Review Caz's Great Fish! - Cambridge

Always liked this place. Good fish and chips. They even cooked their fries enough this time. šŸ˜ Just had their lunch portion of halibut and chips. Good food, good value.

Great place for the best fish and chips! Enjoy their 'light batter' if you prefer. One of my favourite places to eat in Ontario!

Excellent Service! Best fish in chip in town hands down. The owner is a really nice guy. Keep up the great work

I ordered halibut and salad but I did not receive halibut. It wasnā€™t steaky, it was mushy/soft like cod. They insisted it was halibut so I just ate the salad and went to Popeyes for a piece of chicken. Place was clean and extremely friendly staff. Just too bad we couldnā€™t figure out the fish. I donā€™t eat fish and chips too often but I decided to swing by here a few weeks ago. It was pretty decent; everything was crispy, the batter was light and flaky and the fish was cooked nicely. If thereā€™s one suggestion Iā€™d make, itā€™d be for Cazā€™s to make their own tartar sauce

The "cod and chips" I ordered was good, but not the best fish and chips I've ever had. I was very disappointed that this longstanding, "best in town" joint served pre-made tartar sauce. When fish & chips is your only specialty, it should go without saying that you develop your own tartar sauce. Heads up: it is wheelchair accessible, however their door isn't automatic with a convenient button. Someone will need to hold it open for the disabled.

The food was delicious and the waitress was just so sweet and gave excellent service.

The cod is great, best gravy & fries. Try the battered mushrooms!

Haddock was ok but the batter to fish ratio was way too high.

Found it ok for taste but very expensive

As someone who's grew up loving halibut and chips, I've had some great and crappy fish. This fish was great. The batter was a little thicker than I like, but it was light and it was not trying to disguise the thickness of the fish, like SOME places do. The fish was over a quarter inch thick. I was giddy. As you can see from the size of the fish, I didn't eat many fries. I don't think I could've eaten all of the fries alone! The fries could use some work. I added some salt and malt vinegar and they were just ok.
