Best quality Nigiri and Maki sushi in town for all you can eat. Very friendly staff. Food can take a while sometimes as they are usually busy. I bring a newspaper.
The food was probably the best we've had at an all you can eat Asian cuisine. It came out surprisingly fast and the staff were great too! The whole atmosphere was very comfortable and we will definitely be back there! Very much recommended.
Make sure you make reservations. This place has such good sashimi portions! love love it. It tastes so fresh. The price is reasonable and the staff is extremely friendly.

We come her pretty often, and it’s honestly one of the best AYCE sushi places in Calgary. The price is just slightly higher then other ones, but the quality, section, service and flavour is the best we’ve had here. My only complaint was we were there 3 nights ago and finally decided to try the deluxe menu which is $36 a person. Everything was delicious and I was very excited for the king crab legs. The crab legs were kind of soggy and had no flavour to speak of. Other then that, we love coming here.
I think this place is top 5 for me when it comes to sushi. Besides it being busy and loud all the time, this food never fails to impress me. If you go here for lunch it's definitely worth the price, I like all the food options on the menu except the soup. The soup is served at room temperature and doesn't taste as good. Also what I've noticed is that they're super fast with your 1st round of orders and then they gradually get slower with your 2nd and 3rd rounds. I've learned to order everything on the 1st round because I get full waiting.
Good value for what you get! the sushi is good, and all you can eat pricing at lunch time is pretty good. The inside of the restaurant is really nice, the staff was quick and efficient. Would go back again for sure.
The food at the restaurant is delicious. The inside of the restaurant looks alright and they are able to accommodate large groups of people. The staff are friendly and nice. The cuisine is Japanese and there is an all you can eat. The price is reasonable and the all you can eat menu has different types of soups, udons and sushi to enjoy. The restaurant is very loud during the evening. The service is alright and overall, a nice experience.
Decided to try this place out on Easter Sunday and it wasn't too busy. Went with the deluxe AYCE menu. Everything we ordered from the seaweed salad to the many orders of crab legs to the lamb skewers showed up super quick and they only messed up on an order of surf clams which they promptly fixed. The snow crab legs were tasty and not overcooked and a good size. Sashimi was fresh and decent size cept the tuna was a bit thin (but hey it's AYCE so we just ordered more). All in all it was good experience and I would definitely come back.
Hands down my fav AYCE sushi restaurant in Calgary! Best bang for your buck for the variety of sashimi and rolls. I'm also a big fan of the creamy udon. The only thing is it's a hassle to get there with it being so far South from us.
An over-all welcoming atmosphere with great visuals. Costomer sevrice is wonderful and the food is great! I will definitely come back again and again. With the wide menue you can get something new every time you visit, or stick to old favorites!
Green tea icecream is realy good by the way... :)
The no #1 all you can eat sushi in Calgary! I would give it a 5 star but it was a bit salty for some of the dishes! But why am I complaining it's all you can eat after all. The selection is huge!
Good all you can eat sushi! Good variety and tasty sushi (: Will be checking it out again. I enjoyed the tuna and salmon sashimi the most..
It's great to be able to eat as many takoyakis and har-gao dumplings as you want! (They cost $6 per 4 pieces at other places).
The soups were either room temperature or luke warm. Siu Mai came out hard and cold. Like rubber. Takoyakis were good. Anything BC was nasty. Too crunchy, hard, and salty. I prefer grilled crispy salmon skin. Not deep fried in batter.
Service was wack. Kept giving our tables WRONG orders. When we addressed it, they made it seem like we were making it up to avoid spoilage fees. We had to show them the paper with no eraser marks to prove we never ordered the item. The chinese guy who always wears cardigan sweaters wanted to charge us $7 per plate. CAREFUL WHAT YOU ORDER.
Hands down the best all you can eat sushi in Alberta, selection is great food is fast. It taste more fresh than most all you can eat sushi. If you are giving stars as a regular Japanese restaurant it's a 3.5 but this is a all you can eat. How often can you get toro in one price. Well I'm pretty stuffed and I can only eat sushi once or twice a month max.
It's by far the best all you can eat sushi place in yyc. The price is acceptable roughly $30, and they have quite a bit of variety of sushi. I've always went for the deluxe menu. I love beef, salmon and tuna tataki. It's definitely worth it. As sushi is usually expensive and not filling if you are looking for decent/good quality sushi. The sushi here has quality comparable to Kinjo. You save money, you come out full and satisfied. What else is there to ask for? A haven for people that love to eat a lot. Eat your moneys worth. I do not order much of the special rolls as they seem to cheap out on the fish and try to use sauce to compensate. Overall, it's nicely furnished and food is great for an all you can eat sushi. #1 all you can eat sushi in my books so far.
