We were introduced to this hidden gem by some really good family friends (shoutout Lynda & AL) who have been going to this restaurant for decades. The atmosphere the second you walk in could be described as inviting and warm.
The roast beef & ribs that were served were delicious and that special lobster soup was to die for. In fact, I had to have two servings it was that great and I am not a soup person at all.
The owners Mike & Amy are awesome and the service is top notch. We experienced first hand why Chubby's creates such raving fans.
Had a delightful experience going to Chubby's this weekend - a charming and welcoming (and very clean!) atmosphere, we enjoyed the truly home cooked food that is obviously prepared with care. Safety was not a concern as the buffet is well managed and the dining room is spacious. Looking forward to return visits!
This is the absolute BEST place around these parts. The food is so delisious and the people there are so down home. Every time my husband and I go we love it more! It is a very special place.
My dad has lived down the street from Chubby’s for 8 yrs & last weekend was our first visit. It definitely lived up to its reputation.
The salad bar was excellent with a wide variety of options (even for a vegetarian). The roast beef portions they gave were very generous & was beautifully done to perfection. Everyone at our table couldn’t stop raving about the roast and the salads.
The dessert options were equally delicious.
We’ll be going back very soon. Highly recommend Chubby’s for some amazing home cooking in the country, at affordable pricing.
Our first time going to Chubbys and definitely not our last. It was fabulous! Home cooked meal in a home like atmosphere! Took my husband there for his birthday and we were more than pleased!. We had the roast beef and pork tenderloin. The gravy you could drink it was so delicious! Homemade rhubarb and pineapple pie that should be in every bake contest around! 1st place for sure!!
Chubby,s was as wonderful as before. Tonight's buffet table had plentiful salads, roast beef, mashed potatoes, ham and scalloped potatoes. Desert consisted of several sorted pies, ice cream and assorted squares.
The atmosphere is very warm and cozy. Staff was efficient and friendly as were some of the other customers.
Will definately go back again.
