This place had fine coffee and dessert but really needs an asthetic upgrade. Dated decor, dark, and a confusing mix of retail products for sale. Will sometimes stop in for a coffee but def not interested in spending much time inside.

I'm a regular here for a reason. The coffee is wonderful. The food is delicious. The staff is hilarious and the whole place has a quirky vibe. I love it. The Reuben sandwich is the bomb.

Great neighbourhood cafe. Hope this cafe sticks around. After renovating the previous business of the same name, new ownership has turned this place into a more coffee-focused Euro grocer. They serve great coffee, without the pretension, from a few regional roasters.

There is a little bit of everything here. Sandwiches, deli meats, cheeses (a couple local ones), Hutterite chickens/eggs, BC apples, as well as bulk coffee beans and loose teas. The espresso beverages can't be beat at these prices, really.

Whether you're looking for lady fingers and mascarpone or a cappucino you'll be able to find something delightful--right here in Killarney.

A really cool joint with big plans. I stopped in to Francesco's for a sub on my way home from work. Service was very friendly and engaging. The bread was fresh, and they put 5 thick slices of provolone on my sub, and a big heap of meat. They let you pick any deli meat you want for your sub, and they're very generous with the sauce and toppings. Veggie selection was a little bit scarce (they were out of lettuce when I went there, but I guess that's because they buy it fresh every day), but it was a delicious, traditional Italian sub.

I talked to the girl at the counter, and apparently they're under new ownership. They're planning on turning the place into an Italian cafe. Their espresso was amazing -- I had a latte, and I can honestly say it was better than any I've ever had in Calgary. The new owner is apparently a coffee aficionado, and takes the quality of his product pretty seriously.

There were a few people playing chess in the corner, and the whole atmosphere was very inviting and authentic.

Friendly people, and good subs. I'd recommend this place to anyone -- just don't expect a corporate, stream-lined experience.
