Went here for the first time the other night with a co-worker (they live nearby to it so have been there multiple times).
It has a definite old school traditional pub atmosphere/decor that I liked. It was very quiet when we arrived (on a Thursday about 5:30 pm) but had picked up by the time we left around 7:00. Nice crowd (not loud or rowdy like in a club or bar) and the service was good throughout.
I had the bacon mac & cheese on my co-workers advice. It was incredibly delicious. The cheese sauce was amazingly good!! The prices were a bit steep for me to go there often. But would definitely go there again.

! The food is great we devoured it fast !! The specials are good too. Wings have lots of meat on them and great flavours. The cod bites were fantastic ! I will be returning just for the cod bites. They are on special Thursdays !
Have been here a couple times with friends. Is a cozy little pub that is never really full or really loud, which is nice. They have a good selection of beer and it is always cold. Their pot pies are simple British comfort food done right. We were there one night and a guy and his buddy bought the whole bar a round of shots, which is always a nice surprise :)
Great spot for a beer after work in the area. Solid, big and meaty wings with great flavours. Makes you feel like you're having a beer in your own backyard or you're living room pub.
Best Fish & Chips in Calgary. What else can I say? 3rd time here and the fish and chips are always excellent. The batter is crispy and the fish is cooked just right. The beer is cold and the owners are happy to welcome you. The only thing I could call a complaint is that they could use more staff on a Saturday night. Service can be a bit slow when it's busy, but it's friendly.
Have not eaten here but have been for drinks a few times...very British pub! Kara was our server last time and she made me a great virgin drink because I was driving and she was always there to top off pints for my friends
My friend who recently moved from Scorland stayed longer than us then got confused about a taxi, I called the bar and Kara made a point to call a taxi and wait for him to be picked up because he was a bit drunk and confused with the location. She also thanked us loads of times and was just overall wonderful, keep it up lady!!
A Hidden Gem. This place is so English, I love it! Their selection of lager is great, the fish and chips are delicious and the haggis is fantastic! I think they should have a sign along MacLeod trail to advertise people where they're located. They're just so tucked away its a shame that not a lot of people know about this place.
Solid English pub with an excellent beer selection. Great food menu, and if anything try the haggis.
This was a really great place. A band was playing on a Friday night when we went in and they weren't too loud or obnoxious. The food was great and we had good service too. My fiancé and I were looking for some fish and chips and there was a groupon deal for this place. We thought we'd check it out and it was definitely worth it! Well surely be back. Fun times!
Love this place. Always good service. Never too busy. Unique looking place that has great beer selection and awesome food. Never had a bad meal here. Great for bringing parties or lots of friends to, as there is usually alot of space to gather. Check out out for sure!
Great Place for a Private Party. I recently attended a birthday party in The Dog and Duck's Private Room, and it was great. We pre-ordered some larger platters that they offer to private parties and the food was really good. Our server was great, and she worked her but off all night for us. Also, their private room has a pool table which is free to use. I am very happy with everything the Dog and Duck had to offer, and would recommend the Dog & Duck to anyone looking for a place to hold a party.
Great Find!. If you want the feel of an authentic English Pub, this is it. Tucked away in an urban setting, this place is truly a hidden gem. Great English Lagers on tap, food was spot on, and the setting made you feel like you were in the old UK. Certainly a destination pub!
Better than most.. The food was a bit more authentic than most 'Irish Pubs.' The liver was good, the bangers were good, the wing sauces were unique and good. Good beer selection. Prices were good. All in all... good.
