Fantastic Dim Sum. Always great full of flavour and steaming hot. I much prefer getting it straight from the kitchen instead of the rolling carts. Better flavour and fresh. Go you will not be disappointed.
A friend of mines father passed away and the had the memorial dinner for 100 there. Even with that crowd all was hot and fantastic

Best dim sum in Calgary. Comes super hot and tasty! My favourite is the sui mai. It’s a nice portion and good ingredients. Will be back again and again. Also parking is so much better than dt.
My parents and I checked this place out and really enjoyed the delicious meal, hot flavourful and a little spicy. Would love to try again next time were in the city
Impressive dim sum. The menu is standard and looks like word soup as most Asian places, but take the chance to try things or go away from just the standard dumplings.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food portions were good, and came out piping hot, as well as fast service. While it was a Tuesday afternoon, it wasn't busy, which added to probably why we had great service. I came here and ate to a very good satisfaction.
The notable item I had was the Rice Crepe with BBQ Pork. The reason is because it was a healthy portion in a deep bowl/dish which you just don't see anywhere else. Everywhere else you find smaller portions placed flat on on a plate which appears to be more than it is.
Also, I recommend the Pan Fried Green Pepper with Shrimp Paste. It came in three pieces, and was delightful.
This is my favorite place for dimsum. It was always comes fresh and hot. Portions are also of decent size. Well Priced, and decent service (for a chinese place)
I have been eating at this restaurant since it opened. I can say that they have always had superb food AND service. Their dim sum is not frozen but made fresh, their dinner dishes are always fresh, hot and amply portioned. Definitely recommended.
Consistently great Dim Sum. Very busy at lunch get there by 11:30. There can be language issues with some staff but over all good service. It is the best in North Central Calgary.
As far as chinese food goes, this is some of the best in the city! and as far as service goes... well... this is some of the best chinese FOOD in the city!

I really like the steamed oysters here!!! Remember to pre-order, otherwise they ran out of oyster quite often! The service is really good. Great place for family dinner

Easy Dim Sum. We always come here for dim sum as it's easy peasy - good, accessible parking and access from all points in the city via McKnight or the Deerfoot. The prices are reasonable and portions are large. They are more known for dim sum, but dinner is great too. Dinner tends to be quieter, but the food is still well executed.
Overall, the waitstaff are very pleasant and accommodating and also speak reasonable to excellent English (for non speakers of Chinese). The only downside is the ?owner or manageress - always sour and in a bad mood. My elderly mom was a bit slow pulling out her cash and she was berated by this woman. If you can overlook the one sour face in the restaurant, it's probably one of the best dim sum spots in the city.
Tip: for weekends, Saturday is not as busy; get there before noon to be seated promptly. Sunday tends to be very chaotic and crowded. They are open for dim sum on Sundays at 9:00 am and I suggest the earlier the better. For more sedate dim sum, go on a weekday.
New Favourite Spot. Excellent food, lower prices than many other dim sum spots. I like coming on weekdays rather than weekends - the food comes out lightning fast.

really great! The service was amazing, the waitress and waiters where very attentive and they were quick on their feet. The prices of the dim sum was reasonable. When our food came out it was hot and fresh. I would recommend this place to everyone.
I ordered for delivery and the gentleman who answered the phone was very polite and professional. The delivery lady was very energetic and happy to be dropping off our food! Ginger beef was very nice hot and perfect amount of spice!! I'll be ordering again without a doubt!!
BEST DIM SUM I'VE EVER EAT. First time try it and fall in love with it. MUST TRY Stir Fried Beef Hofan with XO sauce. DELICIOUS! Everything is tasty and price is very reasonable. Will recommend to everyone ! Love to come back to this place again if am back to Calgary.
Best Dim Sum in Calgary. This is currently the best Dim Sum Restaurant in Calgary with large portions, fast service, and english speaking servers what else could you ask for. Parking could be hard to find if your arriving on a weekend morning but the good news is that Dim Sum is served until 3:00. Dinner time here is a bit slow but still quicker then some other restaurants in Calgary.