This place is pretty good! All you can eat. It is deceiving on the outside as you think it is a little restaurant but it is actually a huuuge space inside. Booths tables and a lot of staff busily buzzing around like worker bees.
The staff is important because something to note was that during this visit, we didn't wait long for our food. The all you can eat comes in two prices as you can opt for the deluxe that features some of their premium items which I think is worth it.
The portions are small but that is good for buffet addicts like me that want to pay for selection and variety rather than solid big portions.
I'd go back again.
Highly recommend this place for the price you pay. The quality of the food is pretty good comparing the AYCE restaurants in the south of Calgary.
There is a wide variety of items that are unique such as the red coral roll that includes kimchi, and the spicy miso soup.
I really enjoyed the eggplant tempura.
The service was decent and we got all the food we ordered.
My family & I came for dinner on a Saturday day evening , 2 hours before closing. The place with busy still. Jojo was our serving and she was extremely kind and took time explaining to us about how to order. The food came quick and was delious! They're fish was fresh and the rolls were good.
Compare to the all you can eat back in Edmonton, this place was awesome! Will come back again next time I'm in town!
Top Shelf!
Great all you can eat sushi in Calgary! The service was the best I have received at a sushi restaurant! Fion was our server, she was helpful and very cheerful. I will be back again!
Heard good things so we had to check it out. Food all tasted great and compared to other all you can eat sushi places, the price was fair. We came right at 5pm when they had just opened so it was definitely less busy. Our waitress, Fion, was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
Personally, I love this place, but that's because I don't expect a restaurant environment. I think it's really great for an all you can eat sushi restaurant because the sushi is quite fresh, food is plentiful and because they have a very diverse menu. I really liked their cooked food options; many all you can eats don't have much outside of sushi.
I also like that they have some interesting sushi rolls on their own regular menu. If you're looking for a better experience (sashimi, tataki, baked oysters, etc), the deluxe menu is worth it. They also periodically have specials, which are really economical (eg. Order Japanese beer and get 2 raw oysters free).
All in all, my favorite neighborhood ayce Sushi place.
Ambience is dim and quite fancy! Service is friendly. First part of the food came fast then closer to the end of our meal was slower. Lots of interesting variety and options. Sashimi is thinner and smaller than the usual though.
I had a great experience there. The food was fresh, the portions were big, and It's the only all you can eat sushi that I've found that has ikura (salmon caviar) Will return for sure!
Was craving some AYCE sushi and found this place offers just that. Clean and well laid out interior. Loads bigger inside than the exterior would suggest. We were seated right away in the AYCE section, at a nice large table, for 2. The lunch menu was $17.99 and had enough options to make it worth while. The ordering system was easy to do and the pickup of the order slip was prompt. The food came out quickly after each round of ordering and was what you could expect for a quick turnaround in an All You Can Eat setting. Sushi was small as would be expected, but just order more to avoid waste. They also had a promotion, where if you purchase a Japanese beer you get 2 free oysters. I will definitely be coming back to Oishi for AYCE!
First impression of Oishii Sushi was quite average. Despite above average food quality what made really stopped dinner from being an excellent was the inconsistent food temperature and arduous wait times. Our miso and udon soups were lukewarm at best, and our chicken and beef teriyakis also came from the kitchen cold. Food portions were also mind-numbingly small but being an AYCE its not that big of an issue. Restaurant and Bathrooms are very clean however. Make sure you order consistently or you will find yourself waiting for a while to get just about anything! All in all one of the better AYCEs in Calgary!
I usually avoid all you can at places for one I usually eat way too much & feel terrible for hours & two the food is usually not that impressive. My wife & her friend wanted to come so I went trying not to be a food snob. They have two menu you can order off if I remember right one is around $26 & too order of booth was $35 do not quote me was pretty tipsy after I was done lol. All the food was good but only thing that stood out for me was the spicy chicken Udon soup it was delicious. All in all food was not bad but no where the great by any means. Also the crab sashimi & sushi is fake crab its actually pollock.
Calgary is notorious for terrible all-you-can-eat sushi, but this place actually shows some semblance of quality!
The service is prompt and the dishes served don't look like rushed tiny portions of mediocrity.
