I’ve been coming here for years, a lot of people complain about the $25 for a large... clearly they don’t understand a good quality pie, pizza bobs is and always will be my favourite pizza in the city, hands down. It’s never greasy, the toppings are high quality and I can eat an entire pizza and not feel like crap. Keep it up bob!

Excellent pizza, lasagna, and an awesome place to jam on Thursday nights. What a friendly place. I go there regularly!
Our family's new place for pizza. Excellent food, super friendly service. And best gluten-free anything my daughter has tried so far. I will be telling everyone about this place!
Pizzas spectacular every time! Love the no corking fee so I can bring my own wine and splurge on my pizza toppings. Super friendly staff!
Best Pie's in town!
Great service, great entertainment
I would highly recommend!

Love this place!
Always feel like family! The staff is amazing, the entertainment fun- and best of all- The Pizza! made for your liking!
I have been on the road since July 1st travelling across Canada from Toronto, my birth place, sharing my music at house concerts, yoga studios etc, while I also finish a book I am writing. Last night I went to Pizza Bob's open mic night at the invitation of Zak Keller. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I am very happy to share that is was a warm and wonderful experience. Such a rich display of very talented performers, lovely kind hearted people, and an atmosphere that was relaxed and very welcoming. ...and the Pizza was delicious (I had the smoked salmon). If you are looking for great food, great vibes and a wide cross section of music, this definitely is one of the places to go. Thanks for having me get up and play a few of my own songs Tif. I thoroughly enjoyed those who joined in with their instruments. Thanks for introducing me to Pizza Bob's Zak!!
Love the atmosphere, staff and food at Pizza Bobs.
This place is close to my heart. The staff are family to us!
La pizza es Excelente!
I have to check the open Mic on Thursdays
Great entertainment - really amazing staff and food! Great place to go any day of the week!
Pizza is great prices good. Was there last Tuesday and saw a great blues band playing. I believe they will play this Tuesday also hope to see you
Cheers
Best Friday night stop in town post Circles of Rhythm Drumming.
Thank you Bob!!!
This old school pizza joint has character. The food is good but decor may use a little work. Nice people
First time and enjoyed. Especially liked the thin crust and spicy tomato sauce. Be sure to sign up for their birthday club as you get $10 off!!
Awesome pizza! Thin crust excellence I'd say, with obvious high quality toppings. Decent beer selection too ;) The staff is warm and friendly, which is always a plus. Amazeballs!
Came here by chance as the place we were going to was closed and so happy it worked out that way. One of the best pizzas I've had in Calgary. Not flashy from the outside but very cozy with very friendly service. 10/10 would come here again.
Pizza is very good, LOVE the 100% whole grain unbleached organic flour that they use in their pizza crusts. As for ingredients on the pizza this is to each their own. Personally I'm not crazy on their pepperoni and their ground beef looks a little under cooked. That being said, we were there (several times) during YYC pizza week and the (name of the pie escapes me) pizza they made for that week was to die for, not sure why they didn't keep it on the menu. The greek salad that we had before the pizza was amazing. Being gluten intoleratant, this pizza agrees with me and I believe it's the great flour that they use in their crusts. As for the place itself? It needs a HUGE face lift. It's bad when the exterior is more inviting than the interior and they need to stop smoking in the restaurant, not sure if this is before or after the restaurant opens/closes (or when there is no one in the restaurant between customers). There hasn't been once where I haven't found cigarette ashes on the chairs or in the booth. All in all this place is a dive but the pizza makes it still worth it.
Some of the best thin crust I've had in the City. This place never disappoints.
I absolutely love Pizza Bob's! A couple friends and I try to go every Friday for Karaoke! The decor is a little on the dive bar side but the atmosphere is infectiously fun! We usually stay late into the night singing even though none of us are huge drinkers! As for the food it is AMAZING! The pizza is thin and crispy and piled high with delicious toppings! And the Caesar salad is made in house and too die for for any garlic lovers out there! The staff are always friendly in a make you feel at home sort of way and bob himself is always stopping by to say hi! To top it off the Karaoke host is hysterical and has a killer singing voice!
