Reasons to eat at Boom Burger:
1. You love Five Guys but there isn't one in the area.
2. You have heard of Five Guys, but have never been to one.
3. You are hungry and just want a damn good burger.
Great stuff, although it is totally the Five Guys business model, down to the menu items and the preparation. The only thing missing is the peanuts.

First time there heard alot about you guys and finally decided to stop and all i can say is great food fries were prefect and my big boom bacon cheese burger was better then any fast food restaurant I've ever had definitely worth going if your in Charlottetown

Great burger, best hot dogs in town. Love the fresh cut fries. Even though it was my first visit to Boom Burger if felt very familiar. I had to ask if this was what they called Five Guys Burgers and Fries on PEI. A 100% copy of Five Guy's. Food was great!!!
The burgers might look like they've been through the ringer, but the taste is there! Tons of options to build the burger your way and always an overflowing abundance of fries to go along with it! Located on the highway, it's a quick easy in & easy out while traveling throughout the island!
Burgers were really good, the buns were toasted and buttered, adding to the flavour. Free topping options were good - not skimped on, and the food portions were large. Staff were super friendly and always doing something...stocking, sanitizing, cooking...the whole time we were there. I rated BOOMburger only 4 stars as it is really pricey for a burger meal, with no combo options available.

This place has the same style/quality as Five Guys burger chain. It's not fancy but you're coming here for the food anyways....
The burgers are cooked fresh on a griddle. Fries are also fresh from PEI potatoes.
The prices are a bit on the high side, but if you're looking to save money and the weather is good, skip getting drinks and bring your own and eat outdoors. While normally I wouldn't recommend stiffing a business trying to make a go, at $3.00 per cup + tax for fountain pop is a rip off. ($10 for 3 fountain sodas is excessive).
Pro-tip - they throw in a scoop of fries into the bag, so you get a lot of fries. An order of regular fries is typically enough for 2 people.
Two must stops for us when visiting PEI is Boom Burger and Cows Ice Cream.
My daughter's comments:
There were some negative things that happened BOOMburger and positive things about the restaurant.
Positive things first, the meat was delicious! The cheese too! It's made from real natural beef and cows! That's what made it so delicious.
The negative thing were not so good on the other hand. First off they messed up my order just a bit. I asked for hot sauce and received hot peppers, they weren't even spicy. Is that hard to tell the difference?
Another negative thing was when my dad went to get some soda that was included with his burger. Out of the blue, the machine spewed out the Pepsi and it got all over his shirt, shorts, arms, shoes, face, and eyeglasses! Now obviously he was furious! So he demanded a refund and the cashier looked at him shaking their head while giggling. Then my dad demanded talking the manager and got his refund.
BUT the food was heavenly delicious!!
In addition, employees should check soda machines to ensure right before customers use.
The kids who were working at the counter were amazing. They were so polite. We were greeted with a smile the moment we walked through the door, and we were noticed when we were leaving with a kind: "Have a nice day." The order was made quickly and was delicious. Your staff is wonderful. Great experience
We had a couple of burgers and some fries and they were totally on point! I haven't eaten here in years and back then I really didn't like the food, but now I can definitely say I love it! Definitely will be going back in the future for sure! And the staff are super friendly and accommodating as well!!
