First time here. 3 people $41fr dimsum. Good service. Food was comparable to other dimsums. Good quality.
Went here for dinner the other day. The food was delicious and surprising the customer service was amazing.
Over the years Ive been going here the quality in the food has not changed. I would recommend !!!
The restaurant is very "traditional". Very oldschool for sure. I tried their ginger oysters. They were pretty good.
I also tried their jelly fish and baby octopuses. The baby octopuses were frozen I believe@. The texture and taste was not good. I threw all of them away. Jelly fish was good.
I ate good baby octopus from a japanese sushi restaurant before so I know what it should taste like. This place opens late so it is an option if you need something to eat.
Yesterday we went down to eastern fortune for some special off the menu items. The crab was awesome perfectly cooked, the duck didn't look great but you should give it a try, it tasted tender Nd much better than it looks. Egg and shrimp nicely done a minute more or less would've altered the taste. Everything else was good. It's a very authentic Chinese restaurant.
This place is awesome for the late night menu, especially since it's open till like 2:30 am so you can fulfill your late night Chinese food cravings. We ordered the century egg congee, XO sauce hor fun, the fried oyster pancake (amazing), and jelly fish with shredded chicken. Everything was really good and it definitely hit the spot. The oyster pancake was super crispy and savoury. Portion sizes were really big too, and the food was pretty cheap too. I'll definitely be coming back again.
Dec 24th update - the food has gone downhill since the owner changed. The vegetable dishes don't have enough flavour and were hardly even stir fried. The other dishes we ordered were mediocre.

I've been eating at this restaurant for a few years now because the food's pretty tasty and consistent. The owners recently retired and sold the restaurant so I was worried the food wouldn't be as good. I ordered some of my usual dishes and it tasted pretty much the same. I love the fried tofu with crab sauce because it has a thin crispy batter and its smooth and creamy inside. The steamed oysters are fresh and delicious. I tried two new dishes on the menu and it was alright. I'll be back for my go to dishes and maybe some of the newly added northern dishes.
The customer service is lacking but to be fair, all the women that work here are 50+. I love the Peking duck from here. I also always order the egg/oyster pancake as well. No other Chinese restaurant makes that and I will go out of my way to drive here whenever I'm craving it.
Always good, never fail. This restaurant is always busy. Food is consistently good with a few favourites: fried milk (that you cannot find anywhere else in Calgary), sliced chicken with jelly fish (sounds awful but really good), thousand years egg with bean tips (again sounds awful but always good). The free dessert usually has at least 2 choices, and I like the cold mango tapioca sweet soup the best. Service is not always the most attentive as it is always busy. Insufficient space for parking. Food is hardcore Chinese style and not for the faint of heart. Highly recommended if you are adventurous.
Amazing food, and great prices!. I always come here whenever I come back from the mountains, because it opens so late! The food here is amazing. My favorite dishes are steamed preserved mustard carp, strawberry pork, fried oyster omelette, stir-friend glutinous rice, and rice congee (has chinese dried fish and minced meat - not quite sure what it is called in english...). I recommend this restaurant to those who want to try authentic chinese food!
Hit and Miss. For the most part the food is delicious, they are typically very busy there and pump the food out very fast, sometimes it tends to be greasy and underspiced!
Been going here for years love this place. Reconmend the ginger chicken and the black bean mix veggies!
Love this place!. This place has some of the best chinese food in town! If you're looking for the westernized chinese food (ginger beef/chicken, sweet and sour pork/chicken, lemon chicken, etc.) then I suggest you go elsewhere. This place is best known for its more authentic dishes. My favourite has to be the Chef's Special Crab. Delicious! Of course, there are also dishes such as beef and gai lan, chef's special pork chops, snow pea shoots and don't forget the Peking Duck. Mmmm...I think it's time to make a reservation.
This is one of my personal favourite dishes here, and can be eaten as is without the congee. It’s crispy on the edges and on the outside and fluffy in the inside. What’s really special about this pancake is not only texture and the oysters, but they also add pickled Chinese radish in this dish. The reason why I mention this is because I’ve eaten many versions of this dish in China and they’re generally more gelatinous and soft- sometimes crispy and is dipped in straight up fish sauce. This is my favourite version of this dish, and yes I do think it’s much better than the ones you get in China. You dip it in this sweet vinegary sauce (actually the same as the Soya Duck) which gives it an extra layer of flavour and cuts the greasiness of it.