Ordering food is a hassle though, since they have no way of checking off items you basically have to write your own list and hope they don't forget. The decor is very modern thanks to the restaurant being new.
All in all, a good dining experience without costing too much!
I’ve wanted to check Oishii out for a long time. While I normally avoid all-you-can-eat restaurants, I couldn’t resist. My friend Leng Lui has gone ten times in the last two months and she raves about the food.
Really good all you can eat, surprisingly dead on Tuesday evening, Portions are pretty decent for all you can eat as well since you can order more. One suggestion would be for re-ordering is to have a check list or something instead of a sticky post-it note, it gets confusing.
Worth a try and would come back
Came here a few weeks ago with family. Definitely the best all you can eat in calgary. Good variety. Fresh fish. Portions are small but it is all u can eat. Server was very friendly. Place is super clean. Only thing is u have to order on a post it note as they dont have ordering sheets. But would come again
I went there for dinner with my family on a weekday. We ordered the Deluxe AYCE menu, which include 2 items pick from the chef's appreciation gifts menu per person, we ordered D15, D16, D17 as these are the only one available, the fish is fresh, but we're quite disappointed on how small the pieces are (it is 1/4 of the size of a regular piece sashimi eat elsewhere, the it was listed for $3.75 per piece which i think it's ridiculous.)
The Alaska snow crab from the deluxe menu taste awful. The regular sashimi is pretty fresh, but again, the piece are too small. However, all the sushi roll are huge, therefore with one sushi roll, you are full, and can't try much more from the menu. It would be nice if they can make the sushi roll smaller for AYCE menu.
I would say that this is the best all you can eat sushi in calgary that I have tried. There is a huge selection of items and it is quite similar to shibuya. The quality is pretty good as well. The staff is friendly and I will definitely come back. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for an all you can eat sushi place.
I don't usually like "all you can eat sushi places" due to the compromised quality for quantity that you'd get. We visited this all you can eat restaurant last weekend for a family gathering. Compared to other "all you can eat" sushi place that I've been, I would say this place has met quality. Although food came very slow, the service definitely had balanced it out. For sure will return.
Was here with a friend today for an early dinner and what a gem this place is. We both got the 18.99 all you can eat, and it was top notch. The sushi was very fresh and made to order. The freshest tasting and best looking all you can eat I have been to. The Menu has all you want and more including some dimsum which is also very fresh. The decor is great for a date night or a friendly get together. Service is fast and very friendly. You might even fall in love if you're not careful.
Pricing is a little high but food was delicious. Sort of wish portions were smaller so we could get more variety because it is all you can eat . Oysters were amazing! And lobster roll was pretty decent. Quality is awesome compared to other all you can eat sushi restaurants out there.
This AYCE spot is by far the best in Calgary. There are no other places where you can order unlimited beef tataki, takoyaki, special rolls and more. The items are fresh and tasty which is great about this AYCE as most locations quality of food is not good. The only downside is the service and the long wait for food. (this is inconsistent as it can be fast at times too) it's worth going to and trying for sure as a AYCE restaurant.
For AYCE, this place would be my top choice in Calgary. However, they need to approve on their customer service. They tend to ignore customers at the door, waiting to be seated. Also, there is this one server (skinny Chinese girl with bad posture), who I absolutely despise. Every time I go to Oishii and I see her working... It makes me not want to eat here. She is rude to particular customers, behaves very unprofessionally in an unfriendly manner, and is inattentive.
My go to AYCE Sushi. I've heard about service being slow but I've never really had a problem with service when I go, it was always on point. Probably the only ayce that has takoyaki (not authentic of course but good enough). Try the dumplings and salmon teriyaki 👌! I'm giving a rate of 4 because I do notice that the quality has gone down a bit compared to when it first opened (but then again, in general ayce sushi was always like that lol). But do give this place a try! :)
After Spending a weekend in Vancouver and eating at 8 different Sushi places there, I can say that Oishii Sushi is in my top 20 Sushi places. And in my top 5 for just Calgary itself.
Looking at the prices Per roll, I did not know what to expect, I had an idea the prices were going to be indicative of either amazing flavor, or large rolls, happily I was surprised with both. 24 individual rolls was more than enough to fill myself, and my work friend up for lunch, to the point where dinner was pushed back by an hour, because I was still feeling full.
The interior was tastefully done, and well kept, which is not much to say, for a rather new restaurant, so only time will tell if they keep up appearances.
