Review Thirteen Food & Beverage - Cambridge

Ate here in the summer time. Hopefully, they close down the street again, as the outdoor patio was excellent. Food was delicious. We had the wings, a kiss chicken finger meal, and the Dill Pickle Pizza. Quality food and tastes fresh. I also had a beer from Farm League Brewing (Fun Police IPA) which was fresh. This place cleans their lines and has a great line up of drinks to select from. Location is great and is a short walk to other items downtown. We have also ate in the restaurant and the service/food was excellent. Highly recommend.

We stopped by this place during our visit to Cambridge. Cute place. They have outdoor patio as well. Being a vegetarian, I didn’t have many options for main dishes but I got the tomato + herb pan pizza. I would say it was 7/10 however, my friends loved their burger and pesto chicken pasta! :)

While the beer was fantastic, the same cannot be said of their food and service. Ordered a Fried Chicken Dinner (at $25) and a regular burger ($15). I mentioned to the waitress that I saw plate pass by with 5-6 pieces of chicken on it and asked if this was the Fried Chicken Dinner. She nodded her head in agreement and said yes. So I ordered it and got the attached picture. To my surprise, I asked the waitress to confirm the price and my order. She right away asked I wanted to speak to the owner. I spoke to the owner and asked for confirmation that what I order is what I got and asked about what I saw originally. He was very dismissive and denied that the plate that I originally saw with 5-6 pieces of chicken on it existed. They refused to exchange my order or make any changes. This plate in most restaurants would be $10-15 for 2 pieces of chicken, or more accurately 2 chicken tenders. On top of it all we asked for some hot sauce and they charged $2 for that cup of hot sauce. Would not recommend.

They do a great brunch. Kind of a secret, limited but great menu. We had the egg in cast iron skillet and will be back soon.

Not impressed at all. My husband and I went this afternoon for a summer patio lunch. The service was quite slow, which was fine as it was quite hot out today. We sat on the patio. My husband ordered two beers during our meal, and an entree, and I ordered a cider and a pound of salt and pepper wings. The wings were ridiculously small, and there were only 7 in the basket. For $17.00, I would expect a full pound. They were not seasoned properly, and weren’t very good at all. The two wee slivers of celery were rotten on one end, the two slivers of carrots were fine. Actually the carrots were the best part of the meal for me. My husband was charged for pints when he received half pints. And his meal was so overpriced at $20.00 for a braised beef sandwich. We felt the meal was awful and a total scam. I understand restaurants have been through a challenging time, and costs have gone up, and profits need to be made, but we felt like we were taken advantage of. I was very disappointed with this meal, and we won’t be back.

Food was good but the service I received made my friends and I feel uncomfortable. The waitress was very dismissive, annoyed, and very distance. I was very unimpressed because I enjoy the atmosphere of this restaurant however after that experience I am hesitate to return. An example of the service would be turning her back when we are asking her stuff or walking away before we are done talking. My friends and I are not oblivious to someone that does not want to around us. We were polite and respectful and did not receive the same energy back. Another example was when we were paying she would hand the machine individually to us but walk away to the front of the restaurant after every person paid. “Hand the machine over….walk away….take 5 minutes to come back…..then hand the machine to someone else…” was very irradiating because there was 4 of us. To be in an environment where someone visible does not want to be around you is not the environment I recommend. I’m not sure if it was because my friends and I are in our middle 20s but that should not change the service! Very unimpressed as it was the first patio we went to for the season. I don’t want to judge one waitress’ service as a representation for the restaurant. But I will be keeping my distance because service matters to me.

Went for dinner with two friends, the food was terrible. Two of us had fish and chips. The fish over cooked and dry, and the fries looked like they had been cooked days earlier. The other person had dried, over cooked chicken wings. I have eaten there in the past and had a nice experience. It’s annoying to have to pay for food you can’t eat….but we are too polite to not pay our bill. We won’t be back! Also it’s very noisy, and loud to have a conversation. It would be nice to have some plants or sound screens

What a terrible experience! We were there for a birthday party last night. Everyone of the staff doing the party party last night was extremely rude! The set up was a mess. They had o run downstairs to get drinks and bring them back up. You could never find the waitress to order one. We only had one that was somehow our designated waitress. She was a dark hair haired girl. She spent most of her night on the corner on her phone while we stood there waiting for her to turn around. She royally screwed up our bills. The pizza you get for $20 was as good quality as you can get from a box in the frozen section. It is literally the size of a dinner plate. 5 drinks and 1 pizza cost us $75. We were asked to leave at 11 on a Saturday night so they can close down that section. It's been a long time since I've been in and for sure my last time. I would recommend you find a better place to have a social drink and some food.

