Review Row House Steak & Lobster - Charlottetown

Stopped twice for drinks. Friendly staff, but got a little attitude when we declined the food menu prior to a show we were going to. Took them more than 10 minutes to bring our drinks. On the other side, we had 2 nice waiters asking us if we were ok a few times ( not our waitress). As we were going for dinner on a Saturday night, because it was highly recommended, they were closed for inventory! Why would you close on a Saturday during tourist season?

What a horrible business. We had heard good things about this restaurant and decided to phone early in the afternoon to make a reservation, we were told that they did not reserve tables on weekends but we should be fine if we were there before 6. When we got there well before 6 there was empty tables, apparently reserved! After asking the host about how we were told over the phone that no reservations were made on weekend he confirmed this. A group of three came in after us and were asked if they had called and were promptly seated at a table. When we asked the host why we could not get a table seeing as the group got seated (we were there first) he said that they had called 10 minutes earlier to reserve but he could make a reservation for us next weekend (although he just stated that they do not do reservations on weekends). We are from out of province so next weekend is not going to work. While we were walking away the host yelled “Welcome to the island” at us!! I called and asked for a manager but was told that there is no manager available until Tuesday! Left my name and number. I have doubts that I will hear from them. I have notified the people who recommended this pathetic place of our experiences there. Google should have the option of leaving no stars, that would be my choice.

Jennifer runs a great house. Super friendly staff, (especially Simon!) terrific patio and a fab selection of wines, beers and cocktails. Try the scallops any way you can. Good steak, fun entrees. Go there!

We had dinner here on our last night in PEI and I picked it because of the reviews. Our waiter Davion just made our evening! So pleasant and accommodating. He really provided great service. The fish tacos are spicy but Davion had them made at half spice for me which was perfect. I really liked how they had custom built partitions for added Covid protection. The dessert tacos are amazing! Very happy with this choice for dinner.

Great food. Good selection. Nice atmosphere and our waitress was super friendly and efficient. We just walked in and got a table but it was on a Monday evening.

Food was excellent best meal we had on the east coast definitely a must try if in Charlottetown! Live music in the streets was a hit with our two year old, staff were patient and understanding with our two young kids, all around a great place to dine! Highly recommend

What a fantastic restaurant concept! Order at the front counter to take out or eat in. When your number is called you pick up your food at the counter, which was ready in 5 minutes, and sit. The food was excellent too! Clam straps and scallops for me!

We waited a long time for our food, but it was worth it!

We visited the Row House for the first time tonight. We will return. The decor is tasteful and relaxing. Normally we panic when we see long lines of bank seating. However, given the configuration of the restaurant there was not much choice. The server managed our seating very well. He left a table empty between parties and was thoughtful enough to place a large party off as far as they could be spaced from the rest of us couples. So, it was a very pleasant dining experience. He also managed the food service very well to contribute to our pleasure with the place. We ordered a Pelle Island carafe of White wine. It came perfectly chilled. The Menu was perfect in the number and variety of choices. We were just about to order a Fish Platter for two. But then, another table's Burger Love burger arrived in clear sight. I had to have it. I was delighted with this speciality burger. This is my third Burger Love entry and the best by a mile! My wife ordered Scollops and Risotto. She is a great fan of both scollops and risotto and orders it frequently. She ranked her dinner with the very best dish she has ever received. We would recommend the Row House to anyone.

Good food, excellent and courteous staff. Great location to enjoy a patio drink/meal and take in the free live music from the street pavilion!

We had supper there this evening! So awesome! My husband had the 1 3/4” pork chop! It was amazing. I had a strip loin steak ! So delicious! Service was great and the atmosphere was very upbeat! The caesar salad with homemade dressing and homemade croutons tasted just like I used to make sooo good! Would definitely come back for sure!!

3 of us ate there last night. The service was wonderful, the food was great - from the bacon wrapped scallops and calamari appetizers to the main courses of lobster, the beef ribs, and the salmon. Our server (unfortunately, I didn't catch her name) was attentive and delightful all evening. This place is deffinately a contender for the best restaurant on PEI. Thanks for a great night. We'll be back.
