i order a slice verns special pizza and pop, less $5. it is so tasty and so full, I definitely will come back again. the pizza has all kinds meat (like pepporoni , salami.ham.). all the vegetable. ( like white onion, green pepper, pipeapple. and muchroom). i love it

Great pizza. Very meaty, not for the light eaters or people watching their weight haha. I love meat, great pizza. Had the special TREX pizza slice and pop and was full.

The only place I would order pizza. I don't like pizza in general. It is junk food to me as Hamburger and hot dogs. However, I am not a health freak. I do eat junk food once in a while if I am not the one paying for it. (If you are a health freak, DON'T eat pizza, or just make your own)
Anyway, I had this yummy super thick pizza in a potluck party long long time ago. And I didn't know who/where it was from back then. But I was totally amazed the thin crust and the topping just so thick and tasty. Not until recently one of my friend treated me with the Vern's pizza again. Then I remember how good a piece of pizza could taste like. The Chicke Teriyaki was so delicious.
I went and bought myself a small one last night on the way I met up with a group of friends. I ate one piece, and was thinking to save the rest for lunch today. Then some of my friends didn't eat supper, so I share my pizza with them. They've never heard of Vern's before, and they all love it so much. Ended up I have no more pizza for lunch. So, I decided to go back Vern's after the meeting to get myself another pizza. While I was waiting. One of my friend from the group shown up, he said he just ordered two pizzas over the phone and came to pick up. He said it was so good, one small piece from me couldn't satisfy his stomach. He can't wait any longer and wanted more right then.
This is the only place I would spend my money for pizza.
Amazing pizza for meatatarians. Vern's pizza is truly amazing, provided you like meat. Everything about this pizza is great, the dough, the sauce, the cheese, but it's really special because of the way they pile on the meat toppings. Sadly the SW location closed down, so I can only endulge when I'm near this location up in the 'hood.

Fantastic pizza mega toppings and great crust with just the right amount of sauce. Topping was close to 3/4 inch thick in places. Have tried the Pepperoni & Hawaiian both were excellent. If you like thick toppings this is the one to try
Somewhat expensive but worth the price due to how loaded their pizzas are. If you're going to choose pizza around the 20$ mark, definitely go here.
The T-Rex pizza is aptly named considering how many layers of meat there are. The cheese is probably the best quality in the SE and there's a nice thick layer. The bottom crust is nice and thin but strong enough to hold the toppings. Everything about the pizza is seriously great quality.
My Second best friend sent an Awesome pizza for my 62nd birthday . Thank you kindly for accommodating his unusual request. He knew I 'd probably have to celebrate a bit tonight. ❤
Not bad Pizza. Very thick Pizza with a lot of meat. The dry ribs was disappointing it was overcooked too dry for my taste. But the pizza flavor pretty good. Much better than other franchise Pizza Joint such as Pizza Hut Pizza 73.
The taste is still great. They have the best sauce. Not as much toppings as you used to get. Doesn't matter which location you go to, in any city, they just don't put as many toppings on as they used to. Having said that, it's still more than most other franchises, and is still good value, and still very filling.
Still my favorite pizza. In the country.
Staff are friendly, and hard working.

We were in Calgary for the day. And husband and I remember that they had Vern pizza! Of course we knew exactly what we wanted ( MOMA MIA)!!! This is like your typical house pizza BUT it a 5 POUNDS OF HEAVEN!!
You can only order 15/18 inch due to amount of toppings and YES THERE IS A LOT!! ( see pictures I posted). I and my husband really like their sauce it a little sweet not overly.
When we place the order we knew it was going to take longer than normal for it to be delivered (40 min, just to cook.) The guy over the phone was pleasant and even asked if we could use plates forks etc BONUS!! Yes when we got our food within an hour of calling ( 15 min drive) they remember the plates etc we had said yes too.
It been a few years since we have had Vern :( . But this place in Calgary never left us down! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND trying this pizza ( MOMA MIA) for anyone who is really hungry or loves house pizza. Very filling pizza and worth the cost hand down!

Fantastic as per usual! Tried the lite pizza this time and it's still a really good size and a lot of toppings. Sauce has a slight sweetness to it and we love how thin the meat is sliced.
I got the thick 18'' pizza for my colleagues and myself. It was huge and everyone was surprised how much pepperoni and ham was in it. Also it has reasonable amount of yummy vegetables. I do not recommended it though because no matter how tasty these pizzas are, processed meat (pepperoni and ham) is proven to significantly increase odds of getting cancer.
Holy MEAT!! Thanks, Mr. Vern!!! I’ll be back! At first I thought the prices were really expensive but when I see what I got for a 12 inch pizza that would feed four fully grown man no problem!
Not quite as good as I remember from high school days but still mile high pizzas. A little slim pickings for slice choices on a Saturday evening, and they weirdly had one cut into wedges and one in squares which made it super confusing to order a slice (there may have been a bit of a language issue too, but we got it figured eventually).