I was there last night with my service dog Mo. Matt and the team were absolutely delightful in every way! The staff is very fast, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and inviting! I love the atmosphere and the team made us feel like family. The beer tap and pizza upstairs is outstanding and the food was HOT and delicious! As a former chef, I very much appreciate the cleanliness, speed and they were very accommodating to special orders and even offered my service dog a BIG bowl of ice water! This is my favourite place to go in Galt now! Thank you guys!

Great meal and great service. The burgers were excellent in all categories and their French fries are fabulous. The fish and chips are tasty and crispy without being the least bit oily and the extra details including coleslaw and tartar sauce are all delicious. Yummy garlicky Caesar salad. It was great all around. They have a great selection of beer on tap and a really good menu. We will be back!!

Love Cafe13! Amazing staff, great food and always an interesting draught (on tap) list. Our favourite place to go.

Really wanted to love my lunch there today. I had the pork belly sandwich, however the amount of pork belly used was disappointing. So little was used that you could not taste it at all and was difficult to even locate on the sandwich. Not worth the price. Service, however, was very good.

I absolutely love 13. The beer is cold, the food is yummy and the staff is amazing. I go in for a meal but stay for the atmosphere created by the ladies. Doesn’t matter who is working, they are all very personal and great at their jobs. Thank you for making my after work, stress free drink, enjoyable!

Went to a Hamilton Family theatre performance yesterday and then for dinner at Cafe 13. All 7 of us were very impressed with our meals. Fish & chips, schnitzel, beef dip all were exceptionally good. Thank you all from the kitchen staff to our waitress. Excellent!

Ate out with friends tonight, and was blown away by our meal! Absolutely fantastic. I called ahead to make a reservation and to discuss menu options, as I have a number of dietary restrictions, and they took the time to adjust a menu item to suit my requirements - and it was indeed one of the best meals I've eaten out in a long while! Much appreciated! Will be back, and will highly recommend. As one of my friends mentioned, as a dish went by "Even though I'm full, I could order one of everything off the menu - it all looks so good!" Thanks!

What a pleasent experience we've had here ! The food was amazing and delious, well presented and delivered to us in a short amount of time. The service was delivered with a pleasant smile and the waitress was very patient and helpfull also with our son who had difficulty choosing a meal. The waitress was so wonderful. Our son would rate his experince in his words a 10. We also felt the same too ! Thank you 13 ! We would definitely return here again.

Impressed! Didn't know what to expect but was extremely happy. I got the Brick Oven Chicken and it was cooked to perfection (moist and not overcooked whatsoever, crispy skin) and super delicious. Beer selection was on point (lots of sours and pommies cider). We will be making 13 a more regular stop for dinner and drinks!

Local is amazing. Great vibe, great beers and butter chicken pot pie... whaaaaat!

Tried the new menu and it is fabulous. My husband and I ordered a number of appetizers to get an idea of the new selection and we were not disappointed. There are some interesting and unique offerings such as the honey chips and dip - which are a must-try! There was an excellent variety of beers on tap, particularly local brews like Barncat Ales. Looking forward to many return visits!

Good pub food, excellent service and nice friendly atmosphere. Menu is a touch limited but some unique dishes that are very tasty.

Had smoked chicken pita with poutine. Wife had fish and chips. We both highly enjoyed lunch. Everything had good flavor and was well prepared.

Great rotating taps, friendly staff, delicious food, and always a fairly chill and calm environment.

Lots of craft beer on tap, good menu, friendly staff.

Great food and good selection of craft brews on tap! We will definitely be coming back in the future!
