We went to this restaurant yesterday and loved it. We ordered the meat pizza and the lasagna with garlic bread and soup. So yummy. The service is amazing. Our server was very friendly.
Al's i is the best!!! Also they have excellent gluten free pizza.
We ate here at the first time for Sunday dinner. It was 1/2 price pizza! We ordered fries and a meat pizza. It was so delicious! The pizza had a thick, satisfying crust and a good amount of toppings and cheese. The fries were fresh, crispy, and delicious. I was also impressed with their local beers on tap (Big Rock).
The server went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable. She was patient with our two small children, and brought us extra colouring pages and accomodated our request to move to a booth.
The restaurant was clean and quiet (we especially appreciated that the volume was off on the soccer game on TV, with closed captioning), and all the staff seemed friendly and competent. The price was great (especially with 1/2 price pizza!), and our meal was a good value. We will definitely be coming back often for dine-in and take-out!
My favourite place to eat in the city, Al's Pizza & Steakhouse is home to great food and great people.
My recommended dishes would be either the vegetarian or the baked lasagna, and the vegetarian pizza is also very good. Get a Caesar salad with what ever you order too - it is fantastic.

The place wasn't busy for lunch.The Food quantity was sufficient for the price. I tried the "everything" pizza and it was decent. I even ordered a spagetti with clams and olives. It was tasty
I ordered the baked spaghetti and was great! I was searching for that homey-tasting baked cheesy goodness and I found that here. The portion was huge too! Way too much for both me and my toddler to share. It also came with a piece of garlic toast. I will definitely be back to try their pizza!

After a delayed flight home from vacation Derek and I were too tired to cook, didn't want to go out because our two cats were too starved for attention after 2 weeks away, and we didn't feel like going back outside anyway. Delivery came up, and normally we'd order from another place but they didn't have what either of us was craving so I remembered a coworker mentioning Al's so I brought up the website and started going through the menu. It had what we wanted, but strangely no olives so I called up the restaurant to ask about that. Turns out we'd been looking at the wrong site.
The lady on the phone was super awesome - she was personable, professional, and very patient with us while I went through the correct site's menu with her to make sure we were ordering the right items. From her personality on the phone I would order from them again, that type of phone-order customer service is hard to come by. She took our order over the phone and said it would be 45 minutes for delivery. The driver arrived within the specified timeframe which was also good and the aroma of the pizza from the kitchen when Derek opened the door was amazing.
I had the Greek pizza which had beef, red onion, olives, feta, tomato, green pepper, and a can of coke. It was so delicious I ate half the 12" medium without hesitation. It was absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly cooked, the toppings were fresh and well seasoned, and the sauce was just the right amount. The cheese was so well melted that even after being delivered it was just the right amount of gooey.
Derek had a pizza that involved anchovies so I didn't try it but he said it was really good, he just needs to remember to order extra anchovies next time. I'm happy for him for finding a place that even serves that, but I'm definitely not sharing! Like mushrooms, he's welcome to all the anchovies he wants as long as I don't have to eat them.
We will definitely be ordering from Al's again!
Al's Pizza has delicious food and a very friendly atmosphere. Pizza is great and we take out their Greek salad all the time. You will not be disappointed!
One of my favourite places. I especially like to come mondays to wednesdays for their sale on baked pastas. The lasagna is wonderful. The pizza deal is on sundays. Reasonable service. I have not tried the steak yet.
Have been getting pizza from Al's for many years, and haven't been disappointed yet. Love the spicy sauce, it gives the pizza a much better flavour than most. I always pick up the pizza myself, so I don't have to wait for delivery which can vary a lot depending on how busy they are.
Awesome service here, everyone is always so friendly. The baked tortellini with Rose sauce is amazing and the pizza is top notch.
Awesome service. This place has the best service in the city! Great food and the closest thing to an east coast donair you can get out west with friendly family atmosphere busy on the weekend so be patient and the wait is worth it!!
Great restaurant. Used to come here all the time when I lived in Ranchlands. Their pizza is cheaper on Sundays as well so that is the day to go.
Neighbourhood joint. The pizza sauce is a little spicy (young kids don't like it, but it's delicious) and the cesear salad is nothing special- no bacon, no parm- and every time I order to pick up it's never ever ready when it's supposed to be... But man, the place has a nice vibe and a seemingly nice family running it and some darn good food.
I've been going to Al's for 16 years now and I've never been disappointed great food, great service and al is a great owner I'm happy I live close because it's an easy option for delivery
Grrrrrreat!. I go to Al's quite often. I've yet to be disappointed. The food is consistently good. The waitresses are super sweet too. I mean yes, they are very attractive, but they are nice too. They don't use their looks to try to get big tips or anything, they're just a couple very attractive yet nice young ladies.
We ate there last Sunday and had remarkable service from the waitress. Great food, great service!
Great food, amazing quality and always has fresh ingredients. The Sauces for the pizza and pasta are homemade so they are very authentic.
Everytime I go here I just leave with the biggest satisfaction. The food is always perfect and done exactly the way I like it. The waiters and the chefs are amazing people. Nothing else left to say other then telling everyone else to try.

Excellent pizza! Lots of toppings. Delicious, light crust. And I liked that they were willing, for a price, to deliver outside of their area. We will definitely be returning customers.
Sunday are 1/2 off pizza!. Some close friends of mine discovered this little restaurant and what a find it is! We love going on Sundays because pizzas are 50% off (dine in). The crust is fresh and the toppings are generous. Even at regular price they are good prices for the quality of pizza you're getting. My best girl-friend and I shared a medium pizza (just enough to fill two small girls) and ordered 2 cokes and the enitre meal including the gst cost a whopping $13. This place is definately a neighborhood gem.

The Best Pizza in town!. If you haven't tried this Pizza, then you must. They are very generous about their topping and offer great value for the price. The owner (Al) is a very nice man and his staff always offer great service.
Pleasant Family Neighbourhood Restaurant. I like the atmosphere at Al's. It's cozy and the servers are nice. Clearly willing to sit and chat with their customers while they sit at the bar. It's refreshing to see.
The food is okay as well. I will agree that the pizza is a bit soggy near the centre, but with the fresh ingredients, I still found it enjoyable. The pasta was probably my favourite. The vegetarian lasagna was basically lasagna noodles mixed with the ingredients (not traditionally layered) and baked in a metal dish. Nothing wrong with that, especially when it's incredibly saucy and delightfully cheesy.
A good place for a relaxing dinner, I realize I probably should visit more than once every few years.
Yum.... Great pizza. Good substantial crust. Zesty sauce. Fresh tasting. The pizza is great - always. Good deals during the week, as well. Love the "non-updated' atmosphere - this is not a franchised restaurant - if you want that, there's several others around. Here, you get good old fashioned character and great tasting food that is unique.
