One of the best authentic Filipino restaurants in Calgary. Quick and friendly service. Great-tasting Filipino food. My personal favourite is the sisig and pancit. Try it! You’ll love it 😍
Ordered for pick up tonight took like 6 calls before someone answered ok as it say online today is they're busier day of the week. I ordered the isaw which is the pork intestine not the chicken one it was great! Tasted really good. Ordered chicken bacolod as well I should say though this didn't satisfy my cravings lol as my boyfriend tried it and said its like chicken mechado.. overall the food was great I got garlic rice as well and that was good I just hope that it was more authentic like. Was still happy with eveything and for sure will try more of they're food!
Me and my wife came here in the afternoon as they served Filipino breakfast throughout the day. We ordered tapsilog and although it was tasty, the service took quite long. I believe it took almost 15-20 minutes for our food to arrive after they took it from us. It took another 15 minutes from being seated for them to take our order so we were not impressed with the service. Another downside is the price, it was close to $13 for breakfast. The food was filling but it is on the high side compared to comparable places.
On other occasions, we have ordered their pork sisig for parties and that was very tasty. We had no issues placing our order and picking up on the same day or placing our order ahead of time and picking up on another day.
Overall, I'd give the restaurant a 3.5, always room for improvement when it comes to their service but their food is tasty.
The food was excellent. The only very annoying complaint was that the waitress stood there while my friend and I discussed her tip. Meanwhile the tip is included as a service charge on the bill. We had the Crispy Pata and the Kare Kare. But the food was worthwhile. Service was fast. The Buko Juice was good. I guess the price was reasonable for 2 people. I don't know if they have single portions though.

Pacific Hut might be my favourite place for a traditional Filipino meal in Calgary. They have all the basics on their menu from adobo to sinigang soup to sisig to bulalo. For the western palate the last two might be intimidating, but for those who love the cuisine, these two dishes are great memories of the islands.
With a large and diverse menu full of salty, fatty, and spicy flavours, I know it's bad, but I always end up getting the simplest thing on the menu: breakfast. It's served all day and it's difficult for me to decline a plate of garlic fried rice topped with an egg and a salty and sweet meat like longanisa sausage. It's incredibly simple, but it satisfies me at a low price of around $10.
You can't go wrong with the traditional stuff either. It's like the stuff an everyday Filipino family would make. I particularly like the sinigang which is large enough to share and, for variations like the seafood, is loaded with meat. The soup base is made of tamarind, so be warned it is a sour and salty soup which is how it should be. For something simple and satisfying get the lechon kawali. It's basically roast pig with a crunchy skin, it's fantastic.
Also, do yourself a favour and end the meal with the halo halo dessert. It's basically a layered sundae of ice cream, ice, red bean, yam, jellies and other goodies. It's pretty huge for one person. This is the best halo halo in the city in my opinion. If there is a national dessert of the Philippines, it would be this.
Now on the negative part, service can be lacking on some days. Staff aren't always attentive, but it's a laid back restaurant. Go with family and friends so you're not bored in that chance the kitchen or servers are slammed.
I too don't understand the negative reviews. The restaurant is very clean with an open kitchen. I could see who was cooking my food. The food was authentic and very tasty. The atmosphere really was truly Filipino. They had drums and a huge, and what I guessed was a karaoke set up. (Very Filipino). Saw one review was just in for halo halo three times. As a previous restaurant professional, not too excited about a table that spends less than $15 at a sitting. If you like Filipino, this place is not a bad bet.
They also sell baked goods! The coconut or buko pie was amazing!
This place is amazing!!! I love coming here. The food and atmosphere is good. I don't understand all the negative reviews I guess some people don't know what good food and service is all about. I truly recommend going here you won't regret it

Delicious!. I have been here a few times with my family and with friends - always have had a good meal. Sinigang soup is my favorite, I order it at every Filipino restaurant. Everything tastes just as it would if we cooked it at home. Tried to go on a Saturday night in February and they were closed for a private function - kind of annoying that a restaurant would close to the public on a Saturday night... However, there is another Filipino restaurant just down the street - use to be called Manila's Finest - now it is called Aristocrat Bar. I don't know if it is really considered a "bar" because I saw children there. Food was really good there too - however, I prefer the setting at Pacific Hut. Looking forward to trying the new location in Riverbend as well! Make sure you order the BBQ sticks! Always a favorite!!!
Food was good! I especially love the pandesal, spanish bread and the very delicious leche flan! Will definitely come back and tell my friends about it:)
Food was really good but the service was really bad. still you can always take food away instead of sitting down just to wait too long for water or dipping sauces. Not too steeply priced and the variety is pretty extensive. love the sisig, crispy pata and sinigang na hipon. Will definitely be back (maybe on days i'm high on patience :))
Pacific Hut is the best Filipino/Asian restaurant not only in Calgary, in Alberta. My whole family loves the food and the staff there and the live music is a huge plus!!!!
Good experience. Staff were warm and accomodating, attended well to our needs, one thing that impressed me most was how they answered my phone call, very professional, great service overall. food was good, place was clean, even the washroom. will definitely come back again.
Been going here for the past 6 yrs, and this new building is great and I have had bad experiences in the past but today was awesome, escabeche was good, a bit on the salty side, callamari was the same, the halo halo this time was awesome! Might be time for me to try the rest of the menu.
Manong Bong. The foods are really good. My wife and I enjoyed the fried bangus and tilapia.We also love the noodles and fried chicken. Para narin kaming nasa Pinas!!
What is most enjoyable is the smile that we receive as we enter. . . and the service is fast - - - a big change indeed!!!
