Review Censai Roll - Central Saanich

A lovely little sushi spot, with very affordable pricing and delicious food. Popped in for a quick bite, service was excellent and they had a very cozy atmosphere. Would recommend their spicy sushi combos, they were great!

Excellent food here! Bento box for lunch is a great deal! (Very reasonable price too!) Had it for take out due to the COVID restrictions.

Very good food. Owner is very accomodating. They only do take out during the pandemic but we were able to sit outside.

We get take out from here once every month or so. We have never been disappointed. The udon soup is very tasty. Their sushi rolls have always been fresh, and delicious.

4.5 / 5 😃: super friendly staff and good service. 😃: tempura is super crispy and crunchy, I ordered the 3 pieces tempura combo, beyond my expectation. 🤨: sushi are not in the super yummy zone, taste not bad but the quality of the sushi rice is not as good as I expected. Note that they use wild salmon for Nigiri, which does not have the fatty taste like farmed salmon. Since the tempura are so good, I will try some of their other fried dishes next time.

We like coming here for a laid-back impromptu japanese dinner. Service is casual, friendly, and attentive. The Bento Boxes, our usual choice, are tasty, nicely presented, and avoid being greasy. We dine in, however phone-in takeout is also available.

We had a great dinner here. Food is delicious and the staff are freindly. Especially loved their bento box which comes with teriyaki, roll, salad, tempura and miso soup. Highly recommend this place!

Delish sushi! Everything was very fresh tasting. Really enjoyed our tempura veggies and prawns. Decent portions as well. Only thing that was slightly disappointing is we went to have a dinner date as it says on their website open for dine in or take out and upon arriving it was only take out available. No biggie, only had to wait 25 mins for our big order. We will be back!

Great Sushi!. I went to Cenai Roll because I live 5 minutes away. Thought i'd try the new japanese restaurant in town. Delicious! I ordered the caterpillar roll (avocado and Eel) and the fried squid roll and my girlfriend ordered the chicken katsu roll. Everything was fresh and tasty and inexpensive. We both thought the Katsu sauce was a tad too salty but nothing major. Definitely going back especially because its so close. 10/10
