Review Olive Grove Pizzeria - Calgary

Had a large meat and large ham and pineapple and they were both delicious! Crust was perfect and lots of cheese and meat! I absolutely would recommend this place Under $60.00 for two large pizza like these were is a deal in Calgary!!

Ordered 8 XL Pizzas for a staff meeting at noon everything arrived on time and many great compliment on the South of the boarder Pizza Thank you very much. Great Pizza

First time ordering and it was very good pizza! The menu is fun and exciting, with some alternative choices. We ordered the California Delight and a Pepperoni, mushroom, bacon. Good amount of toppings and oh so tasty!!! We will be ordering again!!

Delicious pizza with lots of toppings and the gluten free crust is one of the best I've ever had. It is very hard to find good gluten pizza, so I was very pleased with the pizza, highly recommend this restaurant.

Top 3 best pizza places in south calgary. Price is great, especially for such a heavy pizza. It’s a thicker, the right amount of sauce, toppings taste like they are real ingredients, crust is 100% on point. I’ve been ordering off them for 25 years since they were in their midnapore location. Yes, the wait times can be long but that comes with a good quality pizza!

I have been ordering from this place for about 2 years and I am extremely happy with the quality and service. These guys are generous with their toppings, the pizza is delicious and they are always friendly. I would highly recommend Olive Grove.

I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo this evening and it was the worst alfredo I ever tasted! It was a big glob of pastie tasting  goo. It was no creamy at all and it tasted like someone added a dry paste to the dish. There was suppose to be a piece of garlic bread with it, there wasn't. there was just a piece of burnt toast! I would never recommend this place to anyone!!! Maybe they should get someone in there who knows how to cook italian!

It was my first time here. Ordered two slices of pizza. One with beef and olive and the other with ham and pineapple. Found out that not all of their items are halal. Ask before you order. They should've made it clear where they advertises halal

My family orders from this Olive Grove frequently and we have always been happy with the quality of pizza. It's not affiliated with the now closed Olive Grove that was in Midnapore, if you were curious. The pizza has a similar thick crust style with loads if cheese and toppings. Only a couple times have we received a pizza that was a little over baked, but easily overlooked because the cheese and toppings are abundant.

The worse pizza in town!!! 🤢 Don't ever order from this place. Customer service 0, overpriced, everything tastes horrible. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

My experience at this place was ridiculous. 0 stars for customer service. The owner has no respect for customers.<br/><br/>I had purchased a Groupon for "Any Medium Pizza and Two Litre Pop". Upon picking up my medium olive grove special pizza and presenting the Groupon, the owner shoved his version of a Groupon in my face and told me the one I purchased was wrong and was only valid for a two topping pizza. He demanded I pay $2 extra per topping for an additional $10. I attempted to explain $10 was not fair and would happily pay a price difference of $2.50 for a two-topper compared to an olive grove special - despite my Groupon indicating any medium pizza. He wouldn't hardly let me finish a sentence and was very confrontational. <br/><br/>He became verbally abusive, treated me with no respect and told me he has more education than me (I have two degrees and a masters education, regardless - this is irrelevant). Upon leaving the store he yelled and told me to never come back. This was a very upsetting experience and I hope no one has to deal with this guy. I have been getting deliscous pizza here twice monthly for the last 4 years...

Took 1.5 hr to get pizza. Pizza is terrible! I ordered cheese toast as a side, got a toasted piece of whole wheat bread in a plastic bag. No cheese on it. Would not suggest eating here.

We like to support local businesses so we thought we would give it a try. We ordered a large donair pizza for delivery. They said it would take an hour, and it ended up taking an hour and a half. It was lukewarm when it arrived. The crust was a bit too thick and doughy for our liking. The donair meat was lacking in quantity and flavour. The cheese was pretty lackluster as well, sort of rubbery. The delivery charge was 6$ which was a lot for one pizza. All in all we were disappointed and would not order from here again.

