes were so small- it didn't even fill anyone up. Then comes the bill- over $150 for just the food. Without a tip. 3 glasses of wine and 2 pops came to $45.00. For a place that we were so eager to try, it was a huge disappointment.

Wow! This was incredible. Truly the best Italian restaurant in Charlottetown. Small dinning area, very good for a family outting for a special occasion or a date with your loved one. REAL Italian food, noodles cooked to perfection al dente. Worth every penny. I was tempted to order 3 dishes just for myself! From appetizers to dessert, this is fine dining. Delicious! Thank you Buono Mangia for a good eat.

Not child friendly. Good food but the most horrendous service July 28th at dinner. Do not suggest taking a child or they will be shushed and you will likely be told how to parent your child. Have never experienced anything like this. Am still fuming.
