So many positive reviews about the korma. Here is another.
This place is a go-to anytime I am in Ch’Town. It has a good pub feel and really great service. The menu is what you would expect in an English-style pub and the curries do not disappoint.
The lunch version of the chicken korma is what I have posted in the photo. Not too sweet and the naan and jasmine rice are perfect with it. Also, good fries!
Once upon a time, in Guelph, Ontario there was a pub called The Penny Whistle which served chips (french fries) and curry (Curry flavoured sauce/gravy). It was a personal favourite. The Penny was killed by the pandemic, as many restaurants were. I feared I would never taste the glorious Curry and chips again, but lo and behold - The Churchill Arms served it and it was beautiful, holy even. Loved every moment.
TL;DR Great food, staff, ambiance, and price point.
When you’ve had your fill of all the amazing seafood in Charlottetown (is that even possible?) head to the Churchill Arms for an amazing curry. Had the madras chicken. Perfect. Just the right amount of heat, tins of tender, juicy chicken and wonderful fluffy basmati. Great service. Super beer selection. And if you still want seafood, my partner had the lobster club and it was terrific!
Churchill Arms is an authentic English pub transported to our little island in Canada. The best curry on either side of the pond, fish and chips to die for and the best fries on PEI.
Pre-covid you expected to stand in line for a table. Even with many isolating, this is where foodies go when they eat or take out.
My new fav is their greek platter with cucumbers, tomatoes, tzatziki, feta, greek olives and more. Lots of fresh pita for dipping. It puts out the fire of their incredible beef madras. (Only for the bravest!) :-)
Good spot for a drink. Very friendly service and classic pub decor. Didn't try the food.
Great place. Classic pub, would make this a regular stop. Could stand to improve the single malt selection but otherwise a great location. The curries are absolutely top notch.
Fantastic little pub. Excellent beer, food and service. Do yourself a favor and go. Well worth the visit. I'll be back for sure. Thanks from an Ottawa tourist.
My husband and I ate here and enjoyed the food immensely. Although the menu is not printed with nutritional warnings, our server advised me that GF options were available and which items to avoid. I chose the Chicken Tikka Nachos and the flavour blend was fantastic. My husband had the fish and chips and the 1pc was enormous. The batter was crispy and so were the fries (perfectly). Highly recommend eating here.