The Sauce on their Mango roll was a little overwhelming, compared to other places, otherwise they would have gotten a 4.5. Other than that, I tried their spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and California. All of which were excellent. Love the fact that they are using whole slices of fish, instead of cutting around the fat, something I haven't seen in most other places outside of Vancouver.
We came around 7ish on a Sunday night and waited for an hour. The restaurant was nice and spacious.
We had the Deluxe menu and there was a good selection of food to pick from. You were allowed to order two items from the chefs appreciation gift. The Ahi Tuna was kind of chewy. The beef, salmon and tuna tatakis were all good. The beef was definitely the best! One order of the tataki was quite small. The size of the sushi was decent but the sashimi was thin but fresh. Ended the dinner with some green tea ice cream!
The waitress was nice but the overall service was slow, as expected.
Would come back again for all you can eat sushi, but wouldn't order any rolls.
We went here recently and it was pretty good overall. The space is much bigger than expected and is decorated tastefully and minimally.
We did the all you can eat. They have a pretty solid selection of things to try. They usually try and limit you to 10 items per person per order. This isn't too much of a problem if you just order again next time they bring your first item though I can see this being tiring. We only really got notified we were over once of our 3 orders and took an item off. No biggie. They also seem to have a time limit of 2 or 3 hours. I assume they have had people abusing their all you can eat? who knows.
The sushi is pretty good. Nothing to write home about but fair for an all you can eat. They have a premium order menu which is pretty aggressively priced. I don't know if I can see anyone ordering from that menu. Our first order was out in about 5 minutes. I literally have never received sushi that fast before. They also have a premium all you can eat that is a fair bit more and item on it don't seem that much better. Nothing to complain about on any of our items, they were all pretty well made, good sizes and fish was of decent quality.
We would go again as they also do normal dine in without all you can eat. They are very close to us so it makes it convenient. Calgary seems to have AYCE's coming and going yearly, so who knows how long this will last.
This new all-you-can-eat sushi place is really good!! I highly recommend this place whether you're having a big birthday party or just a date. The sashimi is really fresh and the tempura and soups are also really good. My all time favorite is their creamy yaki udon!
I was very impressed with the atmosphere of this restaurant . The food is very good - i tryed the " all you can eat " menu - great variety of foods to try . The staff was very welcoming , restaurant very spacious . My only negative comment is that some of the portions for the all you can eat are larger than the rest - which is a good thing however you will be charged for any waste ( the edamame is a larger bowl as well as the ginger beef - potions not consistent with the rest ) definetly try this place if you haven't already !
Fast seating if you have 4 or under with no reservations, good quality fish I'm guessing did not get anything suspicious smelling or tasting so that's a huge step up as to most places. Good sake selection, reasonable prices for what you get. The takoyaki is amazing and try the oishii roll!
This place was actually better than I thought it was going to be. The restaurant is quite spacious with very welcoming decor. They have a variety of options on their menu which will satisfy sushi lovers, as well as those who can't stomach raw fish. The service was great and our food came out extremely fast considering how full the restaurant was. Among other items on the menu, I really enjoyed he crispy wontons, mango roll, and creamy udon. Leave some room for dessert, you'll get a gracious helping of ice cream. A word of advice, if you're planning on coming some time from Friday-Sunday you will want to make a reservation. All in all, this place is worth a try if you're looking for an all you can eat sushi restaurant.
After seeing the subpar reviews on here, we decided to give it a try. First, this place is rather pricey, especially with the deluxe all you can eat menu. With that being said, I found the food here much better than other all you can eat sushi places in Calgary. The fish was fresh, and the few rolls we ordered were not stuffed with extra rice. The beef tataki was great, and overall I'd recommend the deluxe menu because of it and perhaps the lobster roll as well. Takoyaki was great and had a big piece of octopus in it unlike other places where it's just tiny. I'd come back again for sure
Superb sushi rolls. Great service! Reasonable price! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
We had a Sunday lunch there, a table for 3 families (with kids). It's a pretty new restaurant. We heard bad reviews about the food there, but we decided to give it a try mainly due to its $17.99 all-you-can-eat and partly because some friends were willing to visit again so it shouldn't be too bad.
Upon entrance, I'd say it's a pretty big restaurant; it had an elegant, open kitchen and the environment was nicely done. It gave me a feeling of a hotel restaurant.
