Aug 17, 2022. I ordered the house special soup. It came quick, was very hot and absolutely delicious. The soup was packed full of noodles, meat, and veggies (Enough for my lunch tomorrow too). The staff was very friendly and had excellent customer service. I'll be back :).

Hitting The Sauce
I have to make a disclaimer about Lunch Today as my friend Leng Lui is a pho snob. Her partner is Vietnamese and she often goes for *authentic* pho. I’ll be honest and say I’m not sure I ever ate *authentic* pho. I only care if it taste good. Office Daddy takes me to his favourite downtown pho joint, Lunch Today. While I know it is not *authentic* pho, I love it for what it is – a clean broth I can drink that isn’t laden with salt and filled with oodles of noodles and meat.

My buddy AC took me to Lunch Today, a Vietnamese restaurant near the 7 ST C-train stop. I wished he introduced me to this gem earlier. Lunch Today serves up the best value Vietnamese food in the downtown core. The food is fresh and delicious. To find this restaurant, go to 736 6th Ave SW. Go up a flight of stairs and you will find Lunch Today. If you go around noon, you'll see a long line-up. AC knows the owners Jenny and Raymond, a very sweet couple. The owners are extremely efficient and fast, so the line moves quickly.

Pure MSG and not fresh. Went there for lunch, the soup is not authentic and full of MSG.

Dissappointing. Good service, the food came out very fast. I ordered the special (Pork Egg Noodle Soup), which was just noodles in broth with a lot of pork on the top, that looked possibly tinned. It also came with some broccoli and a small cilantro garnish. It lacked Vietnamese flavour - it would have been better with some fresh herbs and vegetables.

Great food. I go here at least 3 times a week to get the soups.<br/>Let me tell you, I have the hardest time opening the lid because they load it full of soup. <br/>The soup is 25% liquid 75% solid. A strong filling meal!
