Review Shining Waters Bakery - Cape Breton Island

Pedro Martinez
Excellent place for comfort food. We tried the grill cheese, soup of the day, the caveman eggs, and cookies. Everything was well prepared, fresh and delicious. Super friendly staff. Definitely a stop on our way to and back from the Cabot Trail.

Wonderful, cheerful, friendly atmosphere and terrific food. The cinnamon rolls are incredible! We were just on Cape Breton Island on vacation, and we frequently went to Shining Waters for breakfast. They made us feel part of the family.

Stopped in before a long drive home, now I wish I hadn't. None of the breakfast places around me can hold a candle to this place. Highly recommend if you're within a few hours drive.

If you’re looking for a hearty start to your day this is it. Classic breakfast with homemade bread and perfectly roasted potatoes(not greasy). Great place to stop on route to the Cabot Trail.

Awesome breakfast. Had the "Caveman", filling and delicious. Sat on Deck with my dog, and they brought it a water dish. Sweet people!

My daughter really love the muffin, biscuits are also good. Malheursement, the cafe just like the hot water.