The sushi were OK, with some surprise on the rainbow rolls and some kind of spicy, creamy hand cones (maybe they were chopped scallop, but I wasn't sure, since I wasn't the one ordering). I liked the tonkatsu udon; the tonkatsu would be better if it were thicker but the udon was really good (silky smooth and chewy). There were some rolls with mango sauce and the sauce was refreshing and tasty.
It was a bit weird to see dim sum on the menu, they tasted OK.
For dessert, they had matcha/green tea, vanilla, or strawberry ice-cream. I really like their green tea ice-cream, rich green tea flavour (liked it so much that I ordered a second one).
A side note, quite a number of tables have kids when we were there, well including our table too. The restaurant is pretty big and I considered it to be kid-friendly, to dinner extend.
I give it 4.0 with the expectation of a $17.99 all-you-can-eat price tag in mind.
Great food! Give this place a try...you won't regret it.
You might think that 'all you can eat sushi' would lack in quality, but not at all. The food is amazing. Spend the extra $5 for the deluxe option, which opens up the more gourmet dishes like crab legs and tataki (tuna, salmon and steak).
I come for the excellent all you can eat sushi, but I stay for the all you can eat crab legs and beef wrapped mushrooms... Best meal I've had in a while not to mention the best sushi experience I've ever had.
Typically not really a fan of AYCE places but came here a couple times now. Location is a bit far from where I live but depending on your mood, it could be worth the drive lol.
The service varies. A friend of ours called in to have a table reserved for 3, and was told minimum party had to be 4 people. I called in to reserve for a table of 4 and was told minimum party had to be 5 people LOL. A little inconsistent?
However, the service after being seated was great. Server was informative of how the regular vs deluxe menu works and would come to check up on our table and if we've received all of the items ordered. She also let us know about the complimentary items at the back of the deluxe menu if we were to choose the deluxe menu... mmmm hamachi sashimi ^_^
Food wise, if you're debating between the regular or the deluxe menu, there is a 5$ difference I believe. We always go deluxe because the beef tataki. Probably the best beef tataki I've ever eaten from an AYCE sushi place. Other than the beef tataki and the complimentary 2 peice toro/hamachi sashimi, I don't really see any other reason to go deluxe.
Quality of the sushi was good, and the environment is good. It can get very busy (that's expected for an All you can eat place) and the service is okay. The taste of the cooked food was good (especially the oysters) and the sashimi was fresh. Some dishes came out very fast, others came when we're almost finishing up. I don't like how they have two buffet menus, one is the regular one and the other one is the deluxe (you can order a few more dishes if you add $5). Other sushi places offer the dishes from the deluxe menu for the price of the regular one.
I've been hearing so much about Oishii and finally got to try it with my family. We arrived by 7pm on a Sunday night and it was busy but still had open tables.
We were seated on the comfy booths. The decor and layout immediately reminded me of Kinjo in Dalhousie.
Looking at the menu, they have 2 options for AYCE (all you can eat) but the entire table has to decide on one option. The option is for the deluxe $32.99 or the regular $28.99. I saw the AYCE Alaskan king crab and baked oysters and knew I wanted the deluxe menu.
The food is great for AYCE. They don't stuff the rolls or sushi with extra rice to purposely fill you up. Good selection of cooked dishes. Pop is unlimited refills.
The service was great. I do feel they need a better system of ordering food rather than a notepad and pen for the customers to write what they want. Several times we were offered dishes we didn't order and had to send it back. Overall, the price is worth it for AYCE.
I LOVEEEEE THIS PLACE, it is delicious!! For about $18, all you can eat lunch is amazing!! You pretty much get everything they offer on the dinner menu, with the exception of the deluxe choices (which by the way is worth it if you like crab and tataki). The service is fantastic. Food came out super quick and steaming hot. My favourite AYCE, honestly no point in going to any other ones.
Most of the AYCE sushi places in Calgary are just mediocre. There's always a lack in service, or quality of the food.Oishii by far has been my favorite place so far. Their restaurant interior is gorgeous and clean, staff is attentive and actually knows answers to your questions. The quality of the food is excellent as well! I would definitely recommend this place!
This place is so nice!! Decor is modern and it's huge! The service was super friendly; they are there when you need them but not always in your face. The food came out piping hot and fast. It is $27.99 for the "regular" ayce and $32.99 for the "deluxe" ayce but I think for $5 more the deluxe is so worth it. The deluxe includes "premium" sashimi choices, Alaskan crab, a selection of tatakis... and baked oysters! They have a huge selection of Japanese cuisine and the portions are perfect. Would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone!
