Review Trackside Bistro - Castlegar

David Henri
Tasty but still hungry, portions must be for dieters, as my was exceptional small. I ordered their Montreal smoked meat sandwich, which came to $9.60 with tax. It came out fairly quickly, and was quite tasty, but was no more than a hamburger bun with probably 50 to 75 grams of meat, a small dab of mustard, kraut and a small pickle. Not likely to return, heard other comments about small portions. Probably OK for light eaters, but I am not one.

Not all prices were posted, hours are a bit confusing. Front staff was MIA for a few minutes but my food came quickly once I ordered. My meal was delicious, the café had a great atmosphere, and the staff were friendly. It was also clean, well designed, and seemed to have a few solid menu items. I will visit again.

Best Roast Beef sandwich I've had in a long time. Soup was excellent also. Will definitely be back.
