This is our neighbourhood pub. We've lived in Tuscany for over a year now, and have enjoyed having a beer or two while enjoying the wings. We have had a few mishaps in our order and a little bit of attitude from one of the bartenders, but nothing worth getting upset over. Perfect for a beer on the patio after work and really enjoy their nachos.
Fun place. It's walking distance from my house so this is my go to place for wings night. Menu offers a wide variety and the food is great for a pub. Parking is not a problem.
Fun pub, great place to watch the game!. We have visited here several times and are never disappointed. Wing night is awesome, they have some funky cool wing sauces( try the maple bacon and the garlic parm). Their food menu is always changing, offering cool new items like the deep fried ravioli but still keeping your classic pub favs. Great atmosphere, great place to watch the game. We will continue to come back!!

Fun pub!. Delicious new menu, great place to watch the game, lots of beer to choose from and a cozy atmosphere. Definitely a great pub choice considering the options in the area ;)
This is my favorite neighbourhood pub. Very friendly effiecent service. Good atmosphere. Clean and open space. There are tons of menu items and the bar is always stocked. Respectable crowed and even a few fun games along with a couple pool tables. We will miss this place when we move to south Calgary! Check it out!!
I don't get why this pub doesn't get more good reviews, I've been a frequent visitor for the last few years and have always had great food and good service. The staff does seem to change quite a bit but I've always found them to be pleasant albeit maybe a little slow at times. Its my understanding from talking with my waitress last weekend that they are under new management and that renovations are being scheduled for the near future. They have improved their beer selection over the last few months and also put out a new menu recently. I will continue to support my local watering hole until I personally have a reason not to and wish them all the best.
Awesome Pub. My friend and I visit here quite often and have never once had a bad experience. The staff is amazing and very chatty, which is super nice. Not the mandatory chatty, but the genuinely wants to know how you are chatty.
The service is always quick.
The steak bites (spicy version) are amazing. The quesadilla is very good as well. But what sets this place apart from other pubs in the deep NW are the wings, which are phenomenal. You could say that it's pretty hard to go wrong with wings, but sadly that seems to be an all too common case in the NW. Here though, there are amazing!

Love it!. Every time I go to The Last Straw I have great service and delicious food. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. A great neighborhood pub that I recommend to all of my friends. The servers are very attentive and friendly, and service is always fast. The macaroni and cheese is quite delish.
Hottest Wings in Calgary?. I'm not a hot wing fan to be honest, but my wife is. She's tried them all and claims this pace to have the hottest. My buddy and I go here once every other week. Never once have we had a problem. Very clean. The waitresses are always super friendly and the food gets out fairly quick. The steak bites are easily my favorite. Just the right amount of kick for me. The nachos, beware...are HUGE. Almost too much and I felt bad we wasted so much. The small order is enough for 3 people for sure. No complaints. Love it here
We've been here a number of times, and never had a bad experience. Atmosphere, food, and service are always excellent. Bathrooms very clean (always a good sign). Great beer selection.
Nice Neighbourhood Place. We live in Tuscany, and before our daughter was born we used to come to the Last Straw often - the food was good (I liked the steak sandwich) and we enjoyed having a pub/restaurant within walking distance of home. I really wish that the pubs in Calgary were kid-friendly, like those in Canmore and Banff, because we would continue to frequent the Last Straw if we could. Every now and then I do stop in with some friends I volunteer with, and I'm reminded how nice it is to have a neighbourhood haunt.

We have enjoyed everything about this place..... We moved to Tuscany in December...however we did come check out the pub before we took possession :)
We have tried almost everything on the menu and have not had a single meal or appetizer that wasn't delicious!
Some of our favorites are the burgers, the fish, the buffalo chicken dip with nan bread, their wings, well everything is great. Also we have gone here for breakfast and it is AMAZING...
As far as service goes...we have had some of the best service ever in a pub setting. We enjoy the friendly waitresses and how quickly they made us feel like regulars! I won't name any names but there are a few waitresses that stand out :)
The only thing that I would change about this place is maybe some events...like Karaoke, name that tune, or anything entertaining like this.
We will continue to go to our neighborhood pub on a regular basis
Are you kidding...The Straw is Great!!!. Okay so the reviewer Mark doesn't know what he is talking about.... It's funny cuz he's a regular, so why go there if you don't like it??? The staff there is fantastic, especially Vanessa, Joanne and Alex. We love it there for the atmosphere and fun.
The food is always good, however I would like to see more variety on the menu especially their appetizers. They have worked to put some great happy hour specials on (that I would like to see permanently on their menu to get at all times), and now have lunch specials. They are a bit expensive, but when you find a place that you feel comfortable in and they know your name, it's worth it.

Awesome Neighborhood Pub. I frequent this pub quite often and absolutely love it. It is a nice pub with dark wood and has an Engish pub feel to it....definitely not a garage or a basement like some pubs are these days!! I am a Tuscany resident and the convenience is great, but that is not the only reason I go there. They change their menu quite often so I never get sick of the food and I find that the food now is better than ever. The pub definitely did have a time were the food was lacking, but now there are no complaints. My favorites? Steak bites and the Fish & Chips....amazing. The beer is always cold and the service is great. All the girls seem to know what they are doing and are on the ball. The bartenders are quick and very friendly. There are tons of TV's, pool tables, juke box, video games, VLTs and the occasional weekend they have bands playing. It definitely is a nice place to go for us Tuscany residents. If you haven't been to "The Straw" or "The Tuscany Pub", I say go for it. You won't be disappointed.