Dim sum and dinner are both good.... This is a good restaurant for dim sum and dinner but you do have to know what to order. We usually eat the authentic chinese dishes and their garlic oyster dish is so good at dinner. Their dim sum is good, again some dishes like their XO Taro dish and congee are very good whereas their Siu Mai is average but you do get larger or more pieces than some other dim sum places. Like T-Pot only gives you 3 pieces of Siu Mai or Har Gow but Golden Central gives you 4 pcs. Service can be a little slower when they are busy at dinner but its usually not a big deal as we usually have a large group so it gives us time to chat and catch up. The taste of the food is good so makes up for the delay.
This place has the best Chinese food I ever had! Their portions are great for the price you pay. It is always full of Chinese people when I go so that obviously mean it's good food! I crave their food. My favorites are the ginger beef, chicken chow mein and mixed veggies! Yumm

We've stopped by for dinner a few times and was never disappointed. The service was decent, probably because they're not overly busy. The food is good and they allow substitutions without charging extra. I'd like to return for dim sum one day.
Awesome dim sum. I get cravings for their dim sum it's so good! I like their a la carte style and the food is always piping hot when it comes to the table.

Found some gold. On my first visit I discovered some unique dim sum dishes that really stood out at Golden Central Chinese. My tried-and-true go to dishes (crab and pork dumplings, deep fried shrimp dumplings, shrimp bean curd) were delicious with nice plumpness to the shrimp and meat.
What I really enjoyed were some new dish experiences. The diced tofu in rock salt and pepper was a large dish with a lot of seasoning. The tofu was soft with some slight crispness, but topped with the salt, pepper and garlic, it was pretty addictive.The deep fried pancake with green onion was like a green onion doughnut, but pretty tasty if you like a strong onion flavour with a crisp dough.
My favourite dish was the shrimp spring roll in rice crepe. Simple but brilliant. A large spring roll wrapped in a rice crepe - it had a nice mix of soft and hard texture and as a pretty large dish, definitely got my money's worth out of it.
For a weekday afternoon, the service was pretty slow with only a couple of servers running through the restaurant, but I really enjoyed the food enough to bring some friends there for our next dim sum outting. It's a nice option of dim sum outside of Chinatown.
Have gotten delivery from here quite a few times and have been pleased with the food and speed of delivery. Not my favourite Chinese place, but definitely reliable.
THE BEST!!!. I LOVE this place, definitely the BEST place for Chinese food in Calgary. Their food is tastefully done, and is always just right. It's never too heavy or bland, with the flavor perfectly enhancing the flavor of the natural ingredients. They have a wide assortment of authentic dishes and consistently get it right everytime. Many other Chinese restaurants in Calgary fail to do the same - often too much sticky sauce, too salty, or too roughly thrown together. Golden Central never fails to disappoint.They also have exceptional staff, unlike most Chinese restaurants with rude and rushed waitstaff, the staff at Golden Central are polite and attentative. The setting is clean and is in a convenient location. Definitely recommend this place!
Good Dim sum. I prefer to order on paper rather then from carts, this way it comes out hot and it hasn't been sitting around. I've only come for dim sum not dinner, and each time its pretty good, the only issue i have with the place is timing and service. I goto a lot of chinese restaurants, i don't always get a smile ( that doesn't bother me, its not on purpose), but my food is out, hot, and fast the way i like it. There have been a few occasions where my food is late, for example: i'll order 6 things off the dim sum menu, 4 items show up minutes from each but the last two are 20 minutes late... thats a HUGE gap... and it usually happens on weekends, so for me its forgivable.
Middle of the road dim sum. Having eaten dim sum in many places in Calgary I can say that the items served here are just alright.
I found that the prices were a little higher than they should be and some of the offerings were not up to par.
On the whole I'd just say that this is passable as dim sum goes but better can be had for less elsewhere.
Have gone there for dinner and dim-sum. I think it's better than any of the places in Chinatown. Big portions, decent prices, and fresh dim sum. Probably the biggest pieces of siu-Mai I've ever seen. The serving dining area is clean and bright.