Beware of over charging. Ordered a pizza and had an entertainment book 50% off coupon. Notified them when I ordered. When the pizza arrived it had a $10 off instead of the $14 off that should have been taken off. <br/><br/>Delivery guy wasn't any help with the matter despite giving him the coupon. <br/><br/>Pizza was mediocre at best. Sauce has no flavor.

I ordered a 2 pizzas for the take 2 and when I got there they only made one I then asked for the second one and had to wait 20 min more there was not discount or any thing just got one pizza hot and the other worm to cold pizza was good the place needs to have better customer service

Aweful. As one of our families passions we like to try different pizza from around the city. We have come across some of the best and sone of the worst. But this location and pizza has literally been on of the worst. Chuckie cheese has better pizza. Or better yet those mini pizzas you get from McCain put them in your microwave over cook forget about taste better then this powder dough. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Had donairs one night..had pretty low expectations but was very pleasantly surprised. They were very good and I love the pita they use it was thinner and a bit crispy. Will deffinitly be back

New Owners, Bad Pizza, Rip Off, Never Again.. The owners have changed. When I phoned it wasn't owner I knew so I asked if the owners had changed, they said No, so I ordered. The charged me $54 for 2 pizzas plus tip so $60. I don't mind paying that for handmade pizza, but this was no better than a frozen pizza, in fact frozen pizza would have been better. I ordered Feta/Pineapple with X topping, & Feta and veggie I got a soup of greasy mozzarella with no feta. When I called to complain they said there was feta under the mozzarella. I checked, no feta. Feta is much more expensive than mozz. I asked to speak to the manager, a guy answered, I said where is the lady who is the owner that's who I want to speak to, oh they don't own it anymore. Seriously? They wouldn't redo my pizza, wouldn't refund my $60 for inedible grease soup, they only offered me a discount on my next order. I said I will never order from them again. He said he has no reason to give me a refund. I said I ordered Feta, didn't get it, he said well that would ruin the taste of the pizza so we only put a little on under the mozz. I said why don't you let me decide what cheese I want on my pizza and you lied to me about the change of ownership, he said oh the girl is new she didn't know. I said Why is that my problem???? Anyways, if I didn't pay cash I would have gotten a refund from Visa. Never again, going to the BBB about these con artists. I told him he was a scammer that even McDonalds would refund my money if they didn't give me the right order. Had to throw everything out cause even the pizza boxes wreaked of smoke from Shisha. Don't go there, Jon's Pizza at Douglasdale is cheaper and much better quality and service.

Quality is worth the wait and the price. I have to laugh when I read the reviews of people who are expecting gourmet pizza in the same time-frame and at the same price as Little Caesars. Olive Grove is true, authentic pizza with dough and sauce made from scratch and premium, fresh ingredients. If you order pizza from a chain sure you might have the 30 minute delivery guarantee and you might save a few bucks with a coupon but your pizza is mass produced and is sitting under a heat lamp until the next "Hawaiian" order comes in. <br/>Olive Grove has great pizza and you can really taste the quality. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the restaurant is clean. All very important to me. <br/>I had the donair after my friend told me it was the best in the city and I was impressed. I will definitely be eating here again, and again, and again.

We really like the pizza, but if you walk into the place, you would walk out because the atmosphere isn't the best. We haven't tried the rest of the menu but the pizza is great for an in-night.

Yuck!. Last summer I would order a falafel wrap at least once a week. The last couple times I got my order I was terribly disappointed. Today I thought I would give them another chance and they failed horribly. My Falafel was ice cold and tasted like sawdust. I will not be going back there and will not suggest Olive Grove Pizzeria ever again.

I love the pizza from this place and the guys are always pleasant. I work in the area so to grab a slice is convenient. Never been let down yet.

Last night we called and ordered 2 pizzas for pick up. I went to pick them up and paid for them with out opening the boxes. When i got home we opened the pizza's to realize that they have given us the wrong order. We called them back and very politely asked if they would deliver the pizza's that we ordered. With most places this wouldn't have been an issue. Olive grove how ever, it was. They said that there was no way they could do that and that they were to busy. They also argued with me and told me that the 2 pizza's that i ordered were the ones that i got. They definitely were not. <br/><br/>Stay away from this over priced, poorly managed, mediocre pizza place.

