This place is one of my most regular haunts and so I am apprehensive to give it the review that I really want to. The reason for that is that I'm afraid that if I say how wonderful this place really is, I will no longer be able to regularly get a seat. But the fact is, this place does truly deserve a much wider appreciation than it gets now. First off, the food is consistently great; The Shamrock pizza, the fries, and the Naanwich are the real standouts, but there isn't really a bad choice on the menu. Secondly, the service is always warm, genuine, and attentive. But the real appeal of this place is the atmosphere. It is a very cozy, laid back, and honest place. Everyone is welcome and nothing is taken too seriously. A truly cool vibe, great warm service, cold drinks, and memorable food. Check it out; just don't take my seat!
The food is some of the better pub food that I have had in Calgary. The service has always been good and very friendly. Great place to meet up for some wings or a couple drinks with friends.
Interesting spot. About as authentic as an Irish pub gets in this city, which is setting the bar low. The concept is dated, circa 1996. But I've spent time in the UK. There are definitely worse. People are friendly. It's ideally located. Good spot to pop in and out for a cold one on the way home
Visited Tipperary's with some friends for lunch. Its a nice venue with friendly service and decent food. Essentially, we were well looked after which allowed the eight of us to have a great wee visit. Thanks Team Tipperary!
Awesome Wing Night!. Checked the place out with a group of friends on a Wednesday night. Wings came out fast and hot. Service was terrific and the cost was good. No complaints here. Bartender was exceptional and we will be coming back to visit again. Such a great experience!
Awesome!!. Had breakfast and lunch here several times....the portions are decent, service was killer and the prices are super reasonable....what more could you ask for??
Half price appetizers. (Football game is too loud)
I thought it was great. I could watch the hockey game, play pool with friends and they have great fish and chips.
Amazing! Food was fantastic! This place must be under new management cause it's amazing now, used to be horrible but is fantastic now! Way to go!
Lunch Time Must. I live and work in the 16th ave area of Calgary and go to Tipperary's on a semi regular basis. There is one girl that works there a lot and always does a great job. I have tried a lot of different things on the menu, and have never been disappointed with the food, one of my favorites is the Fish and Chips. Since I go so much during the day I thought I would try it out last night and what a different place. It was louder, fuller and much more like a pub. The experience was completely different but just as good. Will definitely keep it on my list of places to go for lunch, and now maybe dinner.
Tipperary's, on the other hand, is an awesome deal. My friend frequently goes (not by himself of course) and just gets a water. Kind of a mean thing to do. And the wings are $0.25. And there is no obligation to buy drinks. Yup. I've had 1 beer, 1 coke, and 30 wings before. Makes for a cheap night!
