It's a relatively new addition to the Chinatown dining scene. The restaurant offers three different types of cuisine to choose from: Chinese, Malaysian and Indian. Food is fresh and tasty across all of them. I really enjoy the Indian curries, excellent spices, and tender meat. They now also have prime rib at dinner that's flavourful and cooked to medium rare, just how I like it. It's awesome value at less than $25/person. If buffet isn't your thing you can also order off of their menu. We had a lot of family visiting from out of town for a wedding and ordered à la carte. The Malaysian beef stew was fantastic! Service is excellent: drinks are refilled quickly, servers are friendly and remember you, and staff lets you know when new dishes are to be brought out so you can wait for the fresh stuff. Lots to choose from, of course less so from the Chinese options, if you are gluten-free.
Had the buffet lunch today at $13.99. Didn't know soda is included in price till reading another review below. Overall, it was good. Only had the Chinese food but will return to try the curries. The hostess said on the weekends, they also have dim sum items. Have to check that out too. Nice addition to Chinatown. Hope it does well.
***closed but replaced with another chinese resturant ***** No longer a buffet resturant......It's still there though******** dinner buffett much better than lunch buffet.... nice friendly service.. satays were my favorite******Chinese malasian indian buffet. Shangri la replaces cultural centre resturant. I miss the dim sum lunch buffett they had here. Not sure I m loving the identity crisis eatery. There were some nice dishes. There were some dismal dishes. The gai lan and cha sui were great. The gai gow also very good. The manager Stephen told me that they have a Malaysian chef.. Indian chef... chinese chef. Pretty sure the Naan was from costco.... no way they made those from scratch. The butter chicken was ok to goid.. it was kinda sweet tho. Not sure where sauages... bacon and onion rings fall under. The service was pretty good to awkward. The ladies were smiley and friendly. But the manager was just awkward. If you're going to ask how everything is be prepared to respond other answers other fine or ok. The fried dishes were steamed to death. I wouldn't go out of my way to get here but I'd try it again just the items I did like.
Went there for dinner and the food was amazingly good!! It had a lot of variety including Indian, Malaysian and Chinese food. The butter chicken was amazing and the Malaysian laksa soup was soo good! And the service was really friendly! Awesome place! Definetley would go back.