Worst Donair ive ever had. This afternoon I went to this location and got a large beef donair to go. Upon walking in the door I ordered a donair to go, paid for it and waited. During my wait, my first look at the donair station was somewhat skeptical as the station didn't look very fresh (Veggies were pale and unkempt, sauces had oily layer on top indicating they hadn't been tended to recently). Still willing to give the donair a chance as I had already paid for it, the seemingly brand new employee reaches into a boiler and pulls out dripping, soggy, unappetizing donair meat and slaps it between the wrap. With nearly no appetite left I return to my office, take one bite and throw it in the trash as this was probably the worst tasting donair I've ever eaten. I wish i would have asked for a refund before leaving the restaurant and gone somewhere else.

Terrible Service. Went in on a Monday which is suppose to be their 30% off pizza day. Ordered a pepsi, water and a pizza. Got charged for the water and a refill on the pop which he never indicated that their would be a charge. Typically when you go into a restaurant you don't expect to get charged for water or refills. then to top it off he never gave me my 30% discount. As soon as I asked to see a bill with the discount applied he became belligerent and asked me what I was going to do about it? and Still never came me back the correct change. I would never go back to that location.

Overpriced and Terrible Service. We have been to the Olive Grove in Midnapore several times and really enjoy their pizza, so we thought we would try this location yesterday, as we were in the area. <br/>I was not impressed that they were selling used sheesha pipes, but once I explained to my kids that they were not "drug" pipes, they got over it.<br/>There was no one else in the restaurant and we were seated immediately. I asked the server which size was the "medium" special (two 2-topping pizzas for $29) indicated on the window as they have four different pizza sizes on the menu. She told me that it was the 12 inch size.<br/>As we were deciding, we asked for water to drink, as our kids just don't drink pop. When the server returned, she had brought 4 bottles of water (at $2.75 each). I said that bottled water was not necessary and asked for tap water. When she came back, she had 4 glasses of tepid tap water, that did not even have a single ice cube in any of them.<br/>We had decided on our order by this point - two 2-topping medium pizzas (pepperoni and black olive/hawaiin). <br/>We did not wait overly long for the pizza, but we were too busy visiting so it didn't really matter. <br/>The pizza itself was good; plenty of cheese and other toppings and fresh from the oven. I have no issues with the quality of the food.<br/>Unfortunately, this was also the last time we saw our server. She did not return to see how everything was, nor did we have our water glasses re-filled - even though two of them were empty when the pizza arrived.<br/>The bill was never brought to our table, so we got up to leave and paid at the front. When I was presented with the bill, I was shocked that it was over $50! I said that I thought we were getting the special advertised on the window and was told that it was for take-out only. I should have kicked up a fuss, as I had specifically asked the server about this special and the size of the pizza etc.<br/>To avoid a scene, I simply paid the bill, but I regret it and have been annoyed at the Olive Grove (and myself) ever since. As pointed out by my kids - we could have bought 10 pizzas from Little Caesar's for the same price!<br/>Overview: Good food, terrible service, not the cleanest (I also didn't like the pipes), horribly over-priced.

THE BEST PIZZA IN TOWN. Just new to the area and want give it a try so we ordered from Olive grove pizzeria , sure the prices were higher but i guess like everything in town, we <br/> just love love it ....

Rip off. Ordered two medium pizzas for pickup. They said it would be about 45 minutes. Showed up 45 minutes later and there were 5 other people waiting for their pizza. While I'm waiting the phone is ringing non stop and they're not answering it!? 45 minutes later I get my pizzas ( $29.95 for two) they apologize and the cook yells from the back to the cashier to give me a discount because of the wait. I was charged $36.50. They were talking non stop during this trans action.It wasn't till I was home that I realized they over charged me. They added $5.00 delivery fee but I picked it up!! Btw, the pizza was just okay. Very doughy and greasy. Won't go back.

