This place is great! The sushi is delicious...everything is! To top it all off they throw in an entree if you spend $50. Its totally worth it. I'll be back.

I enjoyed the sushi here! This surprised me because I've been on a bad steak with trying new sushi restaurants. I was surprised and relieved that Masa didn't have fridge-cold rice like a lot of other places do. I only tried one roll (their house special roll) and three pieces of nigiri (chopped scallop, salmon, tuna). The nigiri had decent-sized slices of fish. The roll was pretty decent too.
The atmosphere was nice.
Service was a bit slow even though we were literally the only ones in the restaurant. Waitress didn't check up on us a lot, but when we did have her attention she was friendly.
The prices during the day are a bit lower than at dinner for the same rolls.
Overall: While I can't say it's the best sushi in the city, it's one of the better places in the area if you're willing to risk slow service. Will happily eat here again.

This is my 2nd favourite sushi place in the area. #1 is still Kinjo.
Tried their fried California roll. Tasty!! I'll probably crave this and get again!!
Spicy Salmon roll. Good. Won't crave it. But don't regret getting it.
Creamy scallop roll. It's good. It has a big hunk of cucumber, though. I might stick to the creamy scallop nigiri next time.

This place has become an almost weekly stop for my family! Service is excellent and the food is of great quality! I really like their sushi and their ginger chicken is one of the best in town
It's really unfortunate Masa Sushi doesn't get more business. This is our third time at the restaurant, and it the food has consistently been fresh and very tasty. The hostess was very accomodating, paid a lot of attention to our table, and was an overall friendly person. The seven spice fried squid was exceptionally tasty, and very crispy.
We come here for take out occasionally. The service is always good, they give decent sized portions and the price is reasonable. We usually just get tempura udon and have always been happy with it. Would recommend.
Had the pleasure of going to this place recently and was really satisfied with my experience overall. The sushi was fresh and tasty and the prices are good if you stick to the combos and specials. They are one of the few places to offer some special cuts of fish like chutoro (fatty tuna) which just melts in your mouth and is a recommended must try. Their spicy versions of sushi are good but they could tone down the mayo amount a bit. I also would've liked sweet soya as an option. Apart from the sushi their other food is also tasty. Another thing to keep in mind is that for every $50 you spend you get to pick one of three dishes to get for free. You might end up ordering more food than intended because of that. That's what happened to us anyways but they even took care to arrange the left over food in a beautiful arrangement inside the take out boxes that I really should've taken a picture of. If you're a sushi lover living close to here you have to give these guys a try.
They are a recently opened sushi restaurant in a new area of West Springs and they are dishing out incredible food at a very reasonable price.
Their food is really good for what you can find in Calgary. Their salmon and tuna is fresh and their unagi has an incredible warmth and crispness to it, making it one of my favourite dishes at the restaurant! Give their yam roll a try as well! I have tried about 10 different rolls and 6 different appetizers/meals there and they have all been incredible. They also have discounts on select items as a lunch special.
Their service is amazing as well. Very friendly and attentive staff that is very quick to give out extra wasabi, ginger, and water when asked. On my second visit, the serving staff recognized me, which is really great to see. With a very clean dining area, this is a great place to bring family and friends as well.
Overall, my experiences there have been amazing and I will most likely choose this location as my regular place for sushi
Went here for the first time this week and we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic, everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Good rolls and sashimi. Prices are reasonable and the specials are great. Staff was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be giving this another shot, I was sure to snag a takeout menu on the way out too.
Best Miso soup I have ever had. The salmon and tuna sushi was fresh and the Masa special roll was very tasty. Overall I would say the best Sushi restaurant I have been to in Calgary.
Good and I'll be back. First time trying and you can tell they are still setting up the restaurant. I ordered take out. They've a fairly traditional sushi selection and everything tasted good. Actually fairly cheap, which was a nice surprise. The rice was nice and sticky with a dense texture and a nice overall flavour. They were also very fast. That might be due to them being new and not very busy, but hot apps, rolls and sashimi for three were ready in 10 minutes.
From a service side you could tell they are a new restaurant and are trying to work out the kinks. Nothing that they did wrong, but it felt like they were a little nervous and trying a bit too hard.
I'll be back. It appears very family/kid friendly, which is something missing in the area.
