Had an amazing experience. Love delightful food. Chef is amazing extrovert person who always pays extra attention to his customer. Dining is stupendous which will surely gives you a down town feeling. Wine list is just out of the world. Staff is very friendly. It's worth just give it a try.
I must admit, My husband and I are regulars. My only recommendation is to order the special. I prefer not wanting to know what I will order before I get there. We also like to support local businesses instead of chain restaurants. I've had the lamb shank, the catch of the day and the steak. The space may seem cramped but we've never experienced it overly noisy. The atmosphere is relaxed. The chief usually comes out to ask us how our meal was. He has a very good wine list.
foodie alert. this place is a gem! danny boy brings service to a new level. chef firooz never disappoints. food is excellent. price point is very reasonable. worth a visit. yuummmmm
Amazing European style cuisine with local flavor!. I have been there a couple of times with family and friends. It is more upscale prices but are very worth it if you don't mind a bit of a wait. Food always comes out hot. Amzing selection of seafood and meats and good portions aswell. great atmosphere and great to talk and wind down if your in no hurry.
Food is quality and art!
It's not mediocre as I usually find the food at restaurants. I liked the wine list I liked the food; service was slow but food was good. Not often I like the food.
My partner and I went here for a nice dinner out about a month ago. The food was terrific with combinations of flavours we've never tasted before. Service was also very good. We were both hoping to order the lamb that was on the menu, but they where out. I was disappointed about the lamb, but overall the experience was great. I'd love to go back again sometime soon.
Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience, & despite the name, Elixir is an unpretentious place to take the family to eat. In fact if we have one complaint it is that a little extra pretension would do this place wonders. Don't get us wrong, it's not that we want our starter to consist of a plum served in a man's hat or anything, but the thing about pretentious places is that you never have to worry about Coldplay coming on the stereo.
If you haven't eaten here yet - you are missing out big time. Solo chef and a fresh menu every week. The food is beyond phenomenal, always flavorful and hot! I love that there is something new every week to try. The prices are great too. The patio is small and cute for the summer, and inside is beautiful. 14/10 highly recommend. The staff are also amazing.
We were a group that tried almost one of everything on the menu. Escargot, Caesar Salad, Lamb, Duck, Coq au vin, Scallops, a beautiful French wine and to finish Creme Brulee, Coffee and Cognac. It was all so good. The flavours were out of this world. And the service couldn't be better. I wish I remembered the name of the lady that served us. She was very well informed and very attentive. Our compliments to the chef for some amazing food.
OUI OUI! This French bistro is a welcome addition to Belmont Village for certain. The pictures won't do it justice. A little pricey, but portions are good and food is delicious. I split the Veal and Beef Bourguignon with my partner.
Loved the restaurant! We had the escargot as appetizer, which was delicious. The veal wasn’t quite to our liking, just a little over cooked. But the beef tenderloin was incredible!!
This place was an absolute treat, to go to. The wait staff was extremely kind and attentive (thank you so much Pierre), the ambiance was warm and welcome, and last but certainly not least, the food; My goodness the food is divine. I never really knew what melt in your mouth meat was until I tried it at this restaurant. I can not wait to come back here again, this place is constantly on my mind, and I'm always looking to recommend it to friends so that I can eat here again. Thank you so much for such a lovely and wonderful experience.
Food was amazing, service was something to be desired. 35 min before we saw a menu, another 25 before someone came for our order, and another 30 min before someone told us they ran out of our order.
First time here, definitely willing to believe this was an off night: Valentine's with set menu and staff of 3-4.
Otherwise, great atmosphere, and really, the food was very good.
Delighted to see Elixir join the Belmont Village, and we just had a fantastic meal. On point as ever, Chef Pirooz and team afforded us a superb evening of food and drink. Best escargot in the city, and my most generous helping of beef cheeks was divine. Capped the night with Strawberry cheesecake, a sublime finish. One of the best restaurants in KW, so glad to have this talented team in the neighborhood!
I got a gift card from my sister as she has always raved about this place. We finally went for dinner, I had the duck and it was amazing. We instantly regretted so long waiting to visit Elixir Bistro. Definitely a hidden gem in Cambridge!