Wrong order. We ordered a pizza at work, delivery was in fair time, BUT they sent the wrong pizza. I guess we ordered something that they don't have... a Taco pizza. You would think that they would say that is something they don't have on the menu, but they took it upon themselves to send us beef and onion. If its my decision to order for work next time, It will NOT be from here.

Decent. Apolojy for strange enjish, but i go and want eat at food place, i call order for big pizza and hansome moustache wearing man grab my bum, and nobody say i was even there ever?

Now that I've read some other reviews I have to say nothing has changed, they got my order wrong even tho I was the only customer and all I ordered was a donair! After this I will happily wait in line at the Pita Grill in Riverbend, they are great! (and busy :)

Well jons pizza was closed so we tried olive and it was not so good. Lacking something in rhe dough. Pretty bland pizza especially since I ordered extra sauce. I'd never go back.

Ok...when it got here.... We ordered a large pizza and spaghetti at 6:05, it showed up over 2 hours later and 3 calls to the restaurant, on the third call I told the lady she may as well tell the delivery guy to not bother unless it's free, she had told me it was on the way 40 mins prior, you know when food sits for over 40 mins it's not going to be hot, she told me it would be, if it wasn't don't pay the driver, when it finally showed up, guess what, not hot, so I didn't pay the driver and had to warm up our old food. the pizza isn't that good when it's a good hour old sitting in a lined bag driving around in a box. we def won't be ordering in from here again! If we eat here again, it'll be in the restaurant, we had a much better experience eating in!

Crappy service. After over 10 yrs of flaunting it as one of the best, this is now my second horrible experiance with this establishment. Ordered delivery @ 5:15PM. Told 1/2hr to 45min. 7 people waiting, at 6:30 called back & told delivery already out the door & on the way. @ 7:00 called again, told delivery there in 4min. @ 7:15 drove to Quizno's, ordered 5 subs, made, drove home & eating when delivery guy showed after 2 1/2hrs!! Unacceptable...did not accept delivery or pay. Will NEVER call back.

Good pizza if they get the order right. The pizza is very good and we have ordered from them a lot but we won't anymore. We waited over an hour and a half for our pizza only to get a phone call that the delivery guy was lost. My husband tried to give him directions but the delivery guy wouldn't listen so my husband had to go meet him to get the pizza. Totally unacceptable when we are paying for delivery. And then because the guy got lost we had cold pizza. <br/>The only reason we ordered from them this time is because we had a free pizza from the last time we ordered from them. That time they screwed up our order twice. It was so ridiculous! <br/>Apparently there is another place in douglasdale where the pizza is just as good so we will be trying that next time.

Good taste but pricy. I agree with a lot of the comments on here - the pizza's good, but you always get charged more than what the menu says, plus delivery, plus tip, plus they always tack on some extra charge, and your 12" pizza ends up being around thirty bucks.<br/>Can you justify $4 a slice?

This place is absolutely the best pizza in south calgary, possibly even calgary, if you enjoy thick pizza. The rest of their menu is relatively medium, but the pizza is to-die-for. Yes, it is more expensive, but personally, i dont mind paying $25-30 for a large good quality pizza.... you cannot compare the price of a pizza this quality to the price of a pizza that you would get at pizza hut or pizza 73!

Hmmmm. Useless lot. While the food is reasonable the service leaves a lot to be desired. 3 screw ups in as many orders. Never again as they fail to sort the issues and create more along the way. Avoid if you want to have a stress free and CORRECT dinner

Great Pizza. I stopped ordering because the pizzas were very soggy when delivered. I thought I would try again and the pizza was delicious and not cheap on the toppings. However, I was disappointed that the price did not reflect the online menu. I ordered two large which the menu said was $35.00 and because we live within 5km the delivery would be free. This was not the case, two pizzas were over $40, plus delivery fee and GST, with a $5 tip the total was just shy of $52. Delicious, I must admit, but disappointing to be charged more than what they advertise.
