Top 3 best pho in Calgary imo. I finished my bowl pretty quick, i come here at least once a month. Too bad it's so far away. I feel it tastes better than it's location in royal oak.
There is so much great Pho in this town, but I was reminded why I keep coming back to this little restaurant on 17th S.E. I ordered Pho with beef and brisket. The portioning was perfect, the broth - delicious - and the beef was properly rare and cooked in the broth. The brisket was shaved razor thin complete with fat - this was especially delicious. The typical accompaniment of spring rolls and bean sprouts were very fresh. The tea was delicious and there is Shaw Go Wifi which go hand-in-and perfectly for writing reviews like this. Staff is quiet, polite, and friendly. I'll keep coming back, for sure.
This place has the best satay broth in the city. It's very peanuty (with little crushed peanut bits in the bottom) and savoury, so delicious! We drive all the way from the deep south to come here for the satay pho. Order #15 with satay broth, you won't be disappointed. They serve pandan jasmine tea which I've never had anywhere else. It's very refreshing. Spring rolls have some taro in it which gives it an interesting but very good flavour. Vermicelli bowls are tasty as well. But definitely ask for satay broth if you like savoury, spicy pho!
Best pho on 17ave!. I really love the broth of the pho. Really tasty. Noodles are really good too. The place was really clean. I recommend it to anyone. But i don't really have anything to complain about. I remember eating here when i was young and it is still good today.
I went to grab a late lunch after school with a few friends and one of my buddy's recommended pho hoan restaurant
than our regular pho destination
( pho 26 ). I normally don't like changes and was really against going here, but to my shock it was surprisingly good and different. I ordered the beef sate and my taste buds were jumping ! The broth was spicy, sweet and rich and the combination of the little bits of peanuts to add a crunch was a bonus to my taste buds ! My friends ordered normal pho and was satisfied with their meal but they couldn't keep their spoons out of my bowl ! If you are around 17th ave, you have to try this beef sate they offer here, it's fantastic.
Awesome Lunch!. I'm surprised when I came here and saw the negative reviews. My experience at Pho Hoan was very good. I ordered pho and the broth was very good and flavourful and they really gave you a lot for what you pay. And my boyfriend ordered a vermicelli bowl which he chowed down on and loved. The restaurant was clean and service was also good. Definitely coming back!
Me and my husband and kids go here weekly! We love everything about this place and we have been going here for years. We have lived all over the city and tried numerous places. This is by far the best pho. Love the service they are excellent with kids. Everything is good there but the pho is amazing. You have to try this place.
Cheap and good.. One of the best Pho Places in Calgary. A must Try.

A+ Vermicelli. I always get a vermicelli bowl and some salad/spring rolls. I have never been disappointed at the freshness or quality of the ingredients. The fish sauce is sweet and tangy as it should be, the peanut sauce is also great. I eat here often, you should too! :)
Noodle bowls are fantastic, pho is tasty, food served very quickly, always a table available (even in middle of lunch rush).
Love love love. Best Pho in Calgary. Restaurant is very spacious and clean. Soup is extremely flavourful and staff is very attentive and nice. Definitely will be back.
The pho tastes really fresh and flavorful. I can't think of any other nammer place in the city as good as this one.
Probably my new favourite pho in Calgary.
Delicious. Millions of Vietnamese places in Calgary but this is one of the few that stands out. I tried their special hot and sour seafood pho, just because lately I try something else beside the super spicy pho sate that I love.
The soup was excellent. The hot sauce on the table made me cry, it wasn't your regular watered down vinegary stuff you get in some Vietnamese places. The interior was surprisingly welcoming and clean.
There are two great pho places on 17 SE and this is one of them.
Fav pho place!. This is by far my favorite pho place, service is friendly and the soup is perfect. Definitely recommend!
Discretely Infamous. When you walk into a Vietnamese restaurant, before you've even seen a menu, one sure fire give away that the food is good is whether or not the place is filled with Vietnamese people. Not to say that my fellow Caucasian counterparts can't appreciate a good bowl of pho, but nobody knows good Vietnamese food like Vietnamese people. It's as simple as that. Such is the case for Pho Hoan, a modest family owned Vietnamese restaurant on 17th Ave SE. You may not have heard of it, but believe me, it is notorious amongst the Vietnamese community and boasts one of the most savoury and perfect bowls of pho in the city. Although the rest of their menu leaves much to be desired, if great pho is what you're looking for, than Pho Hoan is the place for you!