Great pizza!! Eat here & never settle for "restaurant-chain pizza" again! Comfortable atmosphere & friendly staff, cold beer & free corking service.
Delicious, the best pizza I have had in a long time. Homemade thin crust loaded with fresh ingredients and just the right amount of cheese & tomato sauce. What a treat from the fat laden pizzas.
Amazing pizza!! I can truly say pizza is my favourite food, and after trying this last week when I had family in town, I will be going here often. The thin crust is delicious, and I loved all the options for toppings. It has a divey feel to the bar, no car large fees and great staff! Wish I had found this sooner.
Great Pizza. Cool spot. I like the self serve a lot as when you want something, you just walk up and ask for it. No need to wait on a slow server. Pizza is some of the best in the city if you are into a thin crust and the selection of hot sauces to put on your pizza is great. My only knock on the place is that it is a little overpriced. You can save that money though by bringing your own beer or wine, and they don't charge a corkage.
A Great Spot for Vegan or GF Options!. We decided to try Pizza Bob's out this week after hearing they offered Vegan options on their menu. My husband is a meat eater and gave the Garlic Chicken Supreme a try. Flavors were good, the pie needed a little seasoning, with chili flakes, parmesan, s&p and hot sauces provided on every table this certainly wasn't a big issue! Craving a bruschetta style pizza I decided to go with a "create your own" starting with a garlic, olive oil and herb base, I added roma tomatoes, red onion and fresh garlic. I skipped the vegan cheese option this time and went without but will definitely give it a try on our next visit. Overall, tasty crust, lots of veggie / vegan options and a super casual environment. Pizzas are a little pricey for the size but good flavors and fresh ingredients are always worth a little extra in our books!
Shared 2 small pizzas and both were delicious. One was the garlic lovers and the other sausage, peppers, onion, feta & salami. Decor is neighbourhood pub and not posh. But service was friendly and fast. Will eat their pizza again for sure.
Great place for a party. We had forty people, prompt service individual pizzas, (great tasting), and fair prices for the food and beer. Highly recommend.
Amazing! Great pizza. Accommodating with dietary restrictions. Guy who answers phone is always so pleasant. We ordered before they even opened and they delivered it extreamly quickly!
Restaurant has a sort of self serve vibe, no corkage fees, great pizza, and karaoke of Friday nights. What's not to like? I just wish it were closer to home, or that we had something similar in the Deep South.
Best pizza EVER! and they even made and delivered it the night it was flooded!
Upscale Atmosphere. I started going to Pizza Bob's because they advertised gluten free crust. My wife has a gluten intolerance and she can't have dairy. They made us a gluten free pizza with cheese on only half. We had no complaints except for the price. The gluten free crust tasted the same as most others we have tried in Calgary. Probably because it's made by the same company, maybe Care Bakery or something similar. PB's has a friendly easy going atmosphere where you will find dirt-bags and young hipsters sitting side by side.
Just want to say that this is the best place for pizza outside of Naples.Being European and having travelled on numerous occasions to Italy this place equals the best Italy has to offer .I would definitely recommend Amy's favourite.staff are very friendly and a must try if you love your pizza.
One of Calgarys last hidden gems! Great atmosphere for both family and friends. The most unique and best tasting pizza in the city. Come down on a friday or sat night and watch the small intamite venue come alive with lots of live music and good times! Accolades to Pizza Bobs on a job well done!
Great corner pizza joint. So the only pizza I order in the NW comes from Pizza Bob's. The pizza is great (Anna's pizza is notably my favourite) and their specials are often creative (the smoked salmon teriyaki my mother-in-law still asks about). Their thin crust is the best I have tasted from a pizza place at this price point (which is a little more than a chain pizza place). We often order for pick-up, but have eaten at the restaurant too. Another reviewer was right, it is like a quirky pub inside, expect it has free corkage! All in all, it is a great local pizza place that competes (and in my opinion beats) chain pizza spots.
