Really great lunch specials. The sushi and sashimi was really fresh and the service was very friendly for takeout.
Way better food, quality and service from a few years ago . fish is fresh, well prepared and presented. Good job bouncing back! Will definitely head back here again so as long as the quality and standards stay the same.
I should ask what the ‘AI’ stands for because it’s an intriguing name. This gem of a sushi restaurant is located in Panorama Hills, beside the Save-On-Foods in a small strip mall. I personally find it very awkward to get into this shopping centre from where I live (thanks to very narrow roads with street parking on both sides) but I like shopping at the Save-On-Foods here.
Sushi Ai has amazing food, the friendliest servers and the best vibe. I enjoyed my entire experience so much and would highly recommend it to anyone. It's great for all ages and it will not disappoint.
Was looking for a nice restaurant with great food and ambiance that wasn't too expensive within walking distance. Great selection of dishes that aren't your typical Calgary Japanese fare, e.g. donburi, tonkatsu, chicken nanban. Wanted something that I could go to for a simple, nice, relaxing meal that was delicious but not overly fussy, like in Samurai Gourmet on Netflix. I think I've found it! Would heartily recommend this awesome neighbourhood gem.
Really nice interior and really pretty dishes and such. Very friendly staff. The food was really good, very big portions. The special roll "super buster" (I believe it was called) was a little disappointing. The chopsticks are also slippery making them a little hard to use. The crispy salmon rocket was really good. Will be back in the future :)

My favourite is sashimi roll combo. Chicken nanbang is very delicious.
I was surprised to learn a new sushi restaurant opened up where an old one used to be... but I have to say it is a welcoming surprise! The food is delicious and v fresh. Although it is only my second time trying it... both times have been pleasant, and I hope they continue to be in the future.
