My first pizza to try when I moved to Calgary in '93. Prices are great (especially when opting to get the 2nd pizza for next to nothing) & quality is good. Nothing fancy but overall satisfying. Their thin crust is really good & consistent with quality & flavour.
Ordered the Rio Special - Large. Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings also. The pizza was better than great, tasty pizza sauce, cooked well enough dough wasn’t doughy which is a concern with that many toppings, plenty of cheese not skimpy on any topping. Crust was crunchy and tasty not too oily. Decently priced at 21$ for the pizza and $9 for a pound of wings.
A lemon wedge should be served with the Salt and Pepper wings ;)
So me and my boyfriend have different opinions on this place- the last time we ordered it he said it reminded him of frozen pizza, and that it was the worst pizza he's had in a long time. But I'm the one writing the review :P I thought it was great! We've ordered pick up from here twice, and I LOVE their thin crust. It's so light and crispy, and it makes pigging out on pizza relatively guilt free. I did agree with him that the second time the crust wasn't as crispy, I think that they pulled it from the oven a bit early because we arrived to pick it up early. It was actually better the next day because without the hot toppings on it it firmed up a bit. Though their bell peppers weren't the freshest. I'd definitely recommend Rio, and I know I'll be back again (hey if he doesn't want it, it just means more for me :P).
Not sure what they do to make such AMAZING thin-crust pizza...my husband and I are totally addicted and get delivery about every two weeks!! We get the greek thin-crust with artichokes and on the 2nd pizza: pineapple, mushrooms, green olive and banana peppers and it is a total PARTY in your mouth! Truly the best pizza we've ever had and one of the really nice things about it is it tastes 'light'! ie: I don't feel guilty after eating it as it is all flavour and no goopy, greasy, mess. YUM! Once you try it, you are hooked.

The best takeout/delivery pizza in Calgary. I always order the white crust meatlovers, and it has never disappointed. My absolute favorite pizza of all time. Truly a hidden gem.
Best pizza I've had ever, hands down. Get the thin crust. Great price, 2nd pizza is only $3. My new and only fave pizza place. The lady who runs it is such a sweetheart too. Go here you'll fall in love with pizza all over again.
Excellent - especially thin crust!. I've been a regular here for about a year. The regular crust is great, but this is the best thin crust I've found in Calgary. Toppings are quality and the service has always been good. This is a great "mom and pop" type place and they have a really good 2 for 1 (second pizza is $2.99).
I've eaten pizza all around north america as I am seriously addicted to it and Rio Pizza on 14st is by far the best pizza I've EVER eaten!!
Finally! I've been searching for great pizza for the last year since I moved to Calgary. This place serves HANDS DOWN the best pizza! If you're from Montreal and looking for similar pizza, try this and you won't be disappointed. Trust me.
All around Awesome pizza place:). I've ordered from here a few time now. An it is very consistently great. The pizza is very good, my fav is any thin crust. An the service is so remarkably good. They always have a very big smile an are always very warm an kind. From the moment you walk in they have you smiling an very happy you've picked them for your dinner experience :)
OMG - Fantastic Pizza. My favorite pizza place in town - the crust and tomatoe sauce is amazing. I like the vegetarian pizza the best - very fresh. The thin pizza crust was just delicious. ASK for the Greek on whole wheat thick crust. Soooo goood!!!!

Clean, competent, professional. Rio Pizza is a class act. Phone service is friendly and the owners speak impeccable English. The restaurant is takeout only but is perfectly clean and professionally run. The product itself is carefully assembled and, though it's not the absolute best pizza I've ever tasted, is a very good crisp crust (the thin crust option I mean) with the toppings distributed with great care. It's a delight to have a simple takeout place run with such care and such admirable professionalism. Oh, the price is great! Especially when you order two.
