I ordered a Pho to go. It was huge! I thought the prices were very reasonable compared to other restaurants in this area. Friendly staff. No one seated, but a lot of people picking up. The restaurant seemed very clean. The Pho was fantastic. AAA
Same old Minh Chau, new look, renovated. We’ve been coming here for years! Still the same great-tasting Vietnamese food. Love it! I highly recommend it! Check it out!
This is the only place in Calgary now that serves Bun Mang Vit. Some days it's fresh and I think they freeze it on other days. The special rice is not bad.
Delicious pho here. To judge a good broth you have to first order the plain. As sate spice can mask the imperfections. I can say their broth here is one of my favs for sure. The beef curries are great aswell.
Expensive compared to other Vietnamese places but the food is good. Overall, not the best place in the city, but they have an impressive selection of noodle soup dishes not commonly found at Vietnamese restaurants. This is great if you're in the mood for soup but not pho. Their rice paper crepes are SOO good(best I've had). Pho and vermicelli bowls are good-- not disappointing but not amazing. Their salad rolls are good and they have the shredded pork kind which not all restaurants offer. The service is good! The young woman who works there is so friendly and speaks English well making ordering a breeze. I used to come here a lot until they raised their prices about a year ago.
Always count on this place for awesome Pho, Bun and fried treats in a hurry! I really love the pho here, broth is tasty and not just all msg like other places
This is a nice play to go to get quick cheap take out.
Love their chicken satay soup and their lemon grass chicken vermicelli. There are tons of tables in this restaurant and they seem to be pretty quiet around 5pm. Lunch is crazy busy and if you go between 12-1:30 you will likely end up waiting.
Since the renovations this place has cleaned up quite a bit-it used to be kinda grungy, with dark decor.
The food is solid, and there's lots of room to sit. I always forget the restaurant is here even though it's right on the main drag of Inglewood. The service can be slow, but that's because it's entirely family run and often there's 1 person per role(1 server, 1 cook, 1 cashier).
Really decent salad rolls! And I like their hue soup :)
One Of The Best. I just had the satay beef with vermicelli (the empty bowl is on the table in front of me) and it must be the most delicious I've ever had. I've never come closer to literally licking the bowl clean than I am right now. The peppers and onions with the beef were a very nice touch. I'm a big guy with a big appetite and found the portion size to be perfect. With such a wide and varied menu I could come back many times over and never get bored (durian milkshakes!). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and made it such a pleasant experience. LOVE IT!!!

Great Vietnamese food. A year or so ago it was not as good but the last few times we've gone it has been excellent. We also really enjoy ordering take out. It is always fresh and delicious. We also find that the barbecue pork has much more flavour than other Vietnamese restaurants.
One of the best veggie phos in town.
My boyfriend LOVES it- and he is a total meat and potatoes guy.. We love this restaurant!!
My boyfriend took me here after visiting several times with friends.
I work in the industry and I was very impressed that the staff recognized him and greeted him like a regular and were so friendly. Tucked away in Inglewood like a hidden gem. Clean and bright on the inside.
The food is great! We've been in to eat a few times and also ordered delivery. Items are made with care and we have never been unhappy. My boyfriend swears by it which surprises me because he is such a meat and potatoes, burgers and french fries kind of guy. If he's happy, I'm happy! :)
Service is great- gives a family feel, great for us being so far away from family on the other side of the country
Great new changes. I been to this restaurant a few times pre-renovations that they done. After coming back after their renovations to give it a try I had a good experience. The food was pretty good quality- the seafood soup & rice paper wraps were flavorful& good quantity. Service was friendly and attentive.
The inside of the place with its new renos was nice looking and clean. The bright paint job, new decor. They did a good job with the presentation of the restaurant. Look forward to trying more dishes there.
A refreshing change at Minh Chau. It is so nice to see that Minh Chau, Inglewood's local vietnamese spot, has had a makeover inside and is under new ownership - I had given up on the place but was excited to check it out when I heard that there were big changes. Our lemongrass and spring roll rice vermicelli bowls were fresh and tasty, and the new interior is bright and clean. HTe staff was friendly, attentive and prompt. I'm looking forward to going again soon.
