Went to bowness location prices were amazing and food was epic defensively going back
Decided to try this restaurant this evening after reading the good reviews online. It did not disappoint! The menu is so extensive I'll have to come back again! We had the Afgani Chicken skewers, which came sizzling on a hot plate with delcious mint sauce, Beef Curry, Butter Chicken, and Navratna Korma. My only complaint was that the Korma had frozen mixed veg - not my favourite, and it said it included homemade cheese but we couldn't pick it out from the rest of the mix? The flavours were amazing, though! The naan is amazing - bet I've ever had. The flavours were complex, but not too spicy, and we will definitely be back!
Food is always great and staff is very kind. we tried Lamb Madras, Butter Chicken, Achari Fish Tikka , Rice and Naans everything was yummy... Definitely we will come back!! Achari Fish Tikka Must try!!!!!
Very interesting spot, seems out of place in a strip mall. The lunch buffet is really good, I'd like to come back for dinner. I like goat and it's interesting to see it on a menu in Calgary. I don't claim to be an expert on Indian food but I love the flavours and I know fresh when I taste (and smell) it. My only complaint is that it seems a little upscale for the neighbourhood but that's hardly a complaint.
It is a shame that this place doesn't have a higher rating. Those who rated anything below a 4 didn't even write a review. I have been here 3 times or so for the lunch buffet. The food and service is always great. I am happy I found this place.
We've done take out from here on three occasions in the past few months and have never been disappointed. Had the butter chicken, murgh lababdar, samosa and fish pakora in our most recent order. All of the dishes were great. The room looks well appointed and inviting; will have to dine in next time. This place is a hidden gem and well worth searching out.
This is a great addition to the neighbourhood, replacing the old Blue House café which shut its doors after many years. The Indian food is excellent and the service outstanding. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak paneer (spinach), Aloo Gobi, garlic herb naan bread, and of course basmati rice, and loved all of it. Great flavours. We'll be back!
Just ordered the takeout. Butter chicken was amazing and the beef vindaloo was hot and spicy (just how I like it). Definitely would order from here again.
Really delicious food and owner was super helpful. Couldn't decide on butter chicken or the same curry with paneer so he combined the two for us!
Beautiful ambience, great food and friendly staff. We visited the restaurant last night. The food menu is extensive and varied. The beautiful decor allows the simplistic beauty of the food to shine and truly remarkable. The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We tried the Hara Bhara Kabab’s and Achari Fish Tikka- truly mouth-watering. For the Mains we had Balti Lamb and chicken vindaloo, both wonderful. The friendliness of the staff seems genuine. Great customer service, the staff is always attentive and around willing to exchange some kind words. I highly recommend going to Lotus Restaurant. I know I'll certainly be returning soon.

We ordered some vegetarian dishes - hara bharat kebab was extremely good and is a must try for anyone who goes there . Paneer chilli and dal Makhani was very yummy .their biryani was one of the best in the city .overall very satisfying and a must try joint for anyone who likes indian cuisine

We had butter chicken, Prawn Madras , Beef Vindaloo, Saffron Rice & Garlik Naans. Everything was excellent... Service was great and friendly.... The restaurant atmosphere is quit , cozy & Looks Beautiful inside.
I will definitely be coming back, Highly recommend...
