Marcello's AMEC Place

I used to buy lunch in this place before and the food was delicious. However, recently their food sucks especially their lunch buffet - the food they serve are almost the same every time and taste like awkward.  Like their chicken used to be tender but now so so so dry and their vegetables were overcooked and there's no much variety anymore. I hope that the management will do something about it.

So now I only go there to buy in their Deli section - where you can choose your own veggie in your sub or wrap - the veggies look newer and fresh. And I would like to give two thumbs up to the guy working in that deli because he was so approachable, patient and he always smiles to the customers even though he has a long line up. Their wraps are the best especially the Southwest Chicken and Thai Chicken wrap.

from my understanding, ownership of this Marcello's has changed in the last year. I've heard from colleagues that this location was  a sure way to get food poisoning a year ago. THIS IS NOT THE CASE ANYMORE. It has new owners - a family who shares a number of the Marcello locations.I do believe its still a little stigmatized because its always empty, but I'm here almost daily for breakfast and every so often for lunch and trust me, the food is delicious. The service can sometimes be a little slow because they only have the one small cooking station for eggs (if you're looking for a breakfast sandwich instead of their buffet) but most days it goes fast. The best part - you can get almost anything your little taste buds desire as they are great with customization. I really love the endless options for both breakfast and lunch. They have fresh fruit, yogurt, yogurt parfaits, sandwiches, wraps, hot meals, salads, salad buffets, hot buffets, breakfast buffets, assorted protein bars/ health food bars, pressed juices, pop's, flavored waters/soda waters. Honestly, almost everything! much better than silly old Tim Horton's, so if you're hesitant because of past rumors... go on in and give it a whirl. You wont regret it :)

The Marcello's in AMEC Place is incredible and so are all of their staff! I'm so happy to finally have a good lunch option around my workplace! I eat there almost everyday and I've never been disappointed. The selection is great and everything is always so fresh. I've been to one of the other Marcello's.. I think it was in Canterra Tower and I wasn't too impressed. You can really see that Marcello's AMEC takes a lot more time in the flavor and presentation of their items.

Yummy in my Tummy. My colleagues and i gladly walk 8 blocks to this place via +15 several times a month. they have a massive (and affordable) salad bar, as well as an even bigger hot table selection. this is, of course, in addition to dozens of varieties of wraps, pre-made sandwiches and salads, as well as a plethora of washed and cut fruit and veggies. plenty of soups and chillis (including vegetarian options!) and the, i mean THE BEST cheese buns! mmm! their food is amazing and their beef stroganoff and turkey casserole are to die for! and if you're a pickle fan, they have these giant crunchy delicious pickles just for you.... *salivating*

compared to other lunch joints, this place is always insanely busy and consistently delicious. it's a damn shame everyone who loves this place and goes often doesn't write positive reviews, but then they're probably too busy stuffing their faces as we speak lol.

for the record- never tried the coffee, so i can't speak to that.