Great place.... Went here on the weekend even after reading the reviews on here, so I went with low expectations. The pizza is delicious. I liked the laid back atmosphere. They play a lot of 70's rock so if you're into hearing Italian opera as you dine you won't like it.
The one problem they have is the place doesn't seem very well ventilated (or the pizza over is too close to the dining area) so there is a haze from the pizza oven. The downside of this is your clothes pick up the greasy smell which is kind of gross. That might stop me from going back...but definitely will be ordering pie from them in the future.
BYOB, what more can I say? Lots actually! Great original food, friendly staff and patrons, fantastic atmosphere(especially on fri or sat), and a good chance to meet and chat with a proud owner who stands strong behind the experience he has created. I would recomend this place to fun loving individuals, couples or small groups of friends on a budget who want to chat, sing, dance, eat, drink, and be merry in a non threatning relaxed and chill environment. I arrived at 8pm on a date with my girlfriend, we expected to be moving on in an hour or so, ended up having so much fun that we stayed until well past midnight! Check it out for yourself.
Home Away From Home. I decided to stop in this small corner of Calgary one night by chance. Its dark dingy and awesome!. The food is great, it is however self serve. The staff provide very good service and Pizza Bob is always on hand to entertain!. I have had many great nights at this great little local spot.
Oh yes the Pizza, the pizza is very good, whole-wheat, all fresh organic toppings!
Buckle-Up and enjoy
Pizza Bobs Calgary Alberta. "Pizza restaurant review for Calgary Alberta. I dropped into Pizza Bob's Restaurant in Calgary Alberta in May 2009, and the pizza was outstanding. The service was fast and the people were friendly. The restaurant is like a small neighbourhood pub, and features a musicians jam session on Friday nights, and live Kareokee on Saturday nights. The place is run by Bob Collins, his wife Carole, and a small band of young people that are totally at home behind the counter. They enjoy their work so much, that it's not a job, but more of a lifestyle. The staff make you feel welcome. Check it out for darts, great thin crust pizza, and an extensive menu of meals made with the freshest ingredients. Bring your buddies and have a blast! See the menu now www.pizzabobs.ca ."
Quality Ingredients & Preparation. We had three young ones with us so we were looking for a kid friendly place - PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA! They all chimed.
OK, OK , OK - Let's try Pizza Bob's Classic Pies - driven by it many times, never stopped. Now I am glad we did.
When we first walked in, we thought - WHOOPS!! It's a PUB! No kids. will be allowed! It looks very much like a neighborhood pub inside. Dim lighting, smallish room, high top tables and sports on big screens.
No - no - we were assured - this is a restaurant - not a pub. So in we ventured. I leaned over to my daughter and said, " If you ever wondered what a pub looks like inside - this looks like one!" Perhaps Pizza Bob's location was a pub in a past life.
To order, one must go up to the bar, ...er, I mean counter and place your order. They will bring it to you when it's ready.
The kitchen was open for viewing and we saw a huge brick pizza baking hearth. Awesome!
Our meal was assembled from near scratch and then we had to wait for it to bake. It was well worth the wait.
Pizza Bob's pizzas have a classic thin crust and real quality ingredients - no plastic cheese (we could taste the cheddar) , the meats were lean and there wasn't a bunch of cheap fillers. It was real, quality pizza made fresh. Bravo!
They looked good and tasted better - the crust was just perfect - not greasy. How nice to be filled up by real toppings and not a big heavy crust.
The oven baked ribs were also incredibly tasty and tender.
We'll be back for more!
Best pizza in the city hands down, use top quality ingredients to deliver the best quality pizza.
Compared to those pizza boxes that have a simple stenciled image of the shop’s name on it (which are appealing in their own way for their old school look), Pizza Bob’s Classic Pie instead had a full fledged artistic logo which I found mildly amusing.
