Cedars deil is great! Second only to Jerusalem shawarma.
They start with a simple store bought pita, which they wrap around, Chicken & Beef that are both excellently herbed & seasoned accompanied by wonderfully fresh vegetables.
The salty turnips, savoury of the onions, sour pickles and spicy peppers, all mixed with a sweet sauce, Yum!
They also have a nice lemony light hummus with a slight garlic, nutty tahini flavours that all shine through in this luscious dip! Beef samosa are a bit small but more than make up for it in flavour. Very friendly staff.
Second time ordering here can't wait for the next!
The staff there is super friendly and upbeat. I ordered the Falafel plate and it was huge. 5 huge falafel balls and a big salad with pita bread for 8.95. I opted for the garlic and taztiki sauce with it. Delicious. The assortment of toppings they have is very good. The menu would please just about anyone and it seems like a healthy alternative to most fast food chains for about the same price. I'll definitely be back soon to try more.
So good! I had their falafel pita recently, probably the best I've ever had.
The portions are very big as well, I will say in not a fan of the salads, but they are cheap.
I love donairs (5-7 per week). Cedars Deli (I go to the market mall location) has the best donairs! The beef is not greasy and there is a great selection of sauces and veges! The best part is the price (under $10)!
Sooooooooo good chicken shawarma 100x better than car posh which tasted foul and made me sick . I would would eat there everyday if I could !!!!
Support local rather than chain and you will be rewarded. So fresh, sooooo delicious and amazing service.
Mouth Watering!!!. By far the best donair in the city!!!! Not sloppy like JIMMY'S A&A deli but still very big... If you are near this place its a must try great people great food cant go wrong!!!!!
After a day of skiing in the mountains, I was famished with nothing in the cupboard and hunger to tame. Hubby had to go to the mall so we visited the food court in Market Mall and I found Cedars Deli. I have been on a Mediterranean kick of late, with making my own pitas and falafel. Even thought this restaurant is in a food court; it is a local, made in Calgary chain. I was looking for something fresh and healthy, and this fit the bill. I ordered the Mediterranean plate which had: two falafel, three vine leaves (dolmades),one kibbeh ball, a generous spoonful of hummus, tabouli, tahini and a large whole wheat pita. Everything was tasty and there was more than enough to satisfy my hunger. Don’t let the food court facade fool you. This is healthy, good tasting local food.
