Review The Hungry Olive - Cambridge

Morgan Loro
Easy to miss but absolute gem of a place. Food is amazing and staff are very friendly. Service takes a little longer than the average sandwich shop but it’s definitely worth the small wait. Since discovering this has become my go-to lunch spot.

I really lucked out finding this gem to get lunch today. It is simply amazing. The staff are great and very friendly. The food is amazing and they have changing daily specials. They are are truly a hidden secret but shouldn't be! I'll be coming back for lunch many many times. Can't say enough good things about them!

Good for lunch, if you are around that area.

The Italian Panini had potential, except the staff decided to let it burn because they seemed to not care. Both ladies seemed very annoyed to have customers or to be at work. The Veggie soup was terrible. Would be a 1 star review except for the fact that ignoring the burnt Panini, it was still quite good.

Sssooooo slow. Such a slow service it's ridiculous. Food is alright but portions are small compared to the competition. Updated to reply I Absolutely disagree with your reply and let me elaborate. I understand the lunch hour rush, but that is not the issue at hand. I also understand and appreciate the time it takes to make fresh food. The biggest issue is the slow SERVICE. To put things into perspective, it takes me 3 to 4 mins to drive to your place and 10 to 12 mins to Holly Guacamole. It takes me the same time to get back to me work. Simply because the service is slow and unorganized. Mostly bad communication and cluelessness. I was blown away on my last visit, that's why i wanted to review. Generally the same people work there and sometimes new faces. I don't come as much. I would also be very careful as to what you post. You DO NOT serve DOUBLE SERVINGS on daily specials. Not even close. That's why I don't bother with them anymore amd order a pre made sandwich. Several times i was insulted at the amount of food I received. Pita pit and Holy Guac are 2 to 3 times the distance and beats the time and price. Yes i will come again but i only go if i REALLY have to.

Great prices and great food. Your money goes way further going here and it's supporting local families, unlike going to Timmies!

Come here for cheap home cooked meals during weekdays. The prices are way cheaper and the food is way better than what you can get elsewhere. They also cater for any type of business functions and also weddings.

I'd leave a longer review but then you might add to the lineup at my favourite lunch takeout spot :p
