Delicious bao buns and some great drinks! The menu is fun and the location is super cute but a bit small. Great to grab and go! I really enjoyed the spicy chicken bao and will likely come back to try the bao trio and tator tots for $12
Woot! I’m excited to have finally tried this little gem on Centre Street! I drive by it on the bus every day to and from work, and I finally drove by it in my vehicle recently when I was just a tad peckish. My experience was so good I made the effort to go back again not soon after!. On my first trip there I ordered a Mango Mania drink ($8) made with fresh ataulfo mango juice served with mango jelly, mango juicy pearls, mango chunks & house-made mango mochi. Whatever was in it, it was super tasty – not too sweet, with different textures and a definite mango punch to the chops. I loved the little mango juicy pearls – I was shocked when I bit down on the first one and juice squirted out! Cool!
I order on Skip the Dishes, even though it costs me so much on delivery, and it is so worth it. The drinks are so fresh and many creative ways to do mango. The mango mania drink was mango heaven and super fresh. Coconut mango is so light and mango chunks are perfectly ripe. The blended drinks, I dream of ever drinking the Asian pair mango smoothie but it is never in season for the Asian Pear. Watermelon is a delicious and refreshing alternative. Mango mojito is a refreshing drink if blended drinks and smoothies are not your thing. The best mango drinks in the city!! The Bao’s were boring for me until I tried the Single Bao Bulgogu Steak. So good. It has cheese. Perfect. I highly recommend experiencing the entire menu.
I like their drinks and food but find it over priced on some of them. Still good for Calgary. My gf loves this place so we end up going quite a bit
I love you Mango Mania. I didn't come in for a few months until last week I treated myself to a matcha milkshake and a bao trio. Since when did they start serving tater tots as a side? Something needs to be said for consistency as the food is always good here and had probably only gotten better since they opened. The tater tots with kimchee, bacon, qp mayo and samjang will forever change the way you look at tater tots in the future.
Mango Mania, (half?) sister bubble tea restaurant to Bubblemania Cafe, is all about the mangoes. Mangoes on mangoes on mangoes. It’s mango paradise. Mango madness. Should I go on?. The inside is bright, clean and roomy although there’s only two main areas to sit at. Counter is cute minimalist style and has all their fresh mangoes out on display.
Awesome place for bubble tea. Highly recommend greeting the mango coconut.. The Bao I could pass on. It's a bit expensive for the size and quantity.
Love. This. Place.
The bao is awesome! Pork belly. Awesome! Bulgogi. Awesome. Coconut mango smoothy. Divine. Kimchi tots. Intriguing and worthwhile.
I really liked mango mania. Their prices are quite expensive tho. They were serving a mango salad today and it came with maybe 8 small pieces of mango served inside of one of those sample containers you get at Costco for $2. Most drinks are 5-8$. I will almost always get the Hong Kong classic. Anytime I had strayed from that I had been disappointed. Soooooooo yes... My last few times have been a bit disappointing.
Today I ordered the chrysanthemum mango and I found it bitter, not very mango-y and my cup was just a bit more than 3/4s full. Perhaps it's just my own assumption and expectation in wanting a near full cup. It's a small gripe but when you're paying $6-8 for a drink I expect that cup to be dang full. I would not order this again. I did not like the flavour or aftertaste.
I've had the coconut mango. I find the proportions of coconut to mango to be off. It is way too coconutty. It should be atleast 50-50 but usually it's about 2/3rds coconut and 1/3 mango. This may just be personal preference.
Hong Kong classic. I actually really like this drink. I agree with other reviewers who say the mango flavor is a bit faint. The price is also pretty steep. But I still really like it!!
Mango milk green tea with jasmine. I like the mango jasmine combo. I wish again the mango flavour was stronger. I wound up adding some of my friend's mango from her drink to mine just to beef it up. It tasted a bit watery tbh. I was also disappointed because again, it was like just over 3/4s full. Not a big deal but when ur paying 5$ for a drink you kinda don't want to see that 1.5 inches of air which you would not get at other bbt joints.
Never had their food.
Mango Mania is my new favourite go-to bubble tea/dessert drink cafe in Calgary! They offer signature mango and/or coconut drinks, various teas and smoothies, baos (Chinese taco-sandwiches), panna cotta and puddings! The shop is small, with only a few benches to sit on. My favourite is the coconut mango! I also quite like the young coconut slush (made with fresh young coconut), but it runs out quickly. If you want to try something new and delicious after dinner, go ahead and try out Mango Mania! Your trip will be worth it!
I stopped by here to grab a light dinner after a charity event downtown. Since it was Saturday, I was a bit surprise that this place was packed after 8pm. However, I think people were there more for the drinks than the food. I wanted to try this place before it even open. This place is a mango lovers dream, but what I was really after are the baos. Located on Centre Street N, this is a great location for business with Crescent Height High School nearby. The whole building is renovated. I remember this place use to be a Vietnamese restaurant.
Tried this new place yesterday, fresh mango milkshake was amazing! They have many variety of drinks all with a mango twist. Had the pork belly bao which was super flavourful, although I wish the bun was a little less greasy will definitely return!
I'm a big fan of mangoes so I absolutely love this place. Yes, the drinks are a little on the pricey side but they're really good! I got the HK Classic which was fully loaded with tapioca, huge mango chunks and pomelo. So to me, it was more of a dessert than a smoothie. One thing I don't like is their lack of tables and chairs.
i like mangoes. this place provides mango drinks. so i like this place. i like to go after work to pick up a quick dessert for the ride home. makes dealing with traffic easier.
i love mangoes
I was quite surprised of the set up on this place. I was expecting tables and chairs where you can hang and chat with your friends but in fact it was just a couple of benches and little side tables. More of take out style, so I do not recommend coming with a big group of people or you will have no where to sit. I decide to try the bao trio where you can select 3 different kind of baos from the menu for $12 and it includes a dessert. The pork belly was juicy and flavourful and my favourite, the spicy korean chicken was tasty as well, the roast duck was a bit bland but juicy. Could suggest them use some sort of a hosin sauce for the duck bao. The panna cotta was good, glad it came with the baos, it was a but small not sure if I would pay $2.50 for one individually. I got the blackberry, banana and mango smoothie, banana flavour was strong and didn't taste mango too much. My friends got mango mania and Hong Kong Classic and it looked good. Will have to try next time. I would suggest you come here as a dessert after having dinner. Mango coconut with mango jello is my usual go to drink when I come here.
Amazing Pork Belly Bao and Mango Lemonade.
This place is unreal! Went TWICE today. I had a drink earlier in the day because I popped by after lunch, and then came back to try the Bao for dinner cause everything that came out looked amazing. This place will not disappoint. The drink menu has something for everyone, and the Baos are to die for. Seriously. Tell everyone you know, and go running to Mango Mania. (Sadly, I was too excited to eat the amazing Bao, thay I didn't even think to get a photo)
