The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth and rightly so lives up to its expectations each & every year we visit this place! One cannot get enough of the place in a day. Wish it would last more than 10 days in a year!
On average 1.0M people visit the event each year from as far as Far East, Middle East, Europe and United States and from other parts of our great country Canada šØš¦
One of the best events in Calgary. Celebration of 2 weeks with lots of food stalls, fun and adventure rides, games and what not. Best time of the year in Calgary that sets itās foot with parade in which different talents showcase there uniqueness.
Rodeo was alot of fun! Going as a family you need 2 days at the stampede to really enjoy everything the park has to offer. ( rides, agriculture arena, dog show and entertainment, food, rodeo, fireworks, evening shows)
We had a great time and will be back next year!
** Buy the day pass not stamps!! or rides will cost you a fortune.
Didn't think ot was too different from the traveling trade show/amusement rides then I turned the direction of gmc stadium and wow. Just wow, the rodeo stuff the stuff that .akes it stampede was worth the trip. It was so nice to see the city all dressed up in Western wear. Would recommend 3 days if your thinking day.weekend too many event to see and experience.
We were glad we went, and a two day visit was enough! One giant theme park, which is great for the kids, and also so many food and drinks vendors. It seems to be about, sell, sell, sell, rather than about conservation, compassion, and preservation of tradition. However, saying all of that, it is the biggest outdoor show we've ever been to...
After a 17 year gap, we decided to check out the Calgary Stampede - we always enjoy watching coverage on TV but itās fun to walk the midway and grounds and see live shows. The daily schedule helped us to plan the day and we lucked out by getting in free before 11:00am - not sure why but š¤ . We enjoyed: the RCMP Musical Ride - a proud Canadian tradition and celebration of 150 years of service; the illusionist, Stampede Show Riders, River Camp village with Indigenous dancers, market place displays, animal displays, show band, and Canine Stars. Searching for gluten free options was a bit of a chore but we found some poutine, dole whip and caramel apples. šsee pictures. We ended our day with a T&S concert at the Coca Cola stage which is an amazing new-and-improved outdoor stage venue. We are 50+ so didnāt partake in rides or much after 10:30 but after 12 hours we had a full day!

Took in the 2023 Rodeo finals from the infield.
It was an awesome show of dedication.
The crowd was invested and the competition was fierce.
Near perfect performances created champions that the crowd roared for.
The midway is always a gong show. Crazy numbers of people. All the lineups you could ever want to wait in. And the food, you'll be glad you tried it but wish you didn't.
The livestock and the shows and everything that stampede brings to Calgary is world class.
And the Coke stage is always a must.
Took in Mother Mother this year and it was just an awesome show.
Plenty of people hate on the Stampede because it makes the city a little crazy with traffic, people and events, but it's really truly something to experience.
Enjoyed this yearās Stampede though itās kinda hard to get through the crowd. Line up for food trucks take 10-20 minutes. The rides arenāt different, just takes a bit longer especially the Westjet sky ride thing, the one thatāll take you to the other side, it took us an hour and 10 minutes to get on it. š
Yes. So happy we were fortunate to attend the Stampede. First time ever.
One day we went to see the Chuck Wagon Races .. the next day attended the Stampede Rodeo and musical variety show and fireworks.
Walked around and enjoyed the grounds.
Unbelievable how many people were there. Whoa
I have attached a few photos.
If you get a chance to attend the Stampede next year, Go. Yaaaahooo
Greatest show we have ever seen. Highly recommend. You will be overwhelmed. Hard to describe. Been there 2 years in a row, from Florida.
Marvellous. The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo, exhibition, and festival held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It usually takes place in early July and lasts for 10 days. The event showcases various rodeo competitions, including bull riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, and more. In addition to the rodeo, the Stampede features parades, concerts, agricultural displays, carnival rides, and food vendors. It's a significant cultural and tourism event in Calgary, attracting visitors from around the world.
Very nice, this was my first rodeo, it will definitely not be my last. I had a really good time in spite of people asking to be let out- back in- let out- back in-.... If you know you are going to have to keep moving you should get an outside seat. Smh
The greatest outdoor show at The Calgary Stampede! Free after the parade day entry! Be sure to check value days for free entry online as there are many. If youāre in Calgary earlier in the weeks, months leading to the Stampede stop by Safeway, Sobey, Co-op or Costco to buy your gift card/stampede bucks to be used for the rides, games and food at the Calgary Stampede at a discount and additional 10-20% savings. Fantastic shows, free breakfast throughout the city of Calgary for the entire 10days and on the stampede grounds too. There are lots of food to try, shopping at BMO market place, grandstand chuck wagons race, evening shows at the grandstand, free dog show, magic show and fireworks. (Most events are included in the entrance fee, in our case free) So much to do, donāt forget the midway rides and games. Buy a lottery ticket for your chance to win a show home, car, trailer, boats and even more toys, too much to list. Come and enjoy the greatest show on earth! Usually the first two weeks in July!
2023 Calgary Stampede, first impressions is that the show has a lot going on and a lot of people attending. You just got to find your fun among it all. I would recommend the evening show on the first day.
A must see event so worth the trip and the atmosphere in the whole town is great. So much to see and do. We spent 4 nights in Calgary and I would say that's a minimum to get to enjoy the stampede.
What a great event the Calgary Stampede is. Fantastic events and the show is something else. Never seen fireworks and drone shows like it. Great atmosphere at the fair and everywhere in Calgary. A must.

Our first stampede, security was a joke...anyone could of gotten through with weapons or contraband.. many people smoking dope around kids etc. Very unorganized and hard to get around, they had 160k+ people the night we were there and it was a mad house . The grandstand show was cool but for the amount of people and how special it was to be the 100th stampede..they had some c rated singers..like a Taylor swift! Pretty cool event, but needs some polishing.
Great to witness preparations for one of the greatest outdoor event of the world. Itās simply magnificent that how the entire Calgary is involved and celebrate this historic event!
