We love the food here and it is awesome to have such yummy food so close. However, the menu listed here is outdated. Prices have increased by about $5 per dish.

We stopped in for lunch. The service was okay. The food was okay. We did get big portions for the price of the food. I enjoyed the won ton soup and the spring roll. The rest of the food was just okay.
Food was amazingly fresh and there was no MSG. Take note other Chinese restaurants. You don't need all that MSG. We will definitely return for another awesome meal.
Came here tonight for NYE dinner with some friends. Good thing we made reservations cuz this place was packed! The reception area was busy with taking take out orders on the phone and also with walk in take out. We sat down and ordered out food. It came out relatively quickly and ate our food. It was good, nothing exceptional but not disappointing either. The usual chinese food you would expect from other restaurants. When we left there was tons of ppl waiting for table. Good thing we went early.
Amazing and timely!. We had delivery of ginger beef, lemon chicken, Shanghai noodle with pork, and mixed veg. Normally it would be soggy and I was expecting sub par. Instead it was amazing as if fresh ordered and delivered within 25 min. Amazing and I would eat here again.
We were happy with our order!. After our 'go to' chinese restaurant changed hands and is not delivering we had to find another restaurant... We were recommended to try this restaurant. Because we are in the deep southeast, it is difficult to find an establishment that delivers. We were very pleasantly surprised to find the food was hot upon delivery. We thoroughly enjoyed all but the cashew chicken. It was flavourless and consisted mainly of celery with very little cashews. The beef with snap peas was very good as was the Mu Su Pork, although the menu stated it came with 6 pancakes and only 3 arrived? On the whole, we enjoyed most of what was ordered and will order again!!
Fresh Seafood & Veggies. We arrived on the eve of the Chinese New Year. The restaurant was very busy with a real mix of clientele. Our family of 4 sat down and quickly ordered a set meal to celebrate the New Year. We must have arrived just as everyone else's orders had gone in because it took a long time for our first dish to arrive - tofu and shrimp soup. Shortly afterward the crab dish arrived. Thankfully it took awhile to eat since the kitchen was still very busy. The final three dishes arrived quickly once the restaurant cleared out. We enjoyed the meal. The seafood was fresh as were the veggies and it was all well prepared. We enjoyed the meal very much.
Better for Takeout. If your there around lunch hour the food is fresh. To early or late, things are a more likely to be stale. Much better as a place to order for delivery. It's is always fresh and reasonably priced.
Whoa a chick delivery driver! Cute too. But apart from that the delivery did take an hour during peak business hours. It was hot when I got it though. Food was decent, I wish there were more vegetables but I love veggies more than the average person. I only got a couple little pieces of baby corn. The food could have more seasoning, I found it a little bland. But great service especially for delivery.
Love it!. Bonavista Peking house is by far the best chinese in the S.E! Great lunch buffet, attentive service, always bang on take out or dine in! They have the greatest salt and pepper chicken and will make it extra spicy!
A real Treat. When was that last time you were in a restaurant and felt they wanted you there? Chinese new year 2012 we wanted Chinese food for dinner but didn't realize it was there new years eve Lol probably not the best night to go out for chinese food. Well after the hostess did everything to try and get us in there very busy restaurant we decided to take it home, even at the last minute the hostess was tring to get a table. The food excellent even at home, grate value, will be back, dine in or take out.

Delicious!. Some of the best tasting chinese food in the city! Salt and Pepper squid is battered just right and is to die for ( I always hate overbattered and doughy squid). Not to mention their ginger beef whenever you have it fresh. mmm.... Great value on the dinner for two.
My only complaint is that because it's so popular, it's busy during the 7pm-ish rush, I usually end up ordering my takeout an hour or two earlier. Otherwise I end up waiting 30-40 min or more. Good luck getting a table on the weekend at the dinner rush, they really need to expand the dining room.

The best Chinese in the Deep South!. We've been looking for some good Chinese down south for yrs. Went here when a friend told us about it. It was Awesome! was with my MIL, husband, and 2 kids (1 and 6). EVERYBODY loved it!! Not easy to say in our family. We've been back may times, and its always great! We've been to the buffet (great price!! $8.95 I think) but limited selection. But because of it's size, it's always topped up nice and freshly made! We won't go anywhere else for Chinese! Decor is dated, but the food is worth it!
