cute little restaraunt. must try while you're in Canmore. tried out the scotch egg it is a must try. thank you for the great service and food!
Nice lunch with friends. Excellent service. Quirky atmosphere which I like. I had the roasted chicken sandwich (BCF ?). Which had a great mix of flavors with a bit of spice on a wonderfuly fresh bun.
Fun and warm decor/ambience and very friendly staff who seem to enjoy being there. The food was so tasty, we especially loved the confit duck wings which were recommended to us. Would absolutely go there again!
So glad I convinced my cousin to try this place out instead of the safe bet, Grizzly Paw, next door.
The place was packed when we arrived but our soon to be dining-predecessors (who were Canmore locals, by the way) highly recommended we stay and take their table as they were on their way out.
We each had a glass pour and shared the tater tots. The TTs were nothing to write home about, but for $6, who cares. It was food to accompany our stellar wines.
The place is small and quaint, extremely well decorated, with excellent music, and even better service (thanks, Veronica). You really feel like you're part of the family/team - the overall vibe is cozy, like home.
We couldn't go home without trying one more dish, so we opted for their scotch egg. DELECTABLE. Wrapped in prosciutto, spolumbos sausage, then breaded, fried, and served atop house made Dijon aioli. Super rich yet oh so satisfying. It was $7, and worth it.
We've already made resos for tomorrow.
Great service.
Limited menu.
Stopped in for an appatizer and a bevy on our tour of Canmore.
Server was really personable.
Decided on some Baked almonds (pricy handfull of nuts...but they were good!). They did accompany our Ginger beer and tequila cocktails (the "Mexican Mule"!) very well.
Small place with a great vibe and nice atmosphere.
If we find ourselves in Canmore again...
We'll be back to explore the menu further!
This was the best meal I have had in a long time. Everything on the menu is inventive and unique, and our meal was perfectly executed and delicious. Our server was wonderful, and was even able to tell us where we could buy the wine we had with dinner.I was especially impressed as our server advised that they had just rolled out their new menu that day. Usually there are some kinks to work out but everything was wonderful and came out in a timely manner. The new menu is not on their website yet so I'm not sure of the names of the dishes. The menu is designed to be shared, which is my favourite way to eat, so we had a salad with goat cheese, beets, and nuts, spicy tequila shrimp with a blue cheese dipping sauce, and a scotch egg. I started dinner with a caesar, which was dressed with sausage, cheese, and pickle on a skewer, and followed up with the Gruen Riesling. The bill came to around $60, which I think is very reasonable.I wish theis restaurant was in Edmonton! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Canmore.
Stopped by for lunch on the way home. This place was previously O bistro. I didn't realize it changed until I got to the restaurant. The menu is small but the food was really good. This is mainly a wine cocktails and tapas place. I enjoyed my lunch and I would definitely be interested in check this place out for dinner sometime.
Canmore' best kept secret. This new place has delicious cocktails and a small but very appetizing menu. All of the food items we have ordered have been outstanding. The funky decor is a nice change.
The location is central on Main but it is easy to walk right by. They need better signage. While sipping my Rob Roy cocktail I watched numerous people try to figure out what this place was and keep walking.
The best food in Canmore. We came here twice on our visit and every dish and every cocktail was superb. Best food I've had in a long time. Service and atmosphere are also great.
That cheesecake...is my favorite dessert. And I'm not even a cheesecake person.
Great cocktails đčsat at the bar and enjoyed a High Violet $16 cocktail. I tried the Bramble Rose $18 yesterday and I recommend that cocktail more. Tiny little restaurant and bar. Space for seating at bar and in restaurant could be utilized better with the entire bar cleared off for customers but a bookcase of records is blocking a 2 people from sitting at the bar. The bartender had to move decorative items from another part of the bar for me to sit at the seat that was open. Circular tables instead of square could maximize space and having swing in and swing out seating attached to the tables.
Staff seems overwhelmed. Need busboy, dishwasher and hostess. Bartender is in the back washing dishes. Install an automatic small glass dishwasher the the âCrazy Weedâ uses so bartender is not washing her own dishes. Automatic as much as you can. Pints of water at the table would allow the customers to refill their waters themselves and allow servers and bartenders to focus on more money making items. Music could be louder and closer to theme.
Very glad we stopped here for dinner and drinks during our visit to Canmore.
The food is VERY good. So well seasoned & with a great depth of flavour. The calamari (only 1/4 of it pictured here cause we ate it so fast) was perfect. The short rib pasta was a standout. The wagyu meatballs were a little less juicy than I would prefer but the amazing sauce they came with + potato purée made it stand out as well. The heirloom carrots were also SO flavourful.
The dishes are (slightly) smaller plates that are meant to be shared but, 3-4 plates for 2 hungry people was a good amount of food. The cocktails were delicious, I wouldâve loved some more classic options that were less sweet, but what we had were delicious. The midnight cowboy in particular was great.
Long story short. Come here. Cozy, laid back ambiance. Heated patio. I live in Toronto and This place rivals most of the notable restaurants out there. Thanks for the great time!
This is what I call a hidden gem. We were definitely surprised at how good the food was here and the cocktails are to die for. The portions are great and are meant to be shared. The variety of flavors were also unexpected but amazing. The one thing that I would change would be the service. Although our server was nice and our food was brought out within a reasonable amount of time, she was working alone and was frustrated at how busy it got at one point (which is understandable), so her stressed out reaction wasn't really pleasant. Overall, still a great experience and I'll be back again.
First of allâ I felt like I was sitting at the Garrison Pub from Peaky Blinders, except shinier đâš The bartender is next-level talented and created unique, delicious cocktails that were honestly worth every penny (we didnât have a chance to try the food). We were seriously impressed by the originality & creativity of this place. ** I only give 4 stars because our server was a little bit grumpy and she came to our table twice in the 2 hours we were there.** Thank you for helping make my birthday weekend even more special (:
Excellent cocktails, great service, cozy ambience, great view! The food looked amazing but I wasn't hungry.. I'll to go back!
Incredible place! My husband and I visited Canmore recently and stumbled upon this gem. Incredible interior, very unique, delicious food and cocktails!
My family came here for brunch today and had a fantastic time! The service, drinks, and food were unreal. The staff was kind and attentive, and the manager even took time to sit with us and give us some history on the building and decor when we asked.
The food was out of this world, quite easily one of the best breakfasts weâve ever had. Price was reasonable as well.
I will absolutely be back and would recommend this restaurant to anyone who asked!
