The food and service here are excellent. The only problem is their portion sizes are way too small - I've ordered the rice bowl multiple times and my container is usually half empty. Given that you're paying $10, it only seems fair to expect a full container of food. This is a gentle suggestion to the chef and owners. I would definitely come more often if my container was always full because the food is great!
Love this place. Personalized service with exceptionally high quality food and ingredients. This is a family owned business that really goes the extra mile to make it a great experience. Fresh, healthy and made with love.
Outstanding downtown alternative. I remembered going to Healthfare a few years ago in Edmonton and enjoying it. Imagine my surprise when, while walking through the BP building on 4th Ave, I saw Healthfare had opened a downtown Calgary location!
This place is a great alternative to the usual downtown fare. It is still sandwiches, salads, and rice-bowls, but it's different in taste and in quality. My favourites are the rice bowls (especially the Chicken-Peanut-Lime, Go Green Curry, and Bakker) because they use a crunchy brown rice instead of the usual mass-produced white rice... I guess that's why they call it HEALTH-fare.
Try them out. I would hate to see a high quality and unique place like this not make it because no one will make the effort to attempt something new. The thai express is right next to it, but I'll take the healthfare green curry any day.
Guilt free lunch. OMG....I wish I would have found healthfare sooner.....I'm addicted!
They tell you nutritional values of food items, and its all fresh and healthy. I want to feel good after lunch when I go back to work and not feel guilty by Friday that I ate crappy food....so I found my go to place!
Fresh, healthy, nutritional lunch....what more could a woman trying to make it looking good in the corporate world ask for????? Get me GCs for Xmas!!! LOL. Seriously....amazing place
Thank you!. What a refreshing find. 'Restaurant' is definitely a misnomer, as this place is in a +15 foodcourt surrounded by other franchises, but the food is very tasty and allows easy substitution of marinated tofu for meat. It's a bit pricey, especially if you get a salad, but you're eating healthy and they advertise the nutritional profile of each menu item on their website, so you know exactly what you're getting.
