My husband and I were in the need of some mid-week take-out last night….trolling through Urbanspoon we sided with the establishment with the best name. Fortunately for us we sided with “Wok with Dave”. Prices are extremely reasonable with additional discounts for cash on pick up – making take-out that much easier to justify!
The service at Wok With Dave is always extremely friendly, and the portions are consistently very generous. I have come here multiples times and am always impressed by how fresh the food tastes.
We've ordered takeout from Wok with Dave many times and have always enjoyed it. The portions are big, good for multiple meals, and it tastes great and fresh. It's always on time and a good price.
Repeat customer. I am a repeat customer and I mostly have salt & pepper squid and some type of mixed veggies. I don't have any complaints and have really enjoyed every morsel. The meals I have are consistently prepared.
Great Chinese Food. It was our first time at Wok With Dave. We read the reviews on Urbanspoon and decided to give it a try. We were not disapointed. Food is great and non greasy. Cantonese chow mein and BBQ pork Egg Foo Young were excellent. Wonton soup was really not good.
New in the neighborhood. Was super happy to find out a Chinese take out close to my place and even more once I tasted the food. It was really tasty, with a lot of flavor. The food was ready when promised and it was steamy hot when I got home. Price was more than acceptable. I will be going back for sure!!
Excellent & Fresh,. Very fresh and tasty! Tried Wok with Dave after reading the reviews & it lived up to the reviews! It was Father's Day and my husband loves hot and sour soup & we were not satisfied with the restaurant's in Coventry Hills.
Hot and sour soup was very flavourful and fresh, ginger beef tender not chewy, veggies in garlic sauce was so good I wish I order 2nds. Fried rice was made to order not frozen.
Excellent customer service & my husband met with Dave to tell him why we came :)
So drive a little further and try this place.
What a good surprise!!. I normally order from another NW Chinese restaurant. After looking through the reviews here, I decided to try Wok With Dave. My order was ready very quick, I picked it up and received 15% by paying cash. I got home and opened it up. Everything looked and smelt great!! Good size portions, fresh vegetables, virtually no grease, and WOW does the food taste amazing! I recommend Wok With Dave to everyone. I can't believe I have over looked the little unassuming store front for this long. My new favorite!
I'm Chinese and have eaten my share of Chinese food...good, bad and nasty. I must say i am impressed with the food from here. The food is fresh, tasty and not greasy at all. I'm vegetarian and don't like msg...when i ordered, Dave was very accomodating to my specific requirements. Seemed like a genuinely nice fella.
I will definately be ordering all my Chinese take out from here from now on! Highly recommended!!!
My husband and I wanted Chinese for supper and wanted to try a new place. We saw how highly rated and reviewed Dave's is so we thought what the heck. Well we were not disappointed!! It was delicious! Not greasy tasting like usual Chinese food and I for once didn't get sick after eating it. We will order here again for sure. We ordered dinner for two and I enjoyed the pineapple sauce rather than then the red sweet and sour sauce that everyone has. Everything was tasty

Me and my friends were looking for some good Chinese so we went on urban spoon and found wok with Dave. When were going there we thought it was a restaurant we soon realized it wasn't when we walked in. Dave was very understanding and told us to sit down in the waiting are and pull up a seat to the table. We ordered dumplings, salt & pepper squid, special fried rice and ginger beef they were all very good and although it was a awkward eat we all agreed that it was the best Chinese food experience we had ever had. Dave was very nice and gave us exceptional service he even gave us free drinks while eating there. We all highly recommend wok with Dave for dellivery but to not go there if your expecting a sit down dinner. Thankyou Dave!!!!!!!!
Great Food. I have ordered from Dave's on many occasions. His food is consistently good. Just ordered takeout on Mar 13 and wanted something that was not on the menu (this time zucchini and beef in black pepper sauce) and if he can he will make it for me if not, he always has an alternative suggestion which is just as good. I will always continue to order my takeout chinese from him. He has not disappointed me since we moved here over 10 years ago.
Great place! very good, non-greasy food and excellent value. One can have a dinner for two for $15. My favourite is number 34, chicken and veggies in black bean sauce - fresh veg, real chicken, makes two dinners at $10 with a portion of rice. Very friendly gentlemen work there too. Definitely a local gem!
We used to live in Ranchlands and ordered from Dave's regularly. We moved out of the area, but still drive back for this Chinese food...there simply is no other good Chinese in the NW!
Don. I have been eating food from Dave for 25 years and it has always been excellent. For the last few years it has been takeout but I would drive clear accross the city for his food and Dave is a great guy too.

As a family of 4, we order the meal for 3, deep fried wontons and an extra wonton soup. We get 2 good size meals out of it!
The ginger beef is amazing along with the sweet and sour pork. Both are well sauced and very flavorful.
The wontons are huge and meaty and the soup is full of them. Equally delicious deep fried!
The dumplings are easily the best in the city!
Order for the first time last night, got the dinner for four and added Chow Mein. The Best Ginger Beef I have ever had, it wasn't sopping in sauce to make it all soggy! The sweet and sour pork was perfectly breaded and perfectly sauced as well. The Won Ton soup dumplings are incredibly tasty, could use a bit more broth though for Four people. Otherwise, all in all, excellent portions for the price you pay!
Only downside is that they do not have their own delivery service, I ordered through SKIP. I would have much rather pay their in house driver. :)
We love Wok With Dave so much. Their ginger beer is hands down the best I've ever had. They went above and beyond on NYE to make sure we got the food we waited a bit too late to order, without over-promising, and I think there even stayed open late that night so we could get food. They've always been so kind and accommodating to us! The food is reasonably priced for huge portions, and it's always hot and fresh. I'm pretty sure it's just a mom and pop place, and they always seem grateful for our business. We don't go anywhere else now, despite there being 5-10 other Chinese food places within 10 minutes of our house.

First Chinese food place I have tried since moving from BC. Food was great, not greasy and the dinner for 4 was so much food. They even threw in some dumplings! Happy to find similar chow mein to BC too :) ginger beef was so good. All of it was good!
Obviously, I ordered way too much food for two people, but let me tell you these will be leftovers that I am excited to eat the next day. Supporting local businesses during these difficult economic times is easy when the quality and flavour of the food being prepared is so high. Definitely try the ginger fried chicken (if you are like my friend and don't eat beef this is a great alternative). Everything was piping hot and ready when I walked in for my pickup. I will definitely go back again. Check out Wok With Dave - you will be glad that you did!
The storefront isn't going to win any awards, to be honest it's actually pretty rough looking, there isn't a restaurant to speak of but what is there is not pretty. To judge the restaurant from its frontage would be a mistake though because the food is excellent. Dave offers a wide variety of different Chinese cuisine but I'm a huge fan of his chicken wings. Conveniently when asked Dave is also able to provide gluten free on request.
Food is always fast, hot and fresh, the portions are generous. Ordering take out is your best bet. They deliver but that can be tricky due to how busy they get during evening hours. If you can pick up though you'll be in for a treat. Highly recommended in the NW

The food is fresh, delicious and big portion. The price is just like another Chinese restaurant.
Last time when I went to pick up my order I talked a little bit with the lady. She's the owner and she was very nice.

Very consistently excellent Chinese food 🙂 and you get more than you pay for here the servings are incredibly large.
Love their food for 11 years. Two large containers of Wor Wonton soup for $11, great prices. Always made fresh.