Renovations did the trick. The food is great at Minh Chau but it was disgusting to eat in. the food is even better now that the atmosphere and cleanliness is taken care of.
in all fairness there are new owners that serve fresh delicious food.
Great food, service okay. I went here for lunch last week. There isn't enough staff for the lunch hour, but that's probably why the food is so inexpensive. My noodle bowl was really tasty and once my order was taken, the food came really fast. Needs a facelift though as just about everyone else has said... Will go back for sure...
No Major Complaints. Read review about Minh Chau just before I went there to have lunch with my sista, was little worried but figured give it a try, been there a couple years ago and it was okay, well have to say not bad ordered Salad Rolls for appetz came pretty fast and were great, did take a little longer to get main meal, when it came it was hot, tasted good...nothing not to stop me from going back and have another meal. Only issue was service was little slow...if going for lunch might want to let work know going to be little late! Place looked okay, looked clean, nothing that caused a double look. Will be back.
Unique dishes. They had many unique dishes that other viet restaurant didnt have that i enjoy.Tasted good as always

Almost didn't go in. Looks run down and dirty. Interior could use a major face lift. Sat down at table with a dirty napkin on it. Not looking forward to meal.
Shrimp rolls were good. Sauce was classic Vietnamese peanut sauce.
Chicken pho sate quite good but also somewhat oily. Ingredients seemed fresh.
Service was adequate.
Fresh good food. Old on the outside, old interior too, could use some paint & newer decor, keep the pictures though. :)
I had coconut slush, shrimp salad rolls, and sauteed shrimp with veggies on steamed rice. Super fresh, no msg. I always worry about going to a new Asian diner and having to deal with msg. It wasn't even over spiced or salted. It was great.
I liked it a lot, clean, casual, I will go again. There is so much I would like to try.
Really tasty.. We went here for dinner for the first time today. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly and fast. we both had a rice vermicelli dish, really fresh tasting and delicious! recommend #60- shrimp paste and meatball vermicelli.
Yes. I work in Inglewood and sometimes order from Minh Chau. The food is ready within ten minutes everytime and holds up to the standard of food one would hope for. Delicious!
BUN MAM!!. Bun mam is a very tasty and rare dish for the vietnamese. not all vietnamese can eat it. it has a very strong smell to it. BUT if u know how to eat viet food, then u will LOVE bun mam! id say its my FAV dish for the vietnamese food. and only minh chau has it made best!! i eat it at least once every week, and i still cant get enough :) its kinda pricey ($13/bowl) but if u cant get it anywhere else as good, then i guess u gotta live wit it...
Best Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary, hands down! Amazing food and service.
Cheap, cheery & INCREDIBLY TASTY!. I have been eating here for over 6 years now since moving nearby and can't say enough about the quality of the food here. it is consistently fresh and flavourful and two can eat like kings for 30 bucks or have a light dinner for $20.
the menu here is not unlike that at other Vietnamese places in the city I just find the flavour and quality of the food so much better here than at other places i have frequented over the years.
as other reviewer mentioned this is a family run business and they are all absolutely lovely to deal with. quick, efficient and friendly service always.
the dining room is in need of some updating but is not dirty really, just tired and worn but it has never bugged me. i go there for the cheap, cheery and tasty food and not for the ambience. 95% of the time we order take-out anyway so it is a non-issue.
my favorite is the vegetarian sate soup. i always ask for a side of thai basil to rip up into the broth. the broth itself is wonderfully spicy but not overly hot. the deep fried tofu is always perfectly cooked as to be crispy but still moist. i also highly recommend the spring rolls, crispy and tasty. anything with the bbq pork is divine - either in the many combos of bun or they make a salad roll with the bbq pork which is an extremely pleasant alternative to the more predictable shrimp. there are a number of thai items on the menu but i have never tried them. i just love the vietnamese too much to have bothered. maybe some day.
... in fact i think i may have to order some soup tonight!
LOVE Minh Chau. I LOVE this place! The Bun is fabulous! Have been eating there for over 5 years and the quality has remained amazing! Great prices, great people, family owned. This is the best Vietnamese in town. I would highly recommend!
Awesome comfort food. I could eat here every day.
